alright, so! i was looking for some more motivation to read all of your amazing intros, and i thought! hey! why not create an ask meme inspired by all of the wonderful characters in this roleplay! and after asking the admins if it was okay, and them agreeing to let me do this, i started choosing characters at random (using random.org), and reading about them until i came up with a question inspired by them! okay, so, fact is, i can’t really read, so some of these may not make sense, but at least i tried? anyway, here’s the first batch of 22 questions based on characters from this roleplay! the next batch should be coming either today or tomorrow! also, fun fact: these ask memes will be updated around every two weeks to include new characters!

“It’s no secret I don’t like him. And it’s not like I don’t have a reason – I’m not just…holding a grudge against him because of his dad and my dad, that’d be moronic. He’s just the type of person that disgusts me most – a coward. He’s too afraid to take a stand. He can afford NOT to take a stand because of who he is – that’s what grates me the most. My family doesn’t really have the luxury he has – to truly be able to be neutral. Even if one of us didn’t want to fight – and we all do because we know what’s right and we’re not afraid to stand up for it – we would be targeted and suspected anyways, just because of who we are. Meanwhile, the Malfoys can just slither their way out of trouble even though they’re not actually doing anything to help anyone but themselves, it’s BULLSHIT. I shouldn’t have to tell people that it’s immoral to remain Swiss neutral when there are Nazis fucking out there.

And him and I, we just fundamentally disagree on a lot of things – he’s still friends with and runs in the same circle as the Death Eaters and blood purists. He believes that, despite everything they’ve done, they’re not beyond saving because we’re just teenagers. There’s a reason why minors can be tried as adults if the crime is heinous enough – we’re all old enough to be held responsible for our actions, at least when it comes to fascism and murder. 

And more than anything I don’t like that Annie’s fallen head over heels for him. Because of him, his ex-girlfriend and her minions won’t stop tormenting her, and she deserves better than that. He dated Gamp for MONTHS, knowing full well how she treated people, but that clearly didn’t matter to him then – he kept dating her until she broke up with him. And now they won’t leave Annie alone, and he might not be able to stop them, but he’s the one dragging her into his Shakespearean tragedy of a love life. If he really cares about her, he should’ve just done what he’s best at and stayed quiet about it.”

She’s so fun, and she throws the BEST parties. I just wish she would let me be in charge of the invites for once – you know, she’s just like Annie and Nat – too nice for her own good. She believes in giving everyone a chance, even if they clearly don’t deserve one. I would say that I hope that she learns to be more cautious but…I really don’t want this war to break her or twist her into someone I don’t recognize. So…that just means I have to be the one watching out for her, which is fine. I’ll do whatever I can to protect her, gladly – that’s what family is for after all.”

WHERE: Room of Requirement

WHEN: February 23rd, 2024 (evening, shortly before curfew)

Lily had always grappled with the quiet.

Nearly two months since the battle, Lily found herself watching as the castle slipped into a sense of complacency -- of STILLNESS. It was nights like these where she found herself missing her father the most. The worst part of silence was that it forced her to think -- think about emotions that she didn’t want to dwell on for too long. She couldn’t allow herself to succumb to this grief. She just had to smother it, and alcohol was the only way she knew how, so she drank. Then drank some more. It wasn’t the smartest idea, given the current state of the castle, but she just wanted to quiet her mind for once. She needed to forget about all the fuck ups and mistakes and mourning and longing and missing and regret. To forget and ESCAPE.

So that night, when she reached the seventh floor, she didn’t make the usual right towards the Fat Lady’s portrait but went left, towards the Room of Requirement. She wanted to take refuge there for the night, where her housemates wouldn’t find her. Tomorrow she would face the world again, but tonight, she’d allow her this pitiful excuse of a break from everything and everyone.

But when she finally stumbled through the door, thinking about her father again, the Room of Requirement looked…different from what she last remembered it to be. She’d asked it for a place to rest several times before, but this time, there wasn’t only a bed but also a mirror. An ornate mirror with some kind of strange inscription on it that she couldn’t make sense of. But what mattered to Lily more was what she saw in that mirror: her dad standing beside her.

It was impossible. She was wasted – she was wasted, and she had to be seeing things. Her dad wasn’t there beside her; he was dead. But yet, he looked so real, so close to how she remembered him. Heartbeat racing, she couldn’t help but take a glance around the room, almost expecting him to be standing next to her. Almost. But of course, he wasn’t.

Tears threatening to spill, she quickly clenched her eyes, trying to fight them off and just barely succeeding. She didn’t understand. Was this…was this some kind of strange window to the afterlife? If she walked closer to the mirror, to her dad, would she…risk crossing the veil?

Deciding after merely split seconds of hesitation that it was worth the risk, she stepped closer the mirror, gingerly touching the glass and meeting his hands. It was solid. “Dad – I – Dad, are you…are you actually here? Give me a sign or something if you are. Please. I – I need to talk with you…there’s -- there’s just so much I have to say...things I didn’t say when I should’ve...” she managed to splutter out, slightly slurring over her words. “Please.”

DAD, of course. That’ll never change. I’ve wanted to be like him ever since I was a little girl. Or…I guess I’ve always felt like I have to be like him, like that’s what everyone expects me from me, but…I never really thought of it as a burden until now? I don’t know how he did it.

I – no, of course not. Dad would absolutely hate that – I could never do that to him. And I don’t trade lives when it comes to my loved ones. That would mean choosing one over another, and I refuse to do that. I could never live with their blood on my hands. Honestly, I – I don’t even know if I could do it if one of them begged me to sacrifice them but – it’s not like they’ll ever be a magic button to fix everything, so what’s the fucking point of this question anyways?

Well, I’d definitely kill Bulstrode because I’m sure as hell not fucking or marrying that annoying little twat. Her nose is too brown from kissing Gamp’s flat arse all the time – I’m not going anywhere near it. ( @violentlongiings ) Then I’d marry Volant. Just so I can kill him for his money and then give it all away to charity because you just know there’s nothing he’d hate more than giving his precious gold away to the needy.
