my introduction ♡

hello!! welcome to my page, i'll be posting about my religion and spirituality here. (hellenic polytheism, reality shifting, and witchcraft)

my name's ruby, i'm 15 years old, and i use he/she pronouns. my main account is @spidercityy.

my practice ♡

i've been practicing witchcraft and hellenic polytheism for a year at this point. (woah)

of course, i like to do a variety of spells and magick, but my main focus is glamour magick.

i mostly consider myself a hellenic polytheist, but i worship some deities from other pantheons too. i'm a devotee of aphrodite. i worship hekate, apollon, khonsu, and loki, but i also generally worship the greek pantheon.

i'm also a reality shifter; i have been for 5 years, and i'll definitely be talking a lot about my desired realities and my journey with shifting.

yule 🎄

yule is the celebration of the winter solstice, the longest night where the sun returns and days begin to lengthen again. it celebrates the return of the light and warmth coming back soon. it focuses on themes of introspection, renewal, and setting intentions for the new year, along with light and rebirth. it’s a time to gather with loved ones and celebrate the cycles of nature and return of the light.

helloo, i just realized it's been a while since i've properly posted anything. i want to come back to posting frequently, but in order to do that i think it's time to give a little update on my practice.

my practice has honestly been a mess lately. i haven't been worshipping or practicing as consistently as i'd like to, i don't know why, i guess i just got burned out and didn't feel connected to anything.

but i'm slowly but surely coming back!! however, as you may have noticed, i'm not worshipping many of the deities i used to as frequently anymore. i won't get into any of the specifics because it's more personal to me, but long story short, for now i'm mainly worshipping lady aphrodite.

i'm glad to be (hopefully) back!! <3

🪄 Subtle Hekate Worship🕯️

Donate clothes, food, hygiene products, and the like to homeless shelters

Support food banks and homeless or animal shelters

Visit cemeteries; if allowed (please ask permission first), leave flowers on graves

Have a candle that reminds you of her (no altar needed)

Wear jewelry that reminds you of her

Keep a picture of her in your wallet

Have a stuffed animal polecat, dog, or toad

Have imagery of torches, crossroads, or magic around

Honor your ancestors; honor any spirits in your life

Volunteer at an animal or homeless shelter

Cook a warm meal for someone in need

Take care of yourself physically

Take a self-care bath/shower, especially those with herbs or candles

Visit a crossroads; walk/hike on paths that have a crossroads and pick the direction that calls to you

Take a walk during the new, half, or full moon (only if it is safe to do so in your area)

Take time to notice the phases of the moon; meditate under each one, and learn their meanings

Start a garden; tend to plants, especially herbs

Study herbalism; study the history of witchcraft

Ground yourself regularly

Include her within spell work, if you do any; practice discreet methods of spell-casting

Learn non-obvious divination methods; cartomancy, pyromancy, carromancy, etc.

Burn incense, if able; frankincense is great

Drink herbal teas; cook with herbs

Practice mindfulness and emotional regulation

Honor your home/space; keep it clean, and make it feel like your own

At the end of each month, cook a good meal and make drinks with added honey

Baking raisin and currant cakes

Practice patience and understanding

Work on your decision-making skills; what do YOU want? What do YOU need? What are YOUR goals/passions?

Making a bonfire; gathering around it, alone or with loved ones

Learning to have more confidence in your decisions and actions; you know what's best for you more than anyone else

cold moon ❄️

the cold moon is the full moon in december. its name comes from the fact that around this time of year, the weather starts to become colder, even snowing in some regions. this year, it falls on december 4th in gemini, which means it especially encourages communication, community, and clear thinking. rituals and spells are centered around reflection, release, and renewal, mirroring the energy of december & winter. it’s also perfect to finish up preparations for the winter solstice.

Sigils/Runes: Placement and Activation

Hey everyone! Welcome to my second sigil post. If you haven't seen my first one, check it out Here

Placement

Sow them onto bags/clothing/pillow case/blankets

Place them under your pillow

Draw them (with skin safe materials) on yourself

Draw them onto/engrave them into your tools (self care tools, accessibility tools, witchcraft tools, ect)

Draw into your nail polish, and maybe paint over it if needed/wanted

Tape them onto your devices

Draw them on tests or important papers

Draw them on the bottom or inside of your shoes

Place inside your wallet, pockets, or bags

Paint them onto mugs and food containers

Hide them in paintings and artworks

Trace them into your skin with your skin care/makeup

Literally put them anywhere!

Activation

Leave them in sunlight

Leave them in moonlight

Set them on fire

Put them next to incense

Put them under a candle (without burning)

Dip moon water on them

Dip storm water on them

Dip river water on them

Dip any magical water on them (ex: the ones listed above)

Putting them on electronics (con: they charge and die with the electronic you’ve tied them to)

Using your own energy

Drawing it in the dirt

Drawing it into a pot and adding a plant (note: if the plant gets sick, the rune/sigil won’t work as well)

Place pebbles/stones/crystals in the shape of the rune/sigil

Place flower petals in the shape of the rune/sigil

Asking the sigil to help you out/fulfill its purpose

And so much more!

The basic idea of this is to be creative! Do what works for you. These are just the things that I could come up with when I sat down and really thought about. Imagine what you could come up with that would be practice specific to you! Don't forget to personalize your magic, guys
