General information:

Raphael is the archangel of medicine and healing

He is blind but not in the traditional sense. He cannot see in the present, but he can see the past.

#bloominglotus is the tag used for answers, feel free to block the tag Incase it floods Ultrakill tags.

Brother of the other Archangels, he especially frets over and worries over Gabriel

The blood the three faces on his helm bleeds is not his own blood but his tears. Which have healing properties.

His speech is represented by pink text.

Couldn’t believe it.

Minato had said that he was…. pregnant….. but it wasn’t possible. It physically wasn’t possible. He couldn’t be having a child–

So here he was. Having snuck into Heaven, knocking on the doors of the healing sanctum– waiting to see Seraph’s brother, Raphael.

At least he had his armor and knives back now. Small mercies.

The archangel with delicate butterfly like wings looks at Ori, sensing his light since he didn't recognize him...

"...Oricael?"

He seems as kind as always, just ...

Surprised. Full name, huh ...

"you've returned--- are you alright?"

Ori was shifting uncomfortably on the doorstep of the healing sanctum, picking at his knives as he tapped his feet, wings flicking out with his anxiety.

“I– Raphael– I–“

He stammered, tripping over his words but not getting anything coherent out. He wasn’t sure how to phrase it– wasn’t sure how he could say that he was worried without saying why exactly he was worried in the first place.

He felt like he might throw up on Raphael’s shoes, heart beating so loudly it felt as though the angel must be able to hear it.

“I need… assistance.”

Raphael immediately takes Ori's hand, his other hand supporting his back.

"then come, Oricael.... I'll examine you."

He helps Ori into an examination room, laying him down in bed. Raphael's palms gently glow with a pink, radiant light; his healing power.

"you do seem unwell.... is there a specific area that is causing you issue? I can look into it."

Ori didn’t relax down onto the bed, tense when Raphael’s hands were on him, and tense on the exam bed. His tail came up to tuck over him, wings curling around him protectively as he began unconsciously growling, backing away from Raphael slightly.

“Nothing… specific…”

He knew Raphael was going to help him. He knew that. But something in his brain was screaming at him to get away, protect… himself… He wasn’t sure where the instinct was coming from, but his hand drifted down towards one of his knives.

He had asked Raphael to help– yet here he was, acting out.

Raphael looks over Ori carefully, pausing to take off the three-faced helmet. In hopes his true face will give ori a little comfort.

"please, friend, relax. My brother will have my head if I hurt you."

He looks back down to Ori's body then to his face.

"perhaps symptoms will be a good place to start, are you feeling nauseous? You did seem a bit out of it ..."

Ori relaxed, but only slightly at being able to see Raphael's face, still curled away from him, tail beginning to lash uncomfortably. He... just... wasn't comfortable. Seraph had told him to seek Raphael out, yet he was terrified, anxious and backed into a corner even without Raphael touching him yet.

"I am trying to relax."

He wasn't doing a very good job of it, then, but he was trying, forcing his body to stop tensing, even as the wings around his head flicked out in agitation.

"Nausea is... normal. If I overthink, I get anxious, I get nauseous. That is just... usual."

Nothing to worry about at all– Ori was used to swallowing down nausea from anxiety, even as far back as when he was an angel.

"I see ... But I'll give your stomach a check. Incase your apathy to nausea is letting something else slip by."

Raphael touches his glowing hands to Ori's stomach. His light gently spreading outward from there. No pain, just ... Warm.

... Though once the light reaches Ori's lower abdomen, Raphael's eyes widen as he senses something.

His hands move to that spot, focusing there ... Getting a reading ...

"... Oh my! Oricael, you're pregnant, congratulations!"

... oh god it's real.

Ori could vomit. He was entirely still on the exam bed, even his wings, looking at Raphael but not really… seeing him.

His ears were ringing. It wasn’t–

It isn’t possible–

He couldn’t breathe.

“It– angels cannot–“

He sounded as sick as he felt. Minato couldn’t be right, Raphael must be… imaging things… it wasn’t possible.

It wasn’t possible.

