finn smiled and offered his arm to the other to link to, hoping to seem like a gentleman, even if it was old fashioned by this world’s standards. “i knew i could rely on you.” finn laughed, delighted that she had agreed. “ciaran told me you two are much alike. do you tend to agree with him on that?” finn asked curiously, hoping to get to know the other better.
Easily taking his arm, she smiles and laughs with him, already beginning to walk as she listens to him. “It’s my duty as the youngest sister to be as annoying as possible.” She states and grins. “I do! Our poor mum probably thought that she was safe from anymore chaos until I was born.”
"I mean, ye could, since it seems you've had some fun without us already." Ciaran looked down at the sleeping babe on his sister's chest and studies her for a moment before looking back up at Aidyn. "She's as pretty as her mother. When did she happen?"
Aidyn laughs and playfully rolls her eyes at her brother's remark. "Joke's on ye because she was born back home." She says and smiles at the compliment. "Thanks, and well, it was during the war, and when we'd send letters to one another, I knew ye were overwhelmed with all of that and didn't want to cause any distractions by mentioning that your baby sister was pregnant so I kept it quiet."
“Was that the sound of a pipe bursting? Please, tell me no.” (Keyleth to anyone)
"It might have been" Aron agreed, it had been a surprising noise to say the least. "Though I will admit, I do not know enough about what sound a bursting pipe makes to answer that with any confidence" it just hadn't been the sort of life he had lived before, mostly because Coventry didn't have pipes, well not in the same way. "It may be better to call a plumber, unless you wish to try and locate the source".
@hcpefuldreaming
Keyleth shuts her eyes for a moment when she groans. “Oh, I was hoping that you’d say it wasn’t, but you didn’t.” She sighs and puts a hand to her forehead. “Okay! That’s reassuring…kind of? Um, no! I can fix it, or at least, I can try. Even if I make it worse, at least we’ll have the plumber on speed dial.”
i can't recall the last time that we talked. (Keyleth to anyone)
.。.:*☆ "And I am sorry about that." Nott was still struggling to adapt to everything. While being a goblin - and after everything that had happened before - she had been so self-destructive, wanting to drown her pain and feel numb, that it was hard now to return to a somewhat normal life.
"I told you I am not always the best company. Maybe I should get one of those.... what are they again? Phones?" She was not entirely sure yet how this whole thing really worked. Not even her shop had a landline. It was very old-fashioned. Her assistant was actually handling everything connected to technology in some way. "Then we could talk without having to meet in person. I think."
@hcpefuldreaming
Keyleth furrows her eyebrows together, but nods as she looks over at the other. “Did you not have a phone in your fake life here?” She asks out of genuine curiosity more than anything else. “Wha’s wrong with meeting in person though? I mean, if it’s a busy schedule thing, then I can understand that, but I also don’t want to think that you don’t want to hang out with me.” She laughs awkwardly and clears her throat when she looks back down.
erik laughed quietly at that. perhaps the most egotistical side of himself liked being literally above people, but he didn't think that was quite it. "i like knowing that my opera is running well without having to deal with people." he admitted bluntly. "present company excluded, of course." he added. he was surprised that he felt somewhat at ease. under normal circumstances, he would have tired to scare a trespasser away. but something about the other intrigued him, and he decided that he could choose not to be the arrogant shit he knew he could be. "well...it's an incredible place. i believe i know what you mean." he felt proud of his accomplishments, sure, but he also knew what she had meant. beyond the visual splendor, there was a certain air about the opera, a mysticism that seemed somewhat undefinable to even the phantom himself. "well...anyone with a calling to this place must have some connection to the arts. do you sing madam?"
"Have you always had such a strong dislike for people?" She asks, smiling a little more up at him when he says that she's not included in that opinion. Pulling a few strands of hair behind her ear, she moves to stand on the stage, walking around absentmindedly before stopping. "Then I am glad that I'm not alone in that thought. I don't sing." Christine quickly says before shaking her head and laughing a little. "Not professionally, at least. I don't know if I'd ever sing on a stage like this."

erik’s hands were in his head as he sat at the piano. he couldn’t concentrate today, the melody wasn’t coming together, nothing seemed to work to create the mood he had needed. still, when he heard the voice of the soprano, he couldn’t help but be a bit less bothered by the whole thing. but he was downright shocked by the kind gesture. erik took the snack, humbled by such a gesture. “that is most kind of you. how…how did you find the eclairs i like?” erik asked, surprised given how normally picky he was.
The urge to rub his back as she saw him with his head in his hands at the piano was strong, but she refrained from being so forward and nervously clasped her hands together, playing with them once she had put down the snack. "A little birdie told me." She giggles and shakes her head. "My apologies, I jest. I recalled you mentioning that you like them in our previous conversation."
“My Netflix password, I get to decide what we watch.” (Ariel to anyone) @hcpefuldreaming
"okay, i guess that's fair," seth said, with a shrug as he settled down on to the couch, setting the snacks in between them. "but please nothing scary! something feel good or comedy. pretty, pretty please?" he would in the end watch whatever his friend picked, but seth wasn't really one for horror.
“Thank you.” She smiles and sits criss-cross applesauce on the couch, turning her head as she shakes it. “Don’t worry, I wasn’t planning on anything scary, especially nothing with werewolves, they always portray them horribly.” She rolls her eyes and puts on a comedy instead.
"How that's the case I can't understand, but I'm genuinely honored." Aeneas kissed her again gently, smiling softly as he pulled back. "You can try. Though I think it's fairly unrealistic for you to be at my side 24/7 making sure I don't think too hard."
“I hope you one day understand and see what I clearly see in you.” Ariel muses as she hums in contentment and kisses him back. Tilting her head to the side, she smirks and nuzzles her head into the crook of his neck, pressing a kiss at his pulse point. “Try me.”
