I remember seeing a mother watching her three children at the North Fountain. They were etching hearts across a length of paper, over a name I could only imagine belonged to their father. And I stood & watched as, slowly, the letters shone through the sheet. It saddens me to know that, in spite of those who have lost family & friends, most of the discussion which revolves around 9/11 are the conspiracy theories. Today I watched as a mother looked over the children she has been left alone to raise, some who looked too young to even remember who their father was... Now they have a heart-covered name to add to the collection of unforgotten memories for someone who can never be welcomed home... Anyway. For those who haven't yet, & who are able to, please visit the 9/11 Memorial. It truly is a beautiful, peaceful & heart wrenching place. And when you are there, stop & read a few of the thousands of names... God Bless my family & friends. I'm thankful everyday that we're still here. And Lord, watch over the children of the fathers & mothers who fell, & may you guide them through the painful times when they need their guardian to turn to. May we always remember those who were taken from their homes out of hate. Rest In Peace now, away from the evil which robbed your children of their parents.
