Being closer to Nagisa's age and the younger of the three sisters, Nanako was a tad more doting/closer to the young swimmer. When her elder sister's tried teasing him, being the only boy in the family, Nanako would join in merely to be part of the group but would be less spirited about it.

Being the youngest girl also meant being the most coddled of the girl's and thus why she's the one to take her parent's side on issues.

Family just means the world to Nanako.

Nanako enjoys a peaceful household - she's the one whom tries to placate others though her methods leave much to be desired. Still she's at her happiest when everyone is getting along and is the most doting of her sisters toward their little brother.
