(Names have been altered slightly, just in case.)

Josie: I have a new crusshhhhh

Matt: Me too! On a boy!

Pearl: You're a boy with a crush on a boy?

Matt: Yeah he's really cute.

Pearl: Oh.

(pause for a bit)

Matt: Boys can like boys. I just can't marry him because boys can't marry boys.

Me: Yeah they can. You can marry whoever you want.

Matt: Really?

Josie: YEAH my tia has a wife so now I have a titi and a auntie.

Matt: Okay. Then maybe I'll marry him.

Dave: (from across the room) No you can't you're seven.

(Age was apparently the only foreseeable problem anyone of my elementary schoolers could see with gay marriage. I almost cried out of happiness. Later, when I was asked if boys could kiss anyone they wanted, I replied "only if they want to kiss you back." And Josie responded "Yeah! Your body your life.")

I SAW...

The 25th Anniversary production of Phantom of the Opera at Gold Class last night.

OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING!!!

Not only the Musical itself, but afterwards when Andrew Lloyd Webber came out and he was all awkward, and Michael Crawford coming out (though he didn't sing, which was sad) and Anthony Warlow, Colm Wilkinson, John Owen-Jones and Hugh Panaro all singing together. It was absolutely amazing and i want to see it again and again.

I Love Footloose

I love how the 'bad boy' dances, sings, reads and does gymnastics.

If this was the definition of a bad boy when i was in school there would have been a sudden and very strange shift in popularity.

I am unsure whether i want to watch the new one, i hear its scene for scene the original... But WITHOUT Kevin Bacon. That seems wrong to me.

I AM THE SMILING ASSASSIN

Or the non-lethal variety anyway.

I feel really bad about it but i cannot stand my housemate, she is selfish, rude and messy. I literally complain about her to EVERYBODY! and wish that i could get her kicked out. Which is horrible of me as i am usually rather tolerant of other people. 

But GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

And yet when she comes into the kitchen i smile and ask her how her day is and have a nice chat about her life.

We don't talk about the fact that i left her a note the night before telling her to put back the powerboard that she took from the kitchen, because it wasn't hers to take.

And that she needs to clean the microwave after she cooks something in it that explodes.

And that she needs to flush the toilet after every use because she's a disgusting individual (really wish i wrote that part in the note, but in reality finished it on "after every use")

I want her to go the hell away, but in the end it will be me that up's and leaves. I also have this feeling that, that is what she wants.

Then she can move her own friends in and i just cant fathom just how disgusting the apartment will get. It makes me shudder.

So i smile, and i chat, and i think to myself the entire time... "my god you are disgusting".
