╰☆⊰; Liliana was finally out of the hospital again, and also fully healed from what she could tell. Now it was time to get to know William without having him to save her again. From what she knew, it was his free day today, and the mermaid had decided he maybe needed to have some fun - seeing William did not seem like the type of guy who was just enjoying the good things in life now and then.

╰☆⊰; She had been packing a picnic basket - even with some self-made cookies - and even her swimming clothes for later. With all that packed onto her bike she stopped at William’s place, opening the door with a grin.

╰☆⊰; “Hey! So, I really hope it is your free day today, because I officially came to kidnap you now!”

william was surprised to hear the door open - it was rare for him to have visitors & he didn’t have plans for today. one hand automatically twitched to the gun in the pocket of his pants , a hunter could never be too careful , but he relaxed when he noticed that it was liliana. 

“ hey. feeling better ? “ it was good to see that she made it out of the hospital , that was for sure. wait... she came here to kidnap him ? “ oh yeah ? where are we going ? ”

╰☆⊰; Ashlyn knew it the bar was closed tonight - it was the only night this week actually, and also only because the electricity wasn’t working in this street. But she was still there. Cleaning the counter in the twilight of some candles - which was actually stupid considering it was more than clean already - and waiting for William to come back so the could finally talk about what happened this night when they had been kissing each other here.

it was late by the time william got back to his bar - he took his sweet time buying new supplies , what was the point in rushing when it stayed closed for at least another night ? what he didn’t expect was an unlocked door & he raised his eyebrows in surprise when he found ashlyn , cleaning the counters it seemed. 

“ hi. “ he mumbled as he placed the boxes of alcohol on he floor. “ what are you doing here ? you really shouldn’t have to work on a free day. “ she already worked hard enough all of the damn time.

the hunter nodded in acknowledgement of her words. good. this situation was not worth dying for & even if it certainly looked like she was a little crazy , it was reassuring to think that she would drop the massive branch if she had to. william laughed breathlessly while he gave the thing another push , giving her a quick side-glance while he echoed her words. “ trust me - i don’t plan on dying. “ not here , not tonight , not like this.

Visenya’s heartbeat was pulsing heavily through her veins, jagged in adrenaline. Her crystal hues snapped right ahead the second the car stopped, trying to look through the pouring rain for any other car was approaching. While the lack of a crush let her know she didn’t hit anybody, that twig in the middle of the street combined with her stopping right in the middle of it, could cause a massive accident. The phoenix grabbed the door handle and was about to open it, when another figure approached her from the side and checked up on her; perfect. “I’m fine, just—-stand by,” she shouted back through her shut window and turned the engine back on. She drove backwards, letting room for him to stand aside, and parked the car at the edge of the street. After turning off the engine, the brunette opened the door and stepped into the rain with ease, its cold droplets crushing like ice cubs on her fiery skin and soaking her clothes and raven locks. She walked instantly for the twig in the middle of the road, while throwing a look at the guy’s way. “Hey, we need to move that twig from the middle of the street before someone gets killed here,” she told him whilst beginning to push it out of the way.

the hunter did as she said , standing back while she parked her car. it was much safer that way & he was glad to see that the female was capable of driving it - but that didn’t mean that she was actually fine. maybe it was just the adrenaline & william refused to leave until he knew that for sure. what he didn’t expect was for her to get out of the car just so she could run right back into the middle of the street. “ i don’t think that is a good idea. “ he called over to her with a sigh. if it kept pouring like that no one would be able to see them. they could easily be the ones that could get killed , but that didn’t mean that he’d let her risk it on her own. “ damn it. “ william cursed under his breath before he ran toward the massive twig , joining in on the attempts to move it. “ just drop it if a car approaches , yeah ? “ anything else would only cause more damage.

“Fucking Montana,” Visenya muttered underneath her breath. The phoenix was as grateful as the next person that she got to find the town and make it her safe haven, at least for a while, but it was nights like this when rain was pouring like it was tossed down on Earth from a gigantic bucket, that had her wondering why couldn’t the stones be guarded in the Bahamas instead. She was driving back home after spending all evening gathering evidence for a client’s case, soft rock music drumming lowly through the car’s stereo, when a lightning hit the tree close to the road, cutting off a large tree that fell right in the middle of the street. “Fuck!” Instantly, she took a quick turn to avoid it and hit her breaks, just as someone was crossing the road.

the weather was terrible - william couldn’t deny that - but to be honest... the hunter enjoyed the rain. there was something beautiful to it & while thunderstorms scared some people they only fascinated him. enough to make him walk through the rain , instead of calling a cab. what was the point ? his house was not far from the black hallows bar. it would’ve been a waste of money & a lot of cabs were awfully slow during weather like this anyway so it would’ve been a waste of time too. slow driving just because of rain was something he never understood , but maybe that was about to change. it all happened too fast for his brain to process it. lighting struck a tree , causing it to fall onto the street which forced someone to hit the breaks much harder than they were supposed to. the car came to an abrupt stop & it seemed like nothing happened , but what kind of a guy would he be if he just moved along ? the man ran a hand through his wet hair as he approached the car , quickly glancing through the window to check on the driver inside of it. “ are you alright , miss ? “

" that is true... “ & there was no point in denying it. kissing her was pleasant - who couldn’t use that feeling after a long day ? but that didn’t mean that he didn’t care about her at all. far from it. william certainly wouldn’t kiss her if it was any different. 

the hunter grinned for one moment , thinking about her question until he shrugged. “ i wouldn’t mind taking care of you right on one of those bar tables. i’m adaptable... “ he chuckled quietly while he brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. “ just as i wouldn’t mind going somewhere else. let me know what you want and you’ll get it. “

the females reaction was unexpected - william honestly didn’t think that his words would cause her to fight her tears. liliana was the one that suggested the hospital , the hunter only agreed that it was the smartest thing to do... & he couldn’t say that he changed his mind about that. “ look... you fell from a tree. i’m sure you’re going to be alright , but i’m not taking any risks here. if you hurt your head things could be pretty bad. “ william didn’t want to have to torture himself with ‘what ifs’ for the rest of his life. “ we will make this quick , okay ? “ he sighed while he gave her back a reassuring pat. “ and i can stay there with you if you want... we just have to check this out. “

the hunter wasn’t sure if he was supposed to be angry or amused about the fact that she freaking punched him just now. it was hard to tell if she did it on purpose too - but william couldn’t pretend that he was happy about this either way. even if it was a mistake.

the man moved his jaw for one moment , trying to loosen the tension that built up after her hand collided with his face. “ you’ve got quite some strength for someone that tiny. “ he muttered with a ( humorless ) laugh. he honestly didn’t think that it would hurt so much to be hit by a woman , but the ache was already starting to die down. fortunately.
