             perhaps care was too heavy a word for her to use    -     jason was a missing puzzle piece intertwined into a bigger story with too many villains and no real heroes,   and his death was as important as barb’s to solving the mystery     ;      he cared only as much as he did about the safety of the town.     ‘   that doesn’t mean your family deserves to suffer.     ‘

                “ Doesn’t  it? ”  Her  eyes  are  like  daggers,  but  her  voice  tone  is  soft.  Curious,  even.  How  wouldn’t  that  be  punishment  for  everything  her  family  has  ever  done?  It  had  to  be--  why  else  would  Jason,  popular  and  incredibly  well  liked  by  everyone  in  this  town  Jason  Blossom,  just  disappear?  “ Have  you  seen  him  or  anything,  discount  Michael Myers?  What  do  you  know? ”  Not.  Helpful.  She  shakes  her  head, eyelashes  blinking  quickly   as  she  reaches  over  to  grab  a  tight  hold  onto  Jonathan’s  arm.  Make  everyone  around  believe  she’s  threatening  him.   “ Forget---  I  didn’t---  You  know  what  I  meant. ”  And  that’s  as  close  to  an  apology  as  anyone  can  get  from  her  in  public.
