TFW you watch the latest installment of your favorite film universe and an old dormant ship comes roaring back to life even though one half of it isn’t in the movie at all.

Specifically

Saw Thor Ragnarok.  Love me some hilarious little dipshit Loki.  Recalling Word of God says “Odin” banished Sif to somewhere else (which was super convenient since the poor Warriors Three all got giant swords to the chest and I’m really glad my baby girl is still canonically out there somewhere).

Imagining after the movie ends Thor going “wait where the fuck is Sif” and Loki going “oh yeah um about that” and Thor takes a left and goes to pick her up.  And as soon as Sif’s back she makes a beeline to that piece of shit ex-boyfriend of hers and punches him square in the face with full Asgardian warrior strength because lbr he 100% deserves it.  There’s some yelling.  Some arguing.  Before long there’s marathon hate sex.  Which turns into not-so-hate sex because oh fuck I still have feelings for you godfuckingdammit.  Which turns into awkwardness and half-finished difficult conversations.  Which turns into sex again when things get really uncomfortable and they need a distraction but don’t want to be apart.

TL;DR:  Oh hello there Sif/Loki feelings long time no see.

Not enough people are talking about this, honestly. Jon can not understand how Dany, this incredibly inspiring and otherworldly woman, could ever think she was anything less than extraordinary. She’s unlike anyone he’s ever known. They didn’t meet under the best circumstances, but she came into his life like a whirlwind. This beautiful woman with her dragons that no one thought would ever exist again, and her people that are dedicated to her by choice, and her good heart and her dream for the future. Who echoes his same words from the past over and over again, and has no idea that it takes his breath away every time. Who surprises him at every turn, and earned his respect and his loyalty because she deserved it. She gave him hope where there was none. Hope that they will stand a chance against the Night King. Hope for the people he vowed to protect. Hope for the future of the realm. Hope that his heart will love again. This moment is so revealing because its the core of why Jon feels so deeply about Daenerys. She’s not like everybody else. She’s new and different and better, and she’s everything that he didn’t know he needed.
