Important Thing!

After Cordelia being a side blog for almost a year, I’ve decided to make her a new blog! It’s so much easier for an RP blog to be a main blog, so that’s the direction I decided to go in. The URL is still headmistressupreme, everything is the same and I’ll be continuing all my threads. Below I’ve tagged the people I’ve been writing with lately, but this is for everyone who I write with/who follows me. I hope to see you over on the new headmistresssupreme! (It won’t let me tag it)

Glancing swiftly up to find Delia properly preoccupied, Fiona rifled through her bag until she located what she sought. A half-empty prescription pill bottle; pain medication leftover from a minor back injury ages ago. She’d taken two on the plane… and now she shook three into her palm with very little hesitation, and washed them down with a swig of tonic water. “You’re welcome,” she said absently, capping the bottle and tossing it back into her bag, “I wasn’t sure if the scarf was the right color, so… I’m glad you like it anyway.” That was genuine; she was glad—this was something they shared, a love of the finer things. “Go on, open the Chanel. I think you’ll be pleased.”

“No, it is; thank you,” Cordelia said again, reaching for the large Chanel box on the table. She heard the familiar rattle of a pill bottle from her mother’s direction but decided not to ask - she’d had a long flight, apparently, and she must’ve been a little worse for wear. Or at least that’s what Cordelia told herself to keep from worrying.

Her nimble fingers worked at the bow atop the white box and she pulled it off, lifting the top to reveal a few neatly wrapped bundles of tissue paper. Lifting one out, she pulled away the stark white paper to reveal a two bottles of nail polish, one a pinkish nude and the other a dark berry red. A second perfectly wrapped bundle held a pair of beige framed sunglasses, the third her favorite perfume and the fourth and largest a small, black quilted bag, the classic Chanel. She held the bag for a moment, eyeing the flawless stitching and the way the logo glinted in the light from the lamp beside the couch, then let it dangle by the gold chain handles before setting it back in the box and turning her attention back to her mother. 

“Thank you, mama,” she said again, a soft smile on her lips as she looked adoringly at the woman who’d given her everything. “I want to see what you got yourself, too.”

Cruella x Cordelia (Cont.)

Cruella kissed the top of the blonde’s head and shook her head. “I won’t.. At least that’s my thought of the moment. If I do leave… I’ll be back in a few hours. I can’t do too much once it starts getting bright.” She said softly, her voice above a whisper.

“I’ll try to fall asleep fast, then, so you’ll have time if you do decide to leave,” Cordelia hummed, already feeling the weight of the day in the way her eyelids had begun to droop. She laid like that for a while, silent and tucked against her lover. “I always fall asleep so well when I’m with you,” she mused after a long, comfortable silence, her voice soft and groggy. “I think it’s because I feel so safe, like nothing bad could ever happen in your arms.” At that the witch smiled softly, her eyes still shut as she brought Cruella’s hand to her lips and kissed it.

“I love you too, Delia,” Bella purred tenderly, sitting up as the lake came into view. She was delighted to find the shore vacant, and shrugged out of her seatbelt before Cordelia had even parked to place a chaste kiss on her cheek. “Not a soul in sight…” A sly grin bled over the dancer’s features as she passed a hand meaningfully over the other woman’s thigh.

“Mmh, I like the thought of that,” Cordelia purred, her eyes drawn momentarily to where Bella’s hand gently caressed her thigh. “But then, I like the thought of anything so long as it’s with you.” With a soft smile in her girlfriend’s direction, Cordelia reached to turn up the radio, turning her attention back to Bella. “Whatever shall we do first?” she asked, her eyes gleaming.

10: Neck Kiss

   He never got too close. As much as he longed to be a good person and to love people, he could never allow himself to dive fully into that. Maybe it was because he was afraid of himself the other guy, or maybe it wasn’t. Whatever rules he made had slowly been dissolved with the presence of Cordelia Goode. Closer and closer he inched toward her, every day learning something new until they’d reached the place they were in now. He didn’t know where it was, he’d never been there before. He’d had relationships and lovers but nothing had ever been - like this. 

