in more s1 rewatch news, i just bounded into the bedroom to have a fullblown Autism Moment to my fiancé about my s3 crowley predictions!! and the fact that i only just noticed gabriel comes to earth from heaven in s1e6 via lightning, and crowley calls down lightning in his rage in s2! and i ranted about the god talking to job scene for a hot minute like "that's all stuff crowley does!!" i'm unintelligible tonight i'm sorry

Autumn. For John, it was the worst time of year. Not for the dreary weather, the darkening of the sky or the chill in the air that accompanied the turning of the leaves. No, in fact, that was what brought him comfort in these times. Instead, it was the memories of times he would rather forget. That, and because if anything else was going to happen, to seek him out and hunt him down, it would be now.

He walked through one of the quieter streets in town, seeking more pleasant thoughts. The harvest festival would be soon, he was at least looking forward to that! Halloween... not so much. But the kids enjoyed it, at least.

One hand clutching a take-out coffee, a seasonally appropriate pumpkin spice he had been meaning to try for some time, he tucked his other hand into his heavy coat, which all but obscured his clerical dress underneath, leaving only the white collar as an indication of his role, something of an invitation for others to approach and address him.

" morning, father, " drawled and drawn out. serpent's gaze flit to survey beneath dark lenses. " 'm new in town : anthony crowley, it's a pleasure. " lips curled their WOLF'S GRIN with a palm out in offering. " aren't the trees just something this time'a year? " crimson head canted.

Mulder's not really sure how it started, but he's sure as hell going to end it. Crowley is nothing but limbs and Fox had a bit of heft to him thanks to his persistent jogging. The height difference makes the grapple a bit difficult but by the stars above he's going to pull the demon into a headlock.

"Cut it OUT." He manages, attempting to twist and pull the other from whatever is fanning their flames. (Feel free to punch or bite him in retaliation.)

" agent " a warning through gritted teeth. lips part to find purchase against the other's forearm, SINKING INTO sweat slicked flesh enough to puncture and drag. crimson smears in their wake and clings to his mouth ... it matches the wild tousle of his hair. it's enough to twist and face him fingertips scrabble at the back of mulder's skull and tug, buried within short cropped strands.
