I'm really happy we got these announcements today but I just feel so awful for Ed that people keep breaking his news before he gets a chance to do it himself :(

Yeah, it sucks that this keeps happening. Does it happen with every artist, do you think? Ed and Frank Turner are the only two that I pay special attention to, but I’ve never seen something similar happen with Frank. But maybe it does and I just don’t notice. I guess if something leaked in his fandom, I probably wouldn’t see it…

But honestly, I don’t even know how anyone finds unlisted videos without being given a direct link. How would you even know to look for it? The mind boggles. 

The only way I can think of for Ed to guarantee that nothing gets posted before he wants it to would be to never try to keep anything quiet. Like, announce it as soon as he knows it himself. But there are a lot of things that wouldn’t really work for, especially the things that he already knows waaay in advance. Would be kinda pointless to announce that you’ll be on the radio in three or four months, right? But it is kinda shitty that whenever he gets excited about announcing something, someone else manages to burst his bubble. And it bothers me that it’s often fans who do it - or at least people who claim to support him, like radio DJs - because I feel like if you liked the boy enough to want to tell everyone his news, then you’d respect him enough to let him have his moment rather than trying to be the first to spill the beans. I mean, how difficult is it to check Ed’s twitter before posting about something big? Not very. The answer is that it’s not very difficult. :/

I still think most people heard the album news from Ed first, though. And I don’t think anyone spilled about the single and the EP before he did, so that makes me happy! Did I mention how excited I am?
