Reading some of the fics I wrote from like ten plus years ago is... humbling.
Hmm, ok I wrote some words to go with the picture! Read here or on AO3

"You've loved her since the dawn of Ymir," Thor said with a smile, glancing over his shoulder at his brother watching the warrior shield-maiden Lady Sif dance in the far corner of the great hall.
"Yes," Loki sighed, his eyebrows raised in complete, utter resignation. "Along with the whole of Asgard."
"The time has come to stake your claim, brother."
"My claim?" Loki mused, looking over at Thor in wide-eyed disbelief. "I have no more claim to her than the wind or the rain."
“If I am to leave for Midgard, and you are to be king of this realm, I would sleep easier knowing Sif holds the reins.”
"Is that so?" Loki smirked, watching Sif drunkenly climb to the top of a bar stool, sloshing the contents of her tankard onto her many admirers below.
Feel like I was today years old learning that Tom could've been cast as Will Turner in POTC...
Bold move brother, even for me
Father… all my life I have answered every call… to honor, duty and to war. But now fate, has given me something I never sought. A child. A life untouched by a storm. Lend me the strength of the All-Fathers… so that I may fight once more. defeat one more enemy and return home to her. Not as a warrior, but as warmth. To teach her not battle, but stillness. The kind I never knew. Please Father heeds my word…
I don’t need many things in life, but I do need Loki in a leather jacket riding a motorcycle. Thank you, goodbye.
Limitless Season 2 is out tomorrow
what. what the hell is it with potentially deadly injuries in the last minute of the episodes this season
Weekly Gilded Age Grievances
NOT MY GEORGE WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCK!!! JULIAN FELLOWES DO NOT TAKE MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AWAY!!!! THIS IS NOT MATTHEW & SYBIL CRAWLEY 2.0 YA HEARD!
I really wanted this season to be about Bertha trying to woo that other dude just to get him to help George, leading to jealous George… and them eventually finding their way back to one another and doing it. Alas, a SHOT George. Really??!?!
Also, that Oscar scene was fucking fabulous and made me want to cry.
This season of The Gilded Age is the best one so far. Spoilers below, ye be warned.
- George Russell standing up to Bertha and being cranky with her is sexy af. You know that mfer that came on to her this episode is going to try and take shit further and I want to see jealous George some more.
- Getting Crimson Peak vibes with Hector and his weird ass sister.
- Marian thinking Larry fucked around at that brothel. Mwah. Poetic cinema.
- Oscar's love getting hit by that cart WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.
- Jack being forced out just bc he got rich was terrible.
Sifki Week 2025 - Day 3 - Dress | Crown (@sifkiweek)
"Your majesty, the king has sent you a gift," her handmaiden said with a grin, opening a large box as she bowed before the queen.
Sif's heart nearly stopped once she saw the contents, a midnight blue celestial gown laden with silver moons and stars. She had never seen anything so beautiful - and so familiar.
She ran her hands over the ornate frock, noticing a small note tucked away between the layers.
For Tonight. To outshine them all. - L
"Where is he?"
"In his study," the maid replied, her face in awe at its beauty. "Do you wish to try it on?"
"Yes," she nodded, smiling as she batted away a stray tear from the corner of her eye. "And then I must go to him."
Sifki Week 2025 - Day 2 - Prize | Possess (@sifkiweek)
A hush fell over the crowd of warriors as Odin stood from his seat.
"And now, we resurrect an ancient custom," he said, raising his cup in celebration. "After the great wars are fought alongside our brothers of Vanaheim and victory is achieved, we look to further strengthen our alliance. We do so by selecting the fairest, most eligible maiden in Asgard to bed a Vanir suitor of her choosing."
A few hoots and hollers came from the unruly crowd of drunken soldiers, but Odin once again lifted a hand to silence them.
"This year, breaking ever so slightly with tradition, I bestow this great honor upon the warrior shield maiden, Lady Sif. Beautiful as she is fierce. Strong as she is brave. A fine match for any warrior."
Sifki Week 2025 - Day 1 - Burial | Ceremony (@sifkiweek)
"Sif?" Loki spoke quietly, stepping out from the bustling hall onto the adjoining balcony where his newlywed stood, pensively looking out at the kingdom.
She turned slowly to face him, her eyes bloodshot, her face wet with tears, her nose rubbed raw and and as red as the aether.
"What is it," he asked as he went to her side, his stomach in knots at her blatant distress. Perhaps she had second thoughts about their union, something he had feared from the moment he had asked her to be his.
Sif shook her head and buried her face in her hands, sobbing in to them. Loki immediately took her into his arms without question and held her against his chest, her cries wounding him.
"What if I - I cannot be," she gasped, gesturing to the realm beneath them, her voice wavering. "What you... what Asgard requires."
Loki's brow furrowed at her words.
"I - I don't know if I am capable of such."
Loki broke away to look at her and sighed. Her long, dark locks floated on the wind, her porcelain skin aglow underneath the aurora. Even in her sadness she was beautiful, and her vulnerability only made her even more so.
"You have spent your life in servitude of this realm," he said quiet and assuredly. "Protecting it. Protecting its people. You speak of not knowing what Asgard requires, yet you have been doing it all along."
"But what if I falter."
"Then I will love you, just the same," he replied, pushing a stray hair from her eyes. "And so will Asgard."
"But - "
"I require nothing of you, Sif," he said seriously, gently lifting her chin up to meet his gaze. "You are queen of this realm now. We are all your humble servants."
"You, my servant?" she said after a long moment, cracking a small smile, finally finding the calm she so desperately needed in his eyes.
"Your most ardent one."
Sif sighed and nodded, placated by his words. She reached up and cradled his face in her hands, kissing him deeply, the pain and insecurity rapidly melting away like the snow in spring sunlight.
Loki returned the passion of her kiss with ease, his fingers delicately wrapped in her locks. He wanted nothing more than to forgo the rest of the evening's festivities and retire with her.
"Shall we at least enjoy some of our cake before Volstagg devours the entirety of it?" he whispered ruefully against her lips as she broke away, the idea of anything other than kissing her being a complete burden to him.
Sif nodded and laughed with such amusement and delight that Loki was sure that the sound of it alone could sustain him for the rest of his days.
He smiled and held out his hand for her to take. He brushed his thumb against her fingers reassuringly and the two walked back into the hall, ready to take on the nine realms together.
