For fun, I made a list of small moments in my life that stuck with me. The grand majority of them could be categorized as "fleeting experiences with nature" and what I draw makes a ton of sense.
The first childhood memory I wrote down was "finding a horsehair worm in a toy bucket" and… yeah, that tracks.

I’ve always enjoyed doing scratchboard art, and I love that you pull from woodcuts as your inspiration. It’s such a cool way to approach illustration.
Scratchboard art is awesome! I think I've only done it once, so it's neat you've been able to explore that technique.
And thank you! I started to use woodcuts as inspiration when I was working mostly with pen and ink. But, after shifting to digital illustration, I leaned into that influence and it sort of stuck with me. The lines and texture produced by woodcuts are a particular obsession of mine.
