May I draw an art based on your art?

In the past, I've been shown art that was almost identical to mine in both composition and style.
This happened because the criteria for what constitutes “referencing” differ from person to person.
The line between reference and imitation varies from person to person.
So even if you see it as a reference or a sign of respect, I might perceive it as imitation or plagiarism.
Since it only causes sadness for both of us, I would appreciate it if you could refrain from doing this.
過去に、自分をフォローしてくれている方から「参考にした」という旨で、私のイラストと構図も絵柄も殆ど同じイラストを見せられたことがあります。
これは、「参考」の基準が人によって違ったがために起きた出来事でした。
あなたにとっては参考やリスペクトのつもりでも、私からは盗作に感じてしまうかもしれません。
お互いに悲しい思いをしてしまうかもしれないので、出来れば私のイラストを参考にしないようお願いします。
