ALRIGHTY. i know i just got caught up everywhere, but i’m still feeling very…. eh?, in regards to my multimuse blogs. tbh i’ve been struggling a lot with inspiration on these two. ( hence why catching up took me so fucking long. ) i blame a lot of it on how crazy things got for me during the holiday season, but me attempting to start a million new things during that time and while playing catch up just resulted in me getting more bogged down and has leeched a lot of my muse more than anything. that part’s definitely my fault. i kinda thought it’d work more in the opposite direction, but hey, lesson learned. 

i’m also realizing that splitting my multimuse into two probably wasn’t the best idea, since my inspiration for each individual muse fluctuates so frequently and it’s making my need for organization real crazy to deal with.

soooo in the interest of not letting myself get out of hand any further, i’ve decided on a few things:

i did a huuuuuge draft purge. i had about 40-45 between my two multis. i dropped it down to less than 20, keeping only the stuff i have the absolute most muse for and, for the most part, newer. you can view what i’ve got left here ( @hcavyhearted​ ) & here ( @bycandleliqht ). most of it was older stuff, but a lot of it was pretty new, too. i’m really sorry about that, but i needed to be kinda strict about the purge to get as close to a fresh start as possible. if i dropped anything between us, consider this an open invitation to plot out a restart, starting it up again from a different point, or even doing something totally new!!!! 

i’m moving muses from @hcavyhearted back over here.

muse bios are getting added, but being kept relatively short except for more unknown characters & oc’s, who will get their own pages.

a few muses have been listed as ‘private’ bc i really only use them with a couple of people & i mostly just have muse for them doing those things. 

gonna take a biiiiit of a break. probably like a week, just to get all those muse bios worked on! ( but i’ll still be lurking & on discord for plotting and all that! )

after that, i’ll be posting up plotting calls and such. i really think i need to do more plotted stuff to get my inspiration going again. a lot of my stuff was winging it. which again, my fault for starting so much. but when i end up in a rut that tends to go southward, so here we are.

and that’s it! again, i’m SO sorry for being such A Mess™, but i think after i’ve got this done, i’ll be good to go again finally. ( *NOTE: none of this applies to @dragondiamonds. things will continue as normal there, other than that i’m working on coding a new bio page. )

Emily let out another small yawn. Eleven?! It was that late already? “Oh…sorry about that I didn’t mean to be out so late.” She notes softly while closing the book she’d been in the middle of reading. Though, she doubted her family had been too worried about where she might have wandered off to anyway. She gives her mom a small sleepy smile. “That sounds nice….though would I be able to sneak in a request for something sweet too?”

     ❛  It’s alright, love.  You aren’t in trouble.  But you will sleep much better in your bed.  ❜   Mathilda placed a loving hand on Emily’s hand, fingers lightly running through the dark locks.  Whenever Emily disappeared somewhere, Mathilda did not get the same flood of worry as with her siblings.  They always found her reading or practicing her craft   —   never getting into mischief.  Mathilda appreciated that endlessly.

    A twinkle of amusement sparkled in her eye, and she only pretended to consider a moment before she nodded her head.   ❛  Oh, I suppose.  But it will be small, and you will not tell your siblings about it.  Else I’ll  never  hear the end of it.  ❜   Mathilda drew her hand back, resting it in her lap.   ❛  What would you like, sweetheart?  ❜

     After not seeing her brother for months on end, Rosella wanted nothing but a happy reunion.  They fought  horribly  just before his wedding, and that fight still plagued her even now.  She couldn’t count a single warm letter from him since, no matter how many times she wrote him, either apologizing or simply making conversation.  Until he left for the Green Isles, they spent nearly every day together.  She missed him terribly, and she hoped that with a reunion after all this time apart, they could finally put that stupid argument aside.

     And yet, here they sat at supper, the atmosphere still tense, and a little cold.  The day put her in so glum a mood that she barely spoke all meal.  She didn’t even touch her pie.  