"quite opposite actually. Angels can reproduce just fine. Haven't you seen my brother? He has two healthy children."

Raphael explained, he doesn't blame Ori for not knowing angels could... He assumes maybe the council said some bullshit. They're good at that.

"speaking of, your little one is developing well. A healthy baby boy it seems."

He said while continuing to probe with his powers,

"it seems you've been pregnant for some time already. He's well developed."

Ori wasn’t processing anything that Raphael was saying. He felt like he would truly be sick off the side of the bed, the only reason he hadn’t passed out entirely being that he was laying down on the exam bed. He shook his head, mumbling.

“No… no no no no that is not…. He can, I…… it is a different universe, we cannot…. I…. no, this is not–“

His voice became more and more panicked as he spoke, trying to shift away from Raphael’s hands, wings wrapping over him once more as his tail tucked tightly around his abdomen. It wasn’t possible. He couldn’t breathe– It wasn’t–

"... would you like to see the child?"

Raphael asks softly, he can use his abilities and show a light projection of someone's internals. He could manifest a projection of the child.

Maybe that can calm Ori?

He's not sure, Raphael gently drapes a blanket over the fallen angel. Trying to soothe him.

Ori looked up at Raphael not unlike a deer in headlights, looking caught and terrified. He pulled the blanket around himself further, trying to protect himself–

Protect the child–

He was going to be sick. He was actually going to be sick, tucking his head into his knees as he tried to breathe through how nauseous he was. He couldn't be a father– he couldn't, he would just hurt the baby, he wasn't made for this like Seraph and Azrael were, he wouldn't be able to do this–

"He won't survive– I– he won't– he will die– I cannot– I–"

He was mumbling more to himself than Raphael, terrified as his brain spun in anxious circles, unable to break himself out of his spiral. He couldn't do this, he couldn't have a child.

Raphael grabs Ori by the shoulders.

"Oricael. Oricael, look at me."

He does his best to soothe, gently extending his power again. Hoping the warmth his light gives will also help.

It's like a warm hug, but less physical touch.

"Your son is healthy, he's in great shape actually. He's perfectly fine and will be born perfectly fine."

Ori snarled at Raphael, but didn't pull away– snapping at him even though he was leaning into his touch, desperate yet terrified.

"You do not understand– He will die anyways, I am not– I cannot be a father, I cannot–"

He was not suited to be a father– Raphael didn't know him, didn't know how he was, how overprotective yet dangerous to be around– He didn't know that he would just hurt the child– He didn't know that Ori couldn't do this.

He was... probably having a panic attack. The way he couldn't breathe was indicative of that. But this wasn't something that he could calm down from easily– If he felt himself calming down, he would just remember that there was a child–

in him–

And the cycle would continue. He felt inconsolable and so, so scared he didn't know what to do with it.

Raphael didn't really hesitate, nor brace himself. He just.

... Hugs Ori. Offering a squeeze.

He's heaven's strongest healer, yet weakest physically. even weaker than a virtue. His body gives out so easily. Constantly in pain all over from taking pain away from others.

He's taken even the most chronic pain from some to take on himself. To relieve them.

And now, he's willing to take a dangerous snap to the neck or shoulder.

To make Ori feel safer, if he must.

Ori tensed when Raphael hugged him, growling lowly and not hugging back, but he didn't... bite. Didn't move to hurt Raphael, no matter how unsafe he felt, no matter how much his brain was yelling about how dangerous this was, how unsafe it was for someone he didn't know to be so close to the baby–

He breathed out on a quiet, nervous whimper, starting to tremble slightly. He was still breathing too fast to be healthy, even for a being that didn't need air to survive, but it wasn't... aggression and mumbling and growling, anymore. Just scared trembling as he slowly, carefully, leaned into Raphael's hug.

"I cannot do this."

"Oricael, it's going to be okay. It will be okay. Please, take a few breaths... Your son's father ... I'm sure he'll help, yes?"

Raphael doesn't know Minato and Bug, but... He figures Ori must have someone, right?