    As he stood behind her in his laboratory, he watched the way she worked proficiently at the screen. Her small hands when compared to his which normally worked next to her made him smile. She was so much more delicate than anything he’d ever allowed to be placed into his hands, the weapons of mass destruction that they were. Yet, with the gentleness of a breeze he reached out, swiping blonde hair away from one side of her neck and letting it fall over the other. Tentatively, he bent low enough to reach her. Breathing in her smell just before his lips pressed so lightly to where her heart thumped under the expanse of porcelain flesh.

She was always beautiful, yet it seemed to be even more so when she looked at him like that. It made his chest feel funny, and not in the dangerous way that he was used to. ❝I’m sure that, between the two of us, flattery is your forte.❞

He nodded, a lazy grin painting his features, ❝Okay.❞ Pressing another quick kiss to her lips and then her cheek as she pulled her bag onto her shoulder, he patted her arm. ❝I’ll be seeing you soon, darling.❞ Bruce insisted, he himself collecting his belongings to step up to his room in the Avengers tower.

❝I can’t wait,❞ Cordelia murmured, turning on a heel to go and gather up her things. Just before she reached the door, the blonde turned again and strode quickly back to Bruce, spinning him by the shoulder and pulling him into one final kiss. She pulled away with a soft exhale, trying to suppress a grin as she strode back out the door. 

The smile broke the second she left the office and she beamed all the way home - standing on the sidewalk waiting for the taxi, riding the few blocks to her apartment and finally unlocking the door and stepping inside, only to collapse against the wood to collect herself for a moment. With another breath and a smile still on her lips, Cordelia finally managed to make her way to her bedroom to start the getting ready process.

A little over an hour later she was ready, her hair coiffed in loose waves and her makeup as perfect as it would ever be. Her heels clicked against the hardwood floor of her apartment as she made the finishing touches to her outfit, smoothing her dark blue dress and centering her pendant necklace as she grabbed her little nude cross body off the bed. With a final look in the mirror, she clicked her way to the living room and sat down on the couch, waiting patiently for her buzzer to ring.

  The last serum someone filled his veins full of turned him GREEN. Truth be told, he didn’t know that he as really up for a second go round if whatever she was conjuring ended badly. But what if it didn’t? What if it worked? Must everything always be a game of chance? She was a brilliant woman, that much he knew. Still, when you’d been running for so long, trust wasn’t exactly second nature. He was sure she wasn’t out to get him, and his thanks for her attempt to help was far more than she would ever fully realize, but he was still unsure. 

  ❝A serum? What kind, what’s it made of? Or what will it be made of? Forgive me if I’m asking too many questions all at once.❞ She was trying because she pitied him. He’d never wanted to be pitied. Of course it was bad to be what he was. Far easier now than it used to be, but did you ever really get used to the potential of becoming a RAGE-FUELED monster? She knew what she’d read. 

❝Thank you, but — Dr. Goode, I can’t — ask you to be apart of something dangerous like this.❞ And it was dangerous. But if she protested and insisted, could he really afford not to see her through?

❝No, no, I’d expect at least that much. This isn’t - it’s no small thing; it’s your life and I understand that - I really do, the best that I can. I’m sure you’re - cautious - and for good reason, but - I want to help. A second set of eyes can’t hurt, can it?❞ 

Cordelia had guessed that she wouldn’t gain any footing without a fight, but it was a fight she was ready and willing to have. Bruce was so kind, so sweet even in just the few passing moments they’d shared - she’d fight just about anything if it meant a chance to unburden him.

   His hands slid away from her body, capturing her fingers in the most gentle of holds. He admired them for a moment, as strange as it may have seemed. They had so much skill, yet they were so small and soft; feminine and beautiful. Perhaps, his most admired trait they held was their ability to make him feel — not like a monster. The doctor brushed her knuckles against his cheek softly, before pulling them to his lips. 

