would you guys still love me if i moved ienzo to a multifandom mumu and would be iconless for the most part because i dont want to go through the trouble of making matching ones for everyone and just using mismatching ones isnt an option im willing to entertain.

          Simple occasion seems more COMPLICATED with such a confession. The image of the World now so dazedly out of focus , now come to STOP & STARE at what event which unfolds ‘tween the two mages both blighted and restored. When silence falls and the room grows i m p a t i e n t with Verona’s indecision , the Valk only then reminds herself of h o w to breathe ; only then remembers how to keep her celestial heart from rioted from the wrought - ivory casket of its cage. But lo’ does a great chord unravel within , spilling and overflowing , pouring fervently from consecrated cruelty in a thirst and NEED so very unlike her. 

          Normally deft hands find themselves in a fitful burst of clumsy s h o c k , nearly toppling over the delicate cups and saucers of painted porcelain in her OBVIOUS SURPRISE . How weak of her , she thinks , to be outdone – outmatched – outmeasured by one simple phrase and by one simple word. The almost comical flurrying clatter of sound is followed by a soft , uncharacteristically b a s h f u l note of laughter , Verona at last finding the courage to peer curiously over winged shoulder at the younger and give him a few baffled blinks. 

          Verona turns ‘round in full , abandoning their tea on the counter ‘fore she does anymore damage and coming to settle in the chair beside Ienzo. Clawed hands reach to take hold of his own. “Ienzo , are you certain of what you’ve said ?” She asks softly , near - nervously. “Love is some shapeless thing , it comes and goes in a great many forms and – and I want you to be s u r e of your words.” She knows this is likely not the response he was intending to get , the moments they’ve spent together have likely supported reason enough for his admittance and yet —

          “You , my darling , are a blessed – a wonderful – a beautiful thing ; a remnant Light here within this path I’ve been condemned to , y o u are the radiant thing that brings me HOME . Yet I am not able to walk in this Light beside you ; I cannot shine as you do.” She was , afterall , the one to replace Diabol , it would not bode well. 

          Claws gingerly brush aside the slate curtain of his bangs as she offers him a wistful smile. Leaning forward , Verona rests a kiss to his lips , to his cheeks , to the corners of his eyes , along the dull cut of his jaw.  .  . “Ienzo ,” She begins again , sorrow ( fear ) in her tone. When the thought doesn’t finish , she tries again , “You’ve only j u s t earned back your heart , whyever would you squander it on me ?” The question is murmured to his skin as she rests their heads together , her hand moving to press just where his erratic bird sings so she may capture the notes in her palm , the embellish of her presence bleeding painlessly into the cloth of his shirt. “You understand , I fear I may ruin what you’ve regained. However ,” She draws back in order to meet his gaze. “Should you mean what you say , I shall treasure you and your heart as I do the stars in the evening ; I shall treasure it as I do the many moments we share .  .  .” With her , Ienzo would NEVER DIE , immortalized as an ever - bright , ever - beloved constellation amongst her eternal memories.

this was surprisingly difficult and the answer i came up with is less about dislike and more about struggling to write it myself, but action is something i really enjoy reading when done well but i personally suck at writing it! it’s really hard for me to keep the momentum going and for the characters and goings on to remain dynamic.

another thing that i absolutely do not want to write, and only occasionally love seeing others handle because its usually not my thing and i can be very picky about it, is parenting. keep those babies and children away from me and my characters, please and thank you. mentoring or teaching a younger character? that i can do sure, but if it starts veering into what is essentially ‘ kid fic ’ territory i do not want it.

at least strelitzia had the decency to look suitably ashamed while she put down the hairspray and shook away her fira (ignore the small burn on her hand, please, she wasn’t good at this yet). “ sorry, ” she began, while making a valiant attempt at hiding behind her hair.

“ i thought it would be fun. ” and she wanted to make super-fast toasted marshmallows. as it turned out there was a new thing called a s’more, and she needed one right now. it was really unfair of people to have invented so many things while she was aliven’t – how was she supposed to catch up? 

“ i won’t do it again. ” where ienzo could see, that was. maybe in a few hours. 

was ienzo himself this much trouble to manage when he was a child? surely not. still, he spares a moment to think of even, apologetic for the times he had been forced to put aside his work to attend to ienzo's own brand of mischief instead. he hopes to channel the man now, trying to achieve some of his icy sternness when, in reality, ienzo doesn’t fault strelitzia for wanting to try something new.

he knows better than to encourage something as reckless and uncontrollable as hairspray and fire magic unsupervised.

“ would it still have been fun if someone got hurt because you set a fire that got out of control? how exactly did you plan to take responsibility if someone else was badly burned, or choked on smoke, or got otherwise injured? what if you burned down someone’s home, or their life’s work? did you think of what you would do in that case? ”

ienzo sighs. weaponizing hypotheticals to induce guilt comes to him easily, still, but he doesn’t like how it makes him feel now that he has a heart.

“ now, would you show me your hand so we can see if there’s something we can do about it, hm? then, if you still want to play with fire, i suggest we find a suitable place for it in the castle. sans the hairspray—you will benefit more from getting better at magic rather than trying to achieve results with artificial tricks. ”