"you aren't alone during this, you're never alone."

Ori was barely thinking about Minato and Bug– they were already operating on the idea that he was pregnant without Raphael's confirmation, and they had been doting on him, no matter how hard he tried to push them away. But Raphael didn't need to know about the... chaos that had been the past month.

"My– my partners– they already– they know, I just–"

Didn't believe them. Didn't want to believe them, he supposed. Hence the second opinion. He was still terrified, but he was trying to breathe more evenly, trying not to hyperventilate– it only made him feel sicker. He felt weak, sick, slightly pulling away from Raphael to lay down on the bed once more, wrapping his wings over him and his tail over his stomach. Like he had been sleeping, unconsciously, since...

Before the fall of Lust.

"...How... far along am.....I..."

The words were like pulling teeth.

"you're due in about a month. I recommend visiting me once a week at the very least to help monitor his progress."

Angel children don't take as long as human children to develop. Beings of light or hell energy ... Condense and form quickly.

Luckily, Raphael has seen and helped deliver angel children. He knows what to do and how to help.

"it's going to be okay, Ori. I understand how scary this can be. But I'll be here whenever you need me, I can promise that."

He felt even more anxious, curling into a tighter ball on the bed in terror. How was he supposed to get ready to have a child in a month???

He was terrified.

He didn’t want to visit Raphael every week, brain slowly switching to just wanting his nest, but it was… probably for the best. Have an actual doctor look at him and make sure that… the baby… was doing well.

He was still shaking, but glanced up at Raphael as he tucked his arms around his stomach as well.

“…Can… I… can I see him?”

The words were rushed yet stumbled, quiet at the end as well.

Gently, a projection of pink light manifests in front of Ori. A small baby curled up so securely. A creature so strange yet so small... Something fragile and precious.

“Are they always that… small…?”

Ori didn’t look pregnant. He must be tiny, considering Ori just looked… bloated at most. That was…. he was…..

His brain just felt as though it wasn’t comprehending what was in front of him, yet was somehow perfectly clear.

That was his baby.

He was really going to… have a baby.

“He’s tiny.”

"haha.... Yes, our little ones tend to be born quite small; simple little beings of light that grow with time."

The light projection moves a little,

Such a small, little... Fragile thing.

"your child is a demon of some kind, there's a strong core within him ... One of hell energy extremely potent."

How was Ori supposed to take care of something so... tiny? He was so fragile.... so small..... Ori would hurt him by accident, there was no way he would truly be that small in a month–

"And he will be... that small... in a month?"

He didn't quite understand how a machine and a fallen angel could have demon offspring, either, but he supposed that didn't matter as much. He squinted at the little light projection, noting the baby's little wings.

"So that was what I was feeling..."

"perhaps a little bigger, but generally he will be born that small. It is completely natural, beings of light are much more hardy than one may think, thankfully. He is not as fragile as he seems. Especially with that hell energy..."

Raphael muses aloud to himself a bit, hell energy that potent.... Could only come from hell itself. Hell had to have made that core. But how was hell involved with this child's conception? It definitely wasn't the other father. Maybe it did something to the other parent...

Well, adorable for everyone but Ori, who could feel that.

He jumped, a hand flying up like he couldn’t decide what to do with it when the baby kicked. That was… the strongest movement yet, he had only felt little… flutters… He forced his hand to stay by his side, not moving it to his stomach like he almost instinctively did.

“It is… incredibly strange. That feeling.”

"indeed... But it'll be okay, just endure those bunny kicks for a month. Then he'll be kicking you externally."

Raphael said, laughing a little in attempt to ease Ori. He... Didn't know why there was hell energy present in the child either. So he changed the subject.

"... Do you have any ideas for names already?"

Ori hadn't felt anything other than the little movements, so the kick was slightly jarring. He hoped the baby would be calm, and continue to not move very much– he wasn't sure how he would handle it if the baby was kicking and squirming for the next month.

He noticed the way that Raphael... avoided the question about the hell energy. Ori... didn't really know what to do with that. It didn't make sense to him in the slightest, but it didn't really matter. It wouldn't satiate his curiosity, but it didn't matter overall.