  ❝Get ready? What’re you gonna do? You already look beautiful.❞ He said it with a perplexed expression of adoration on his visage, letting his eyes scan her appearance for maybe the 55th time that day alone. Of course he knew she would want to change, and that he would never win the war that came with calling her such a name but it was so true. In her ponytail and lab coat, and those glasses that he loved so much, she was the most beautiful. He couldn’t even imagine a greater sight. 

  ❝I’ll miss you very much, but I suppose I could deal with a few hours off for - getting ready. ❞ Bruce chuckled, taking her face in his hands and pulling her in for a single, promising kiss. He brushed her skin lightly, the faint smile on his lips staying even after he’d dropped his hands away.

Cordelia’s dark eyes were drawn to their hands as Bruce intertwined them, a soft smile on her lips as Bruce kissed the top of her hand. It was the little moments like that, barely seconds long and so, so simple - those were the ones she loved most. 

❝You flatter me,❞ she hummed, flushing under his adoring gaze. Nobody in her thirty six years had ever looked at her like that - it still struck her every time his dark eyes fell upon her. Before she could reply, his large hands were cupping her cheeks and he kissed her, his lips soft and slow against hers. When they did pull back, Cordelia was breathless, a little sigh falling past her still open lips. ❝I’ll miss you, too,❞ she sighed, burying her face into his chest once more. ❝I’ll be quick, I shouldn’t need more than an hour and a half. Okay?❞

Cruella x Cordelia (Cont.)

Cruella smiled lightly before she moved her hand away once that long moment passed. She hated trying to sleep and lay in bed during the night with Cordelia. This was the only time Cruella could do anything. When it was daytime, she had all that time to sleep. Now, her whole time was screwed up and even during the daytime the other one of the two neutral tones couldn’t go anywhere. She stayed up in the room, hungry for blood and highly annoyed that she was awake and couldn’t do anything. She laid on the bed next to Cordelia, her small smile still on her face. “Now go to sleep. You have lots to do in the morning I’m sure.”

Cordelia curled up beside Cruella once more, reveling in how perfect it felt to sleep beside the older woman despite the fact that she was the only one sleeping. “You can go out, if you want,” she offered, her voice tired but still genuine. “Just - wait until I fall asleep? I like it falling asleep with you here. But after that you should go. I don’t mind.”

Dropping her head over the back of the chair, the Supreme huffed out a heavy sigh and pinched two fingers at the bridge of her nose before gently massaging aching temples. “My bags are by the stairs, have at it. Your things should be in the larger one. There are two boxes from Chanel and one from Hermes.” And you’re welcome, Fiona thought but didn’t say aloud. Cordelia would either thank her or not, and Cordelia would either like her gifts or not, and at the end of the day none of it really mattered. “—And bring me my purse, while you’re up.”

Cordelia resisted the urge to huff sassily at her mother, and instead polished off what little was left in her glass, taking it with her as she stood from the couch. After a pit stop in the kitchen to put the dirty glass in the sink - the maid would take care of that tomorrow - she made a beeline for the stairs where, as Fiona had said, there was a collection of luggage and shopping bags just waiting for her. She pulled out the Chanel and Hermes bags, starting back to the living room but doubling back when she realized she’d forgotten her mother’s purse. After situating that in the crook of her elbow she returned to the living room, dropping the bags on the coffee table before bringing Fiona her purse. She wrapped her mother in half a hug and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek, offering a thank you before she strolled back to the couch to see what she’d been brought. 

Opening the Hermes first, she found a small cream crossbody and their signature scarf, a replacement for the one that had floated off the balcony of Cordelia’s own apartment after having been removed by a date. “Thanks, mama,” she murmured, glancing up in the older woman’s direction for a minute before turning her attention to the Chanel bags. “And whatever could be in here?” she asked, having no idea.

❝Do you?❞ He smirked, watching her features turn the fairest shade of pink as she looked down. ❝You think too much of me.❞ He sighed, yet never discontent with her way, their way. Both could probably say that the other treated them much better than they would think they ever deserved. It was easy being near to her, in a way that no other person had made him feel in many years. 

Checking his watch for the date and the time, Bruce quickly returned his palm to her hip. ❝Hmm, let’s see…do you — have any plans tonight, perhaps?❞ He raised an expecting eyebrow, ignoring the way his chest fluttered with anticipation.

