….I don’t know that the Richard Siken quote is what you want here that poem in general and that stanza in particular is explicitly about an abusive relationship

the line after it is “So you get a kidney punch, a little blood in your urine.”

Like if that’s what you mean than that’s what you mean i’m all for it maybe i’m misinterpreting the intention (i am less familiar with the other stuff). but when my kissing degenerates into biting the vibes are rather different

Thanks for bringing this up. A Primer For the Small Weird Loves is actually a favorite of mine from Crush, but it had a been a minute since I read it in it's entirety and I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit hazy on the source material. I think the last time I picked up the book was 2021, maybe even 2020.

I pulled most, if not all of these quotes from my tag, All I Know Of Love is Hunger, which means that most, if not all, of them are completely out of context.

Clearly the context is not the overlying theme weaved through this, and I feel that's quite obvious. That said, I'm sorry if this in any way made you, or anyone else who's come across this uncomfortable. I'll try to be more aware of it in the future, but at the end of the day, this was me trying to piece things together that brought about a common theme.