     The only one who seemed to have any luck with this reunion was their mother.  Even Graham and Alexander barely spoke, but then again, they endured an awful fight just before Alexander left, too.  Rosella longed to help mend that bridge between them, but she couldn’t even do that, the way things felt right now. 

     So, as the meal concluded and they all started for their rooms, Rosella decided she had enough.  No matter how badly they argued last they saw each other, Alexander was her brother.  Her  twin,  and she did not intend on letting the night end this coldly between them.  Pushing her untouched plate away from her, Rosella rushed from her chair and down the dining hall, after Alexander.

     ❛  Alexander, wait.  ❜

     Rosella grabbed hold of his arm the second she got close enough, not wanting to risk him ignoring her and hurrying off, but her grip softened instantly.   ❛  I know it’s been a long day and you probably want your rest, but... do you have a moment?  I was hoping we could talk.  ❜

     Pain shot through Victoria’s body   —   primarily her  head,  pounding so violently it made her whole body feel sluggish and  dead.  That inconvenience mattered little right now, though.  Because the biggest  inconvenience  was  laying naked in her bed.

     Vague, blurry memories swam through her head.  Lots of partying and all the accompanying activities.  Shot after shot, one too many hits of whatever they all passed around to numb the stress and the pain.  She remembered yelling right in Chloe’s face, appalled that she would even  dare  show her face at the same party.  

     Fuck, Victoria couldn’t remember how that changed.  How screaming over the music became an aggressive crush of their lips, bruising touches, and far,  far  more than things ever should have gone with Chloe Goddamn Price.

     Naturally, unbridled rage overrode every ounce of pain in her.  Victoria clutched at her blanket, keeping it held up over her body as she sat up in bed.  Eyes narrowed into a scowl, her death glare followed Chloe all the way out of bed.  Oh god, she was very,  very  naked.  Victoria hurriedly averted her gaze.  

     ❛  Just keep your eyes off me, Price.  You got  lucky  last night, only because I evidently drank enough to mistake trash for something  decent.  It’s not going to happen again, got it?  In fact, we’re not even going to  speak  of it.  ❜

He did a quick knock on her office door before entering. And before he had entered he made sure to finish off his cigarette, he knew better than to smoke in her office. “Wanted to see him?” God, he hoped whatever she wanted him to do didn’t involve some wild goose chase. Bigby wasn’t exactly in the mood for running around their little community for nothing. It was hard enough trying to help keep everyone in line and not try to kill one another.

     At the sound of a knock upon her office door, Snow lifted her head from the files stacked atop her desk.   ❛  Come in,  ❜   she called out, and the door opened merely seconds later.  As expected, Bigby entered the doorway.  She gave a short nod.  ❛  Mr. Wolf.  There you are.  ❜  Endlessly formal, as usual.

     Snow lowered her pen and clasped her hands together.   ❛  I have a... small, regrettably somewhat  personal  matter I need you to look into, but one that falls under  your  job description, nonetheless.  Rose seems to be up to her usual tricks again.  The wild parties, getting  horrendously  drunk in Mundy bars, hanging with crowds that will no doubt get her into trouble with  Mundy  authorities...  I’m not asking you to  apprehend  her, or anything, just let her know we  are  keeping an eye on her.  Call it a warning.  I’m hoping an official visit from you might give us a better chance at lessening the inevitable fall out.  ❜

                The ringing of the bells had such mixed effects on the runaway’s emotions. The noise drowned out her fears, her thundering heartbeat - a GOOD thing in that way, not to mention the kind of pleasure she perceived from the musicality of the sound. If not for her current predicament, the setting and the bells would have been an unforgettably soothing experience. Unfortunately, there was the other side to it, the inescapable reality, that struck her harder with every turn. The circus girl had left the travelling group after all those years, and yet she could still feel their terrifying clutches wrapped around an invisible leash. 

