every now n then i think about how native americans as human beings just dont exist in like 99% of mainstream media. in movies or tv shows or books or video games or you know even in porn like we just arent people. when theres a native character theyre like a wild west indian. like truly to ppl we all died back in the 1900s.

Ok like. Imagine life without ads. You wake up, check your messages across a variety of apps, no ads. You get up and put on the tv while you prep your breakfast, no ads. Maybe you drive somewhere and switch on the radio, no ads. Maybe you drive a long distance, yet somehow, not a single billboard on your path. You pick up a newspaper or magazine to pass the time, no advertisements only articles. You turn on your game console, the home screen is just about your games, no ads to buy more. You open a streaming app, you don't pay extra for no ads, there's just no ads ever.

Think about how much of your time is spent looking at ads. "Download ublock" yeah I know, I have. But that doesn't change that the world is covered with endless advertising. Imagine never seeing that again. How much better our lives would be.

hot take but im kinda luke warm on ads. i like the idea of using ads to subsidize costs to give user's a free experience. free water during events that's free because the bottle is covered in paid advertising? hell yeah! free streaming platforms/content creators that keeps the lights on by playing ads intermittently during the video? yeah that's great! obviously, i'd prefer to have access to these things without the ads but it seems like a small price to pay for access. now showing me ads for shit i already paid for? i hate that shit

Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.

this is so funny to me. it's wild that this person thinks "you read a 310-page book as a child?" is such a gotcha. the most popular children's novels of my childhood were at least that long. i started reading the percy jackson series in the 2nd grade. the paper back version of the lightning thief that i read was 384 pages.

the idea that if children's media doesn't talk down to children then its not children's media is so shitty for kids. where would we be without ATLA or Adventure Time, some of the greatest children's media of all time because it never talks down to you. just because you got something out of children's media as an adult does not suddenly make it not for children, it just means the writing is great and children truly deserve no less.

Hey guys! For the 2026 Toxic Yuri Visual Novel Jam, I had the absolute pleasure of writing and producing MIRROR_NEURON, an 18+ visual novel about care, endurance, humanity, inhumanity, and the fraught relationship between a mech and her Pilot. Written entirely by me and directed by my lovely wife @saoirsedotpdf, MIRROR_NEURON has a total of about 16k words, 4 standard endings, and 1 secret ending.
