Furiae's Favorite Locations | Timeless Woods

Having spent quite some time lounging amongst the violet blooms of the Celestus Rest plains, Furiae thought she ought to return to town and report for duty. She’d only stopped here because she had been travelling for a while now, and, after all, this was one of her favourite places on the continent of Shara. As she rose, her ears pricked to the sound of someone approaching. Hopeful that it would be another soldier whom she could walk to town with, she turned to the direction of the noise. “Hello! Is someone there?”
He’d only gone out for a stroll himself, hoping perhaps to do some hunting, but his attention was quickly drawn to the small childlike creature in armour. She seemed to carry with her a large axe, so perhaps she was a fighter or warrior, too. “Hello there, sorry to disrupt…” he said in return to her call as he approached, the thought of challenging her becoming quite appealing.
"You're not really disrupting anything," she said sheepishly. "Are you supposed to be heading back to town, too?" she asked, seeing that the man was armed and instantly assuming that he was also a soldier dispatched here. "I'm on my way there, but I probably got a little distracted. I've been travelling for ages already!" the Elin rambled in a deliberately tired manner.

“Exactly! So, I’m sure your assistance would be greatly appreciated.”
"So, what role do you take in this conflict, Mister? You don't appear to be a soldier of any sort."

“Oh no, the vigilantes aren’t human. They’re fellow Gods, and, in fact, residents of Tenkai are able to be slain. The Tentei assassinated the previous one in a coup about three hundred years ago.”
"I-I see... But I guess it must be pretty hard to take care of the monsters when the bigger powers are waging war against each other, right? It seems like the politics here aren't too stable..."

“The Tentei, or God King for your better understanding, is one that the general community doesn’t…adore. He’s rather cruel and ruthless actually, slaughtering entire clans for the folly of the one. There’s a vigilante group gathering members to try and annihilate him.”
"That... Definitely doesn't sound like the best situation. Is it really possible for the mortals to slay a god like that? There was a celestial war in my home, but no mortals could possibly hope to get involved in it."

“If that is what you wish. But, let me tell you now that mazoku aren’t the biggest problem right now.”
"Eh? There's something else, too?"

Kujaku nodded, “They are. They’re the equivalent of monsters and demons.”
"I see. Where I come from, monsters work alongside the Argons in order to overthrow the Federation, which is made up of many different races. I've spent an awful lot of my time fighting off monsters, you see, and I'm familiar with the kind of wreckage they cause. If my strength can help this world, too, then I'd be more than happy to stick around for a little while."
heaven-cleaver started following you
“Well…there are things worse than a mazoku. But, then again, mazoku come in all forms. Like, you could be mistaken for a mazoku.”
"Should I be weary of these 'mazoku'? You make it sound as if they're rather troublesome..."
heaven-cleaver started following you
“This is Tenkai, the land of the Tentei. Humans, Gods, and Mazoku live here.”
"Ha? I guess you wouldn't have seen my kind before then... No other races live here at all?"
heaven-cleaver started following you
“Hmm…it seems you’ve wandered more than camps. You seemed to have wandered worlds.”
"Worlds? Well, I guess an adventurer's spirit isn't limited to one world? Or maybe that's just in books..."
"...Say, Mister, what world am I in now? Maybe I'm here for something important."
heaven-cleaver started following you
“This place is Tenkai. Since you didn’t know that, it’s safe to say you’re not a mazoku and you won’t eat me. How about you tell me a little bit about yourself then?”
"The name's Furiae. I'm a Federation soldier, currently based in Elenea. I decided to wander around a little bit, since I haven't received any commands yet."
heaven-cleaver started following you
“What’s a cute little thing like you doing wandering around this place? Are you lost?”
"Hmm, maybe I wandered too far from my camp... I don't really recognize this place."
heaven-cleaver started following you
“Oh! Someone new! It’s nice to meet you!”
"Ah, hello Mister!" Furiae replied with an exaggerated wave.