"I am... not sure. I will have to discuss with my partners..."

He ran a hand down the front of his mask with a small laugh. Telling Bug and Minato would definitely be... something.

"They will be insufferable when they find out they were... correct..."

The doctor part of Raphael coming out, worry seeping from his voice, yet still with some professionalism.

He pats Ori on the back,

"I would have your partners do most of the work for you. You need to use this time to rest and let the baby develop. You're in the home stretch."

He stammered, tripping over his words but not getting anything coherent out. He wasn’t sure how to phrase it– wasn’t sure how he could say that he was worried without saying why exactly he was worried in the first place.

He felt like he might throw up on Raphael’s shoes, heart beating so loudly it felt as though the angel must be able to hear it.

“I need… assistance.”

"then come, Oricael.... I'll examine you."

He helps Ori into an examination room, laying him down in bed. Raphael's palms gently glow with a pink, radiant light; his healing power.

He knew Raphael was going to help him. He knew that. But something in his brain was screaming at him to get away, protect… himself… He wasn’t sure where the instinct was coming from, but his hand drifted down towards one of his knives.

He had asked Raphael to help– yet here he was, acting out.

"I am trying to relax."

He wasn't doing a very good job of it, then, but he was trying, forcing his body to stop tensing, even as the wings around his head flicked out in agitation.

"Nausea is... normal. If I overthink, I get anxious, I get nauseous. That is just... usual."

Nothing to worry about at all– Ori was used to swallowing down nausea from anxiety, even as far back as when he was an angel.

He wasn't doing a very good job of it, then, but he was trying, forcing his body to stop tensing, even as the wings around his head flicked out in agitation.

"Nausea is... normal. If I overthink, I get anxious, I get nauseous. That is just... usual."

Nothing to worry about at all– Ori was used to swallowing down nausea from anxiety, even as far back as when he was an angel.

He was still breathing too fast to be healthy, even for a being that didn't need air to survive, but it wasn't... aggression and mumbling and growling, anymore. “I– Raphael– I–“

He stammered, tripping over his words but not getting anything coherent out. He wasn’t sure how to phrase it– wasn’t sure how he could say that he was worried without saying why exactly he was worried in the first place.

He felt like he might throw up on Raphael’s shoes, heart beating so loudly it felt as though the angel must be able to hear it.

“I need… assistance.”

Raphael immediately takes Ori's hand, his other hand supporting his back.

"then come, Oricael.... I'll examine you."

He helps Ori into an examination room, laying him down in bed. Raphael's palms gently glow with a pink, radiant light; his healing power.

Ori didn’t relax down onto the bed, tense when Raphael’s hands were on him, and tense on the exam bed. His tail came up to tuck over him, wings curling around him protectively as he began unconsciously growling, backing away from Raphael slightly.

He knew Raphael was going to help him. He knew that. But something in his brain was screaming at him to get away, protect… himself… He wasn’t sure where the instinct was coming from, but his hand drifted down towards one of his knives.

He had asked Raphael to help– yet here he was, acting out.

Raphael looks over Ori carefully, pausing to take off the three-faced helmet. In hopes his true face will give ori a little comfort.

"please, friend, relax. My brother will have my head if I hurt you."

Seraph had told him to seek Raphael out, yet he was terrified, anxious and backed into a corner even without Raphael touching him yet.

"I am trying to relax."

He wasn't doing a very good job of it, then, but he was trying, forcing his body to stop tensing, even as the wings around his head flicked out in agitation.

"Nausea is... normal. If I overthink, I get anxious, I get nauseous. That is just... usual."

Nothing to worry about at all– Ori was used to swallowing down nausea from anxiety, even as far back as when he was an angel.

His hands move to that spot, focusing there ... Getting a reading ...

"... Oh my! Oricael, you're pregnant, congratulations!"