❝I don’t think so at all,❞ Cordelia replied, her voice honey sweet as she gave him a light squeeze with her arms. ❝I believe my adoration is perfectly proportional.❞ With a smirk, the shorter of the two leaned up on her tiptoes to press a kiss to Bruce’s cheek, her cheeks still flushed a happy pink. 

❝Tonight?❞ the scientist repeated, undeniable anticipation in her voice. ❝I’d - I’d have to go home and get ready, but...yeah, I’m free.❞

“…Rough flight.” Glass in hand, she leaned against the bar and stretched her back, stiff and sore from hours on the plane. “I went to Paris to do some shopping. I’m redoing the apartment, I thought I told you that—the Paris apartment, not this one. Anyway… I could swear I told you, but maybe it slipped my mind.” Truthfully, Fiona knew she had not told her daughter about that little excursion… she hadn’t wanted any company. “I picked up a few things for you,” she said with a sigh, moving to sink into the plush white chair beside the sofa. “If you don’t like them, I’ll send them back.”

“Ooh, presents,” Cordelia hummed with a chuckle, sipping her wine again and settling against the back of the couch and watching as her mother stayed stationary against the bar. “Are you going to bring them to me or do I have to go on a scavenger hunt?” she asked in a slightly biting tone.

“Yeah, I know you can’t,” Cordelia retorted sweetly, smiling to herself as she slowed at a bend in the road. “Imagine what it would be like to live out here. No neighbors, no nothing, just a little cabin on the water…” she trailed off, thought the ideas seemed nothing short of bliss the more she thought about it.

Bella let one eye slip open to focus on her lover’s face, happy and distracted. She adored moments like that, observing the blonde in those introspective flights of thought which seemed so intimate and precious that they felt altogether sacred. “And your own little garden; window-boxes full of violets…” she murmured as she reached out to brush her fingertips over the cream and honey flesh of Cordelia’s arm.

"A whole garden full of violets so I can bring you a bouquet every day," Cordelia mused, turning onto the unpaved path that lead to the lakeside. Her skin broke out in goosebumps when Bella's fingertips traced her arm and she shuddered, a soft smile on her lips. "I love you, B," the older blonde murmured.

HOLY SHIT BATMAN IT’S BEEN A YEAR.

It’s been a year since I made this idiot blog, and I’ve had the time of my life. Last year was the worst year of my life, it’s not a secret. My parents split up and put me so deep into the middle, my girlfriend died suddenly, I had to move, etc etc etc. Without this blog, I would have gone mad. This blog, my interactions, and all you guys kept me sane, and extremely happy. This blog gave me a reason to get out of bed – and it still does.

I’ve made so many new friends, written so many fantastic threads, and gotten the chance to thread with so many amazing partners. I love every single one of you guys. Thank you so much for putting up with mine and Mal’s shit. Here’s to another year of writing this fucking idiotic, queer faerie!

Cordelia couldn’t help the girlish smile that crossed her lips when Bruce finally, finally asked her on a date. Wrapping her lithe arms around his neck she hugged him tight, burying her face in his chest for a long, still moment. ❝I thought you’d never ask,❞ she murmured against his sweater, pulling back so her eyes could find his. 

 They had been going on for nearly a month if not longer, whatever they were. It started with touches here and there, a hand on his arm or the small of her back. They’d play with each other’s hair now and again, brush unintentionally against each other as they were working side by side and even, when they’d made an especially important breakthrough, excitedly embrace each other, always holding on a little longer than they probably should have. Cordelia had enjoyed their friendship, but the second his lips had brushed hers for the first time it was like her whole being craved more. He was so kind, so soft and affectionate with her. No man had ever treated her with half the reverence Bruce did, and for her part Cordelia absolutely adored him.

Since their first kiss, neither shied away from affection or their feelings for the other, but Cordelia remained in slight disbelief that he’d actually asked her on a real date. A date where she’d get to dress up, do something special to her hair and wear a little extra makeup without fear of criticism from her male dominated work place. She’d wear heels and her favorite lipstick and gaze unabashedly at this wonderful man she’d found herself entangled with.

