also if someone doesnât boop/kiss the snoot at some point then iâll label this blog a failure.Â
IM!!!!!! SOFT!!!!!!!!
so with the few rps that i have going---how do you guys think iâm doing with ian??? i just want to know if yâall think heâs good enough i guess--because i feel good with writing him that iâm probably going to be making his own blog here soon once i get some fancy banners made.
spiriitumâ:
âAha, yeahhh⌠Best not ask questions you donât want ANSWERED.â Ohhh, itâs SHEER LUCK, Ian. The boy pulled his goggles off, rubbing the lenses on his sleeves to clean them. A wide, buck-toothed grin spread across his freckled face as he gave a rather NONCHALANT shrug.Â
âNew chemical compound. CLEARLY I didnât get the mixture right. Sorry if I SCARED ya. I donât normally get VISITORS down here anymore.â
   there was a nervous chuckle at that, he knew that he himself got out of scrapes that could have killed just about anyone if they werenât lucky enough, so he left the thought at that--a thought.Â
   and good thing too, because the next moment his eyes widened with curiosity as he strode forward.Â
     âyouâre fine! iâve been spooked a few times in my life, i donât think another one will do me any harm. however, a new compound sounds fascinating! what are you trying to make it accomplish? anything specific?â
I've got lots of arts but I dont have enough time to post them :(
BUT HEY I have some stuff about onward that I wanna show u!!!!!!đł
it wasnât really shown in the movie, but i want to say that elf ears are rather keen on listening in when itâs needed. theyâre rather alert creatures and with their large ears they can hear up to half a mile away when they concentrate.Â
ian, when focused with his magic, can actually hear up to a mile away--so you can bet your bottom dollar when him and barley are up to something while their mother isnât home he can alert his brother the MOMENT laurelâs car comes into range.Â
youâre lying to yourself if you donât think that when ian remade the staff he made sure that there werenât any splinters on it. sure the splinter did eventually save the day, but heâs more of a practical being, and he didnât want to keep getting them in his hands and suffer infections if they may so happen.Â
spiriitumâ:
âOh, Iââ ANOTHER FAILED INVENTION. Typical. Something had blown up in his face AGAIN, the boy completely covered in SOOT almost from head to toe. Letting out a couple coughs, he stood and brushed himself off, pushing his goggles back up onto his head. âI-Iâm okay, PROMISE. This, uh⌠Th-This happens ALL THE TIME.â
     âall the time? how arenât you--â he stopped himself short on finishing that sentence before looking at the spread that the other had. this looked like a laboratory of some sort, that was kinda cool. twiddling his fingers against the staff, ian wondered.
     âwhat were you working on?â
@seeksquestâ liked x for a starter!
     âyouâre looking at the newest owner of a driverâs licence.â he looked proud of himself as he held up the piece of lamented plastic, waving it around like he owned the place. the picture that was taken might not have been the best given he looked as though he were drunk, but that didnât matter.Â
   he passed the test, and thatâs what mattered. Â
seeksquestâ:
â you technically do? but because youâre new at this,  iâm gonna go easy on you & let you count that last strike as non responsive. â   barleyâs voice remains encouraging & leveled,  if it were to be any one of his other campaign buddies he mightâve actually been boasting here but the main goal was to keep ian actually interested to finally join in on the gameâs fun which proved to not be such an easy feat in the first place.  most would say that his obsession with quests of yore was an unhealthy obsession, life around him SPIRALED & the walls of his game had provided that comfort that he needed in times of such difficulty.  ian obviously found his own ways of coping, maybe he had been stronger for that but after the last couple of days they both had, barley needed to get his brother occupied on something else. they had been in the middle of a movie when ian suddenly popped the question. it had been unexpected at first but a welcomed sight to finally get his brother to join in on something that he personally found solitude in. Â
   ears perked up when barley was going to allow him to keep his character. sure the character was only a level two tiefling cleric, but he felt proud of the backstory and all the hardwork he put into the character to just see the guy die on the battlefield before getting to the end.Â
     âreally? you sure? i donât want to--you know--cheat or anything.â heâd rather learn the game the correct way from his brother. sure he didnât always want to play these types of games, but with the situation they went through--ian was starting to understand just how much family really meant to him. he didnât want to waste any time if he could help it.Â
   and if that meant learning this game, then so be it.Â
@spiriitumâ liked x for a starter!Â
     âare you injured?â kneeling down to assess the stranger, ian kept hold of the staff rather tightly. he was starting to learn a few healing spells as well as some for dealing with pain if the need did arise. for now though, the young elf would wait for the other to answer--not wanting to ask too many questions at once.Â
can we talk about how much more emotional it would have been if gwenivere was more like the going merry from one piece???? and had a personification. and just that scene. you know the scene.Â
heartsfiireâ:
iâm still working on iconsâŚ.but like for a starter?????
so this is one of my favorite scenes in the movie, i honestly burst out laughing at how nonchalant the both of them were while barley just fed ian a single cheeto.Â
iâll die for these two. js.
     âis it the staff youâre worried about? because if it is you really donât have to be afraid! honestly, itâs just a stick until i cast a spell,â he didnât want to frighten anyone, especially someone who could potentially become a friend.Â
