If you’re trying to look “hard” I don’t think you’re suppose to tell someone that some of your battle wounds are fake.

It’s not like that, not really. It’s just- when she got pregnant she left school to go back home to her parents after we told them. But- they sort of disowned her, and then after a while they wanted her back and I thought I wouldn’t see either of them again. Then I get a phone call that she’s born and well- Diana’s here with me, and her Mom isn’t. So I guess you can add together what happened.

Oh.. that’s awful too. If I’m correct, Diana’s parents have made her basically disown her own child? I bet she must miss her terribly. I know you said you didn’t care about her, but isn’t there anything you could do? Just turn up on their doorstep unannounced or something? Surely you must want Diana to see her mother.
