Ever felt the presence of a void inside of you that you are unable to fill and fail to satiate?
It dwells in the most remote recesses of your soul, lurking in the bogs of your sorrow, chewing the edges of your happiness in the shadows of your doubts, caressing your fears?
It seems to abandon you when you are in bliss, but should you end up in solitude, accompanied only by your thoughts, it slithers forth and makes you long for things you cannot obtain, as you do not even know what those things are.
It makes you to drive everybody away, and then makes you cry, because you are alone.
It forces you to lock yourself in your room, when you want to see the world.
The happier you are the stronger it gets, as the contrast between you being happy and it softly eating you away from the inside grows with every joyful experience.
It takes after the morning fog: no matter how hard you try, you cannot chase it away, when it is present it veils everything; then, in the blink of an eye it dissipates, but make no mistake: it will be there the next morning.
Initially you will be scared, irritated even. You will try to fight it, try to chase it away, but to no avail.
But then, at one point, you will realise that you cannot make it go away: it is here because of you, and you are the meaning of its existence.
It is Your void.
And slowly, you will learn to see the beauty in this void.
The indescribable, untouchable, incomprehensible beauty of nothingness.
Let yourself sink into the void inside of you.
Tear your consciousness away from your flesh and blood, and delve deeper into yourself than ever before, as this void has no end.
Let it be your shelter when everything else seems so superficial, plastic, and forced.
Let it be your haven when you desire isolation, silence and gloom, as it seems hostile only until you realise that it merely wants to make you accept it as a part of you.
Be one with the void.