   He smiled down as she wrapped him up in her arms. They embraced often, though he imagined she had no idea how it made his chest feel. The very first time she touched him had sent sparks up his spine, though had he not seen the glint in her eyes he probably wouldn’t have thought much about it. After that he made it his business to make her coffee in the mornings and to walk her home at night.

   Mostly, he just enjoyed having someone to be kind to. She certainly didn’t need everything he done for her, she was strong beneath the quiet feminine sheath she wore and he among many others were well aware. Physical affection had never been his strong suit. Much of that was taken from him as a child and then even more so once the gamma accident happened. Even so, he found it easy to be near to her. Though he was never careless, and he watched out for her well being. If he even so much as thought his nerves were off kilter he’d stay far away from her or anyone else for that matter and she understood. 

   Her slender fingers curled into the fabric of his sweater, pulling the corners of his mouth up more as he gazed down at her. 

❝Well, I decided to make your cute but foolish infatuation with an old man with a temper worth while.❞ He chuckled, proud of his softly snide remark. ❝And they tell me I need to get out more, so I thought, hey. .❞Another chuckle as his arms held her waist firmly, marveling at the way she fit so easily in them.

❝Oh, I hardly think it’s foolish that I just so happen to adore a very youthful, attractive, sweet man,❞ Cordelia replied, her voice a low coo. ❝But it’s been worth while the whole time.❞ She smiled, cheeks flushed a soft pink as she averted her gaze for a moment.

It was absolutely true, it had been worth while the whole time. Bruce was so good to her she could sometimes barely believe it. He greeted her every morning with an embrace, a kiss and a cup of coffee, just the way she liked it. It was such a simple thing, the way he’d slip one arm around her, pull her in and press his lips to her temple, but she was sure that if ever she had to go a morning without it it would ruin her day. He walked her home, too, after every day after work, or at least saw to it that she got safely into a cab. Cordelia couldn’t remember anybody caring for her the way he did, treating her with such a tender reverence. Even the way he kissed her was different than the way anybody else ever had.

She liked it more than she’d ever planned she would.

“Oh, no, Cruella, please,” Cordelia begged as she stood from the bed and disappeared out the door. The witch’s dark eyes began to water and she whimpered with the effort of keeping them back, but that soon became too much and she curled around Cruella’s pillow again, sobbing. She stayed like that until she heard the door creak open again and her lover slipped into the room, taking her place alone in the chair again. Cordelia sniffled, wiping her eyes and looking up from the pillow.

“I’m sorry,” she whimpered, her voice strained and soft as she fought not to cry again. “I didn’t mean it, I just - I was hurt, too.”

Cruella took a sip of her tea and looked over to the blonde. She tilted her head lightly, her eyes looking sad and she let out a breath. “Darling…” She got up and walked over to the edge of the bed next to Cordelia, running a hand through her hair. “I’m sorry I hurt you… I didn’t mean to hurt you. That was never my intention.”

"I know," Cordelia sniffled, reaching up and taking Cruella's hand after it had run through her blonde locks. "I didn't mean to hurt you, either. I know that you love me. I love you, too." She brought the older woman's hand to her lips and pressed a kiss to the back of it, holding it tightly for a long moment.

“Most things,” Bella agreed, gazing up at the sky through heavily-lidded eyes. “Some things can’t get any more beautiful though.” The brunette wrinkled her nose at her own sappy comment, but an underlying sincerity permeated her demeanor. Squirming further down against the door, she let her head tilt back enough to rest against the sill of the window, rolled down as it nearly always was, exposing the fine line of her slender throat as her curls whipped about in the wind and her lids fluttered shut.

“Yeah, I know you can’t,” Cordelia retorted sweetly, smiling to herself as she slowed at a bend in the road. “Imagine what it would be like to live out here. No neighbors, no nothing, just a little cabin on the water...” she trailed off, thought the ideas seemed nothing short of bliss the more she thought about it.
