Jesus Christ is the best example of masculinity in a man.
Self-control, forgiveness, patience, sacrifice, love, leadership, ambition, responsibility.
James 1:12 📖
♡ you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high ♡ psalm 3:3 NLT
something I never realised before was that Adam was still alive when Methuselah was born, and Methuselah died the year of the flood... so people still had access to firsthand or secondhand accounts of the garden of Eden and yet the world was so descended into sin that God had to bring the flood...
Lamech naming Noah in an act of worship to the Lord, hoping he could be the relief from the curse God gave to Adam is so interesting, especially knowing that Noah did in fact bring some relief, but in him and his children being the ones to survive the flood that gave humanity a fresh start, and brought about our covenant with the Lord to never flood us again ♡
I have so many notes from today and i wish i could share them all but this post is LONG already and I know people do not care enough to read more, plus its 3am and I have to sleep
Anyways I didn't finish everything today, so I've got to do Genesis 6 tomorrow on top of tomorrow's verses 😅
Everything
I want to be
meek, like Moses (Numbers 12:3)
righteous and blameless, like Noah (Genesis 6:8-9)
blameless and upright, like Job (Job 1:1)
honorable, like Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:9)
someone after the Lord's own heart, like David (1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22)
zealous, like Phinehas, son of Eleazar (Numbers 25:11 and 13)