“Hello?” How small her voice sounded in the great space of the sanctuary she’d heard the dancer mention. It had been but a brief encounter - performer to performer - but the content of the conversation had stuck with her and rang through her thoughts like the bells, reminding her there was a singular possibility that might not ever occur again. A possibility to escape once and for all, wasn’t that a thrilling and frightening idea? But she’d done it. Madellaine was out… but what if this safe haven wouldn’t protect her? 

As a shiver ran down her spine at the inevitable reminders of any plausible bad outcome to this decision, the blonde roamed through the vicinity. Curiosity felt so out of place in that moment, but there was simply too much to be seen ( and HEARD ). “Incredible…” she thus murmured to herself. Not a minute later, she turned right round, thinking she’d perceived the sound of another voice. “Hello? Is - is anyone there?”

More. She had to say more. What if the other was a shy person? Perhaps, it would take some convincing to have them show themselves to a total stranger. Introducing herself seemed like the way to go. “My name is Madellaine, and I’m with… I mean, I was with the circus, but I guess I don’t have to mention that anymore.” The latter was the first of hopefully many reliefs to come. Sadly, there were yet too many concerns outweighing the positive senses. 

The out of rhythm bell finally hinted her at a more fruitful direction for her pleas. “Oh, there you are! I-I was starting to think I was talking to myself,” said the girl, chuckling in slight embarrassment. “Wouldn’t be the first time, actually. Silly me.” Her approach was tentative but determined. This was, after all, her only hope. If only she could find a way to get to the stranger’s position, considering, as she did, that they might not even be able to hear a word she’d said with the bells so close. Speaking louder was the first thing she could think of. “I hope I’m not… bothering you.”

      He remained within the bell, practically holding his breath for fear of moving the bell, though Quasimodo knew such a small action couldn’t move the weight of it.  Stuck here now, Quasimodo realized his error in hiding spot.  While he couldn’t hear the visitor either way, from inside the bell, he couldn’t  see  them either.  Did they give up and leave?  Or were they still wandering about the tower?

      ❛  What are you doing hiding in here for?  Go out there and say something to her!  ❜

     One of the robed figures popped into the corner of his eye, and Quasimodo  jumped  at the sudden words, knocking against the bell as he did so.  The movement sent the body swinging ever so slightly, and he darted down to grab the lip, stopping it from moving any further.    

     ❛  Shhh!  ❜   he whispered fiercely.   ❛  Quiet!  Don’t want to see anyone new right now!  ❜   It still took him so much mental preparation meandering through the crowds on busy days in town.  How could he go out and face someone new so unexpectedly?  Someone who would likely run right in the other direction once they found someone like him lurking in the tower, instead of whatever else they sought up here.

     ❛  You ought to be telling  yourself  that.  No one can hear  us...  ❜   Another popped up inside the bell.

     ❛  ...But she can certainly hear  you.  ❜   ...And another...

     Quasimodo gulped, a panic setting in.  Oh, he didn’t think about that before he spoke.  Did he whisper quietly enough?  No one peeked underneath the bell yet, so perhaps...

     ❛  So there’s no point in hiding anymore, Quasi!  Just go out there and see what she needs!  You did it with Esmeralda, and look what great friends you are now!  ❜

     He opened his mouth to protest, but before he could get a word out, the rest crowded in beneath the bell.   ❛  Now, go!  ❜   they shouted, and the overwhelming encouragement bellowing into his mind sent him sprawling off balance   —   right out beneath the lip of the bell.

     Scrambling, Quasimodo only just grabbed the edge of the rafter, legs swinging out beneath him.  Panic hit him full in the chest now, and he looked around frantically   —   his gaze locked with the blonde figure near instantly, perched upon the stairs just a few feet off.  He stared, at a loss, and the moment seemed to stretch on endlessly.   ❛  I   —   Uh   —  ❜   Words caught in his throat, and he could only hope what he forced out sounded vaguely coherent.   ❛  ...Sorry.  Very busy cleaning the bells.  ❜