"Ugh, I suppose. I have really good not-dying luck so I wouldn't worry sunshine.." He chuckled softly before rolling his eyes. "Hope isn't real. Hope is just...optimism of stuff that's not gonna happen soon. Hope is for fools looking for the world to be better than it is. Hope isn't real. At least, not for creatures like me." The grin fades from his lips, but he doesn't pull away, just happy in the moment he'd found himself in. "It comes with a cost or leaves one beholden to gods. I don't use it ever if I have a choice."
"Woohoo! I'm very happy to hear it." She grins at him and boops his nose with her finger. "What? I'm very real." She jokes and tilts her head to the side as she listens. "Ahh, the keyword being soon, so there is hope of it happening. The world can be good, I'm not a fool to believe so. You deserve hope, and me, which is really just killing two birds with one stone because that's my name, Hope." She giggles and nods in understanding. "Magic comes with a price in my world, too."
Rhysand resisted the urge to close himself off again when he felt the worry he was creating, letting her see those emotions and thoughts he tried to keep inside. He averted his gaze, his jaw flexing slightly before he just pressed a kiss to her head at the apology. "Nothing for you to be sorry for darling, Just..where I'm at in the moment."
Rhys sighed as she spoke, shaking his head. "It's only been a couple days, it's...it could've been so much worse." He yawned again before she was dragging him off, knowing he'd likely give her anything she asked if she pressed. Letting her pull him into bed, Rhys smiled softly at her giggling, kissing her gently at the sound. "I love when you do that."
"I hate that you're feeling this way, especially when there's nothing to be done back home while we're here." She sighs and strokes his cheek with her thumb. "Of course, I'm sorry, I want there to be more that I can do so that way I can take this weight off of your shoulders."
Feyre makes a tsk sound and shakes her head as well. "A couple of days still isn't great. You're going to bed, my love." Once they're in their room and on the bed, she kisses him back, smiling into it. "What? Pull you into our bed?" She asks.
@hcpefuldreaming || “Excuse you, you don’t need a pillow. I’m right here, and perfectly pillow-shaped!” (Feyre to Rhysand)
"Pillow shaped huh?" Rhys gave her an amused smile before forsaking his journey to get a pillow and ended up settling back on the couch, his head in her lap. "Is this more to your liking then?"
"Yup, it's a new addition to all the gifts I was given." She jokes and smiles as he rests his head on her lap and she happily hums, running her fingers through his hair, lightly scratching the scalp. "That's perfect, thank you."
@hcpefuldreaming || “Since things keep breaking, I think we have a household ghost. And I’m gonna name him Steve. Steve, you’re a dick.” (Melinda to Eris)
"If there was a ghost in here, wouldn't you be able to know their name by talking to them?" Eris looked at her with some confusion before chuckling and shaking his head at her. "But hopefully "steve" will stop being a dick soon. Maybe "Steve" should be more careful when she's putting the dishes away."
"No, sometimes spirits don't always give me their name or even talk for that matter, not all of them want my help, in fact, I typically push to get more info so that I can help them. They're usually grateful for it later on." Mel explains as she nods her head at his next words before her jaw drops and she scoffs. "Are you blaming me??? I haven't broken anything, thank you very much!" She grabs the dish towel and playfully tosses it at him. "I will not be framed for a spirit's troublesome work, how rude."
“Somewhere in this house, there’s a smoke alarm low on batteries. And it’s taunting me with its beeps, because it knows I can’t figure out which one it is.” Sabrina & Melinda ( @hcpefuldreaming )
"I can help you figure it out?" Sabrina questioned while she glanced around the house before looking back at the brunette. "Maybe if we both look at them, we'll be able to see which one is low on batteries? Or maybe it just needs to be reset?" She mentioned, standing up from her chair, taking her coffee with her as she left the kitchen. "We can start in the living room."
@greatxdivide
"You'd be a lifesaver if you can." Mel says with a smile and nods. "The batteries are probably just old from a lack of use." She suggests and gets up from her chair as well. "Sounds like a plan to me, I'll get a chair before we find the alarm."
"That... was not what I was expecting honestly" she replied honestly, it definitely seemed impossible. "But easiest to believe in the impossible then just refuse to. Especially on an island like this" it was all so different from what she had always known. "That's how you do it?"
"Not a lot of people expect to hear someone say that they can talk to the dead, so I get it." Melinda smiles and shrugs her shoulders a little. "Truer words have never been spoken...again." She giggles and nods. "Yeah, they just..come to me when they need help."
"Only way for them to be permanently gone is to dieee." Kai laughed a little before shaking his head. "So, the drinking, fighting, and fucking just...work for me." The demigod watches the blush warm her cheeks and smirks a little, liking the sight of it almost as much as he likes hearing her giggle. "If it was real you'd have a lot of it." Kai grinned a little before she was holding her hand out to him again, saying she wouldn't poof them anywhere. "No poofing..but alright." With a sigh he laced his fingers with hers and started walking in the right direction, h
"Yeah, can we avoid that happening to you, please and thank you? I'd really rather you not die." She mirrors him and shakes her own head. "Hope is real, silly. I'm very real as well." She muses and hums happily, blushing a little more at the sight of his grin. "Out of curiosity, are you just not a fan of magic? I respect it, but I'm also curious."
❛ i’ll make you something. ❜ (Hope & anyone)
"Oh you don't need to do that" it felt like too much, but then she also knew that she wasn't all that used to people doing things for her either. "Honestly it's fine, you don't need to be put out".
@hcpefuldreaming
"It's no worries at all, I love to cook." Hope smiles softly and waves a hand to show her that it's totally fine. "When someone decides to be friends with me, they rather quickly learn that I love to do things for them."
