✧ june wandered curiously through seemingly empty hallways of heaven. having split off from the rest of the group, the young applicant was taking this time to explore, wide-eyed and inquisitive as ever. though her main question was: why was it so quiet? it was peaceful, sure, but would heaven always be like this?

June could be heard before she could be seen, her voice carrying across the otherwise empty hallways as she ran merrily in search of her friend. She abruptly stopped to a halt as she met eyes with the Agent, bright eyes widening in surprise. Caught in the act. “Oh! I- I was just looking for my friend...We got a little lost.”

Her curiosity was never sated, (a trait that had always been June’s downfall - not that she would admit it) and now it was as insatiable as ever. Finding herself in such a new place she couldn’t wait to explore. Though she heavily suspected that wandering around would be against the rules, that had never stopped her before...

✧ june could only hope, given that the two options currently presented to her were water and juice. still, what was one to expect of HEAVEN. it was hardly the place to have a seedy bar. or a seedy anything for that matter. the place was spotless, understandably so given the few girls kneeling around the place scrubbing the floors.

and if she was so lucky…one day THAT could be her.

✧ the doll’s slender arm vigorously turned the crank of the gramophone until a sombre melody poured from it’s speakers. the music mixing with the frantic, but distant, sounds of the rest of the carnival. she moved, teasingly slowly, to turn into the light, revealing features like cracked porcelain and eyes which studied person before her. watching expectantly.