His voice became more and more panicked as he spoke, trying to shift away from Raphael’s hands, wings wrapping over him once more as his tail tucked tightly around his abdomen. It wasn’t possible. He couldn’t breathe– It wasn’t–

Ori was shifting uncomfortably on the doorstep of the healing sanctum, picking at his knives as he tapped his feet, wings flicking out with his anxiety.

“I– Raphael– I–“

He stammered, tripping over his words but not getting anything coherent out. He wasn’t sure how to phrase it– wasn’t sure how he could say that he was worried without saying why exactly he was worried in the first place.

He felt like he might throw up on Raphael’s shoes, heart beating so loudly it felt as though the angel must be able to hear it.

“I need… assistance.”

Raphael immediately takes Ori's hand, his other hand supporting his back.

"then come, Oricael.... I'll examine you."

He helps Ori into an examination room, laying him down in bed. Raphael's palms gently glow with a pink, radiant light; his healing power.

"you do seem unwell.... is there a specific area that is causing you issue? I can look into it."

Ori didn’t relax down onto the bed, tense when Raphael’s hands were on him, and tense on the exam bed. His tail came up to tuck over him, wings curling around him protectively as he began unconsciously growling, backing away from Raphael slightly.

“Nothing… specific…”

He knew Raphael was going to help him. He knew that. But something in his brain was screaming at him to get away, protect… himself… He wasn’t sure where the instinct was coming from, but his hand drifted down towards one of his knives.

He had asked Raphael to help– yet here he was, acting out.

Raphael looks over Ori carefully, pausing to take off the three-faced helmet. In hopes his true face will give ori a little comfort.

"please, friend, relax. My brother will have my head if I hurt you."

He looks back down to Ori's body then to his face.

"perhaps symptoms will be a good place to start, are you feeling nauseous? You did seem a bit out of it ..."

Ori relaxed, but only slightly at being able to see Raphael's face, still curled away from him, tail beginning to lash uncomfortably. He... just... wasn't comfortable. Seraph had told him to seek Raphael out, yet he was terrified, anxious and backed into a corner even without Raphael touching him yet.

"I am trying to relax."

He wasn't doing a very good job of it, then, but he was trying, forcing his body to stop tensing, even as the wings around his head flicked out in agitation.

"Nausea is... normal. If I overthink, I get anxious, I get nauseous. That is just... usual."

Nothing to worry about at all– Ori was used to swallowing down nausea from anxiety, even as far back as when he was an angel.

"I see ... But I'll give your stomach a check. Incase your apathy to nausea is letting something else slip by."

Raphael touches his glowing hands to Ori's stomach. His light gently spreading outward from there. No pain, just ... Warm.

... Though once the light reaches Ori's lower abdomen, Raphael's eyes widen as he senses something.

His hands move to that spot, focusing there ... Getting a reading ...

"... Oh my! Oricael, you're pregnant, congratulations!"

... oh god it's real.

Ori… didn’t believe it.

Couldn’t believe it.

Minato had said that he was…. pregnant….. but it wasn’t possible. It physically wasn’t possible. He couldn’t be having a child–

So here he was. Having snuck into Heaven, knocking on the doors of the healing sanctum– waiting to see Seraph’s brother, Raphael.

At least he had his armor and knives back now. Small mercies.

He seems as kind as always, just ...

The shadows outside your office door begin to move strangely, you can sense a presence on the other side, something was wrong, it seemed… injured..? But how could a shadow be injured?

Raphael opens the door.

"hello?"

“…Apologies…”

A Supreme Angel with pitch black wings wearing a tattered red cloak stumbles out of the shadows, he seems stressed and exhausted, his wings are in the process of healing but not correctly, they’re still broken

“…A-Archangel Raphael… I’m in need of… medical assistance… I-I hope this isn’t a bad time… I should’ve come earlier… a-apologies..!”

Raphael immediately grabs onto the supreme angel, practically dragging him to the main part of the heal sanctum.

"deep breaths, friend ... I will help..."

His butterfly like wings flutter as he lays the other down on the bed,

"your wings aren't healing correctly... I'll have to put them in a cast."

He begins doing just that.
