gadreel & rage
as an angel of the lord, gadreel should not be feeling this way, but after the massive betrayal he suffered at the hands of the very people he held dear, the angel is filled to the brim with rage. he doesn’t act on it. he doesn’t follow the little voice in his head demanding he makes those who hurt him pay.
no, all gadreel wishes for is peace. he wants to be forgiven for his crimes, he wants to be part of a family again. he wants to matter to someone again. those who dare oppose him will feel his wrath - of which he has plenty.
he still hopes that one day, when he is given what he deserves (forgiveness, his family’s love, redemption) that the rage will die down & he will feel like himself again.

gadreel is a winged beast. that’s what they called him. he is one of a few left live, traded for gold & sold many times in his short life. he is a fighter, pitched against other monsters like him in fights that decide about life & death. his wings aren’t exactly an advantage, but he wouldn’t want to be without them either. they’re damaged & he doubts he can still fly with them, but they belong to him.
he’s collared at all times with a tracker attached to it & a remote to allow for electrical impulses to be sent through in case he tries to run. and he tried.
plot: your muse can either be his “current” owner, a future owner after gadreel was sent to the local shelter when his master died or a doctor with influence taking the broken beast away from his abusive owner & the fighting. or someone else entirely.
the apocalypse happens after all, only many years later than expected. gadreel had just sided with castiel & the winchesters to atone for his sins when it all spirals downwards & he’s facing a world he doesn’t recognize.
infected (croats) everywhere, most of the human population erased & the last few survivors holed up in camps & bunkers trying to sit it out, but the apocalypse won’t end unless lucifer & michael are locked up.
gadreel teams up with your muse & their followers to try & save the world. for now, it’s all about survival, though. baby steps.
chuck revived gadreel & dropped him off on planet earth & the only thing he told him before doing so, was: prove to me you are worthy of a second chance.
what does that mean? how was gadreel supposed to prove something like that? who was he to prove it to? was their father watching? what happened to his wings? why… why weren’t they there? where was his grace? was he… human? no.
human!gadreel dealing with human needs and such and finding someone to teach him.
open to oc’s and canons. doesn’t matter, really, so long as we get along. :)
OPEN TO ANGELS ONLY.
gadreel & your muse are both stuck in heaven’s prison, they’re being tortured most of the day & only have a few hours at night to comfort one another & offer affection when nobody else does. sharing a cell does have its perks, there’s touches & soft whispers, hushed voices & reassurance whenever no guard is around.
PRISON ESCAPE.
gadreel and a fellow imprisoned angel manage to escape. nobody escaped heaven’s prison ever, so the guards are equally impressed & furious as they set out to find the two escapees. the angels can’t stay in heaven where they surely are to be found quickly, so they leave heaven & travel to earth, which is where they find themselves vessels to move among humankind & run as far and fast as they can.
a life on the run begins.

“i was hoping for different circumstances, but i fear this is all we have.” years ago he’d seen castiel last, years ago he’d sacrificed himself so castiel could save everybody else. from the sounds of it, he’d saved heaven just now. he’d put his trust in castiel once before - he’d not been disappointed. dumah was gone, but after her reign in heaven he wasn’t sure he belonged anymore. earth was never his home, but castiel had found his among humans, so maybe he could, too? “heaven ..changed.”
