Some of my favorites from the rides at Amerivespa 2013. In the last week, I've had a lot of scooter firsts and conquered a lot of fears- riding my Vespa up and down Highway 1, 101, 5, 405, 94, and plenty of not so well paved roads in Baja, crossing a bridge with very low side walls (it was cake compared to the SF bridges), group riding with people I don't know, and riding through a desert in a foreign country with a heart condition I didn't tell anyone about. The worst that happened was that the desert was 116 degrees and my scoot (and I) overheated but it all worked out. 

It was the perfect amount of well executed planned rides, unplanned "safety 3rd" rides, debauchery, after parties, and new friends. It's so rad to be surrounded by people that love what they're doing.  

My next purchase is going to be an Armadillo parka and another vintage smallie.

My last Landscape Architecture final is due Friday and you have no idea how weird it is to want a college version of summer break at the age of slightly over 30. Shortly, I get to get back to playing and writing songs with the band guys more often and I can NOT wait.
