First art piece I've posted in a while that has not been related to some type of event! I might touch this up later and repost a refined version, but I needed to get it out before the perfectionism devil got to me :)

Brief Azris Rant (related to this art):

I think these colors sum up how Azris feels in my head. They're (the colors and the characters) not particularly vivid for their own sake, but together they blend very well. I did try to give Azriel's siphon and Eris's crown a stronger kind of glow (because of their strong connections to their roots). I also wanted the swirls to look a little like shadows and a little like smoke.

If Nesta lives with Eris at the Forest House and you said something bad about him, you can be sure you will not receive an invitation to the next book club meeting or court dance.

Hi there @mivuolebene, thanks for your questions! 12 What would their favorite IRL vacation destination be? They have such a demanding life, I think both would want to chill during their vacation. Stay at a nice villa with mid-century furniture, read by the pool, have a midday nap that leads to an afternoon fuck, and go to the locals' favourite fish restaurant in the evening. I imagine a Mediterranean island, but something off the beaten path. I recently watched A Bigger Splash. The film takes place on Pantelleria and I think that fits the bill quite nicely. 18 What is your favorite Neris fanart? I got this question twice, so I will share one here and one in my answer to the other ask. @dimalry's Neris sketches make me feel things.

15 What is the funniest thing they would argue about?

Eris excels at everything. So, it's no wonder he's proficient in musical activities as well. We know he's a magnificent dancer, but he's also great at playing the piano, very precise but also playful. But there is one thing he is not good at. Eris sings pretty off-key. Of course none of his tutors dared to tell him and later, his house was not one for merry singing. When Nesta encounters him in the bathroom and hears his singing for the first time, she laughs in shock. Of course, Eris is hurt and lashes out. Surely, Nesta would know nothing about fae music, especially from Autumn. They have a bad fight and spend the night in their own rooms. In the morning after a sleepless night, Eris asks his mother for an honest opinion on his singing abilities and she confirms Nesta's assessment. Eris apologises and brings breakfast to Nesta's bed. It will take some time for Nesta to convince him how endearing she finds his little flaw, but when he finally believes her, he returns to sing the worst arias with the lewdest lyrics, and it's Nesta's favourite thing. Hey @buffy-vanserra, 22 What would be their most scandalous court rumor? *leans over to whisper in your ear* Have you heard what Nesta and Eris are doing in their private chambers? Nesta puts a dog collar on him and puts him on a leash. When he behaves he can get a taste of her. And he likes it! 1. What made you first ship Neris? The whole seduction plot in ACOSF was absolutely bonkers, but the dance itself? Hot! "I’ll show you how a future High Lord plays.” Eris being full of himself, but also a bit hot. I thought it was really cute when he explained the mountain tunnels to her, and she was so intrigued. And also, when he said his offer (of marriage) was sincere. Eris is always in strategy mode and his real feelings and motives hidden under hundreds of layers, but I think with her, he has always been honest. As much as he's capable of at least. Eris in general is very shippable to me, because I like emotionally repressed characters. And two characters that don't mind physical intimacy, but struggle with emotional intimacy. Catnip to me! honestly i don’t think anything will ever top the one and only erislain post i ever made 👅 tl;dr if elain was the bait instead of nesta, 8d chess eris would have pulled the same enamored affect he did with nesta because either 1) they used her because she really is useless to them compared to nesta but he can still use her as a way to get closer to lucien; 2) they used her because they think she’s useless but really they just don’t know what to do with her, in which case he gets to cultivate whatever powers they’re squandering AND ensnare lucien; or 3) they used her because they want him to think she’s useless compared to nesta, which means they want his eyes on nesta instead, which means his eyes should definitely be on elain instead. regardless, there’s no way he feels he can lose in this situation.

so i think it looks similar to the outset of neris wherein eris goes in thinking he’s just going to use elain, either for her secret abilities or the bait she’d be for her mate, but then ! uh oh! beautiful, soft, pink, plush elain, who hates what she is now but only because no one bothered to show her what it means to be faerie. they coddled her. they let her wallow. they let her drop ripe from the bough of the tree and sit on the ground overlong and the sweetest part of her bruised flat against the earth. nearly, the flies even got to her in their attempts to keep her still and stable and unmoving. but she doesn’t need any of that. her magic is stagnant in her, and that’s why she’s suffering. he doesn’t care if she rages at him. everyone does that. he can take it. she needs to be pushed, even if she doesn’t want to be.

she accuses him, one fraught day full more of her magic than it is of the magic of the world, of being like the cauldron. trapping her. forcing her to be this. to do this. no, he says. this is not that, no matter how much you want it to be. you were forced, but not by me. this is what you are now. you have no choice but to be it. but you get to choose how. sink or swim, elain archeron. and she gets angry! because how dare he say that to her who once drowned. you don’t care; you’re just like they say; you just want to use my abilities—well you can’t, they’re mine, not yours. she sounds petulant. she sounds like a child. not the youngest daughter but the one treated as such. she doesn’t care. that girl is dead. the cauldron took her and trapped her. then eris smiles. not cold—hot. so hot. far more intense than the gentle sunlight. far more demanding. but close enough—and different enough. then make them yours, he says. and elain shivers. bites her lip.
