First To The Tomb

Oh Lord,

Give me strength to run —

Run from doubt,

And towards Your disciples.

For had it been heard

that someone has defeated death?

Help me,

For Satan is faster than me,

And hell must I overtake?

I believe in You,

For You redeemed Your servant Lazarus from Sheol.

But I truly am a mortal,

A slave to both sin and doubt.

But You have been merciful to me,

Freed me from 7 demons at Your call.

For You purified me with Your Word,

And set a place for me among Your inheritance.

I remember,

Days ago,

Washing Your feet with perfume and my braid.

For I belong at Your feet —

Back then, and on Mount Calvary.

You took me in,

Like a bride covered with a veil.

For I belong to You.

So please,

Do not let me hesitate

To say I do.

I do believe in You,

And in Your resurrection
