In May 2011, I took a huge leap of faith and moved from Iowa down to Austin for a year, to study at Rubicon Artist Development and make my first EP. While I don't do the show anymore, I occasionally still blog about other female singer-songwriters at Lyrical Venus and Little Lyrical Venus. (and once again, the archives are pretty great!) One great thing about playing in the same set as Whalen during the OYOU benefit is we had already worked up songs for my birthday show a couple weeks before! What a great afternoon of music for a great cause!

Austin Empty Bowl Project Show!

Wow, Sunday at the Austin Empty Bowl Project was such an amazing day! Getting to play songs, hear friends play songs, see a ton of gorgeous ceramic bowls, eat tasty soup, AND know that all of that was going to help @ctxfoodbank fill empty bowls for hungry kids?
