What is Heavy Force?

The cool awesome answer: everything and nothing. (+dragons)

Heavy Force is a word play. Heavy Force is what has cursed you to be unable to fly, no matter how hard you try. Heavy Force is the reason the tides exist. Heavy Force is the reason the unstoppable force will never cease to try pushing the immoveable object. Heavy Force makes us collide in ugly bloody crashes that irrevocably change the trajectory of the universe as we know it.

The boring answer is: Heavy force is a scifi story and worldbuilding project by @tiliqi This is a multimedia story (still a work in progress) that is meant to be experienced through the posts on this blog, the articles on this website, as well as content clues in the shown art. In the future there will be more connected projects, which will include comics and videos. Future updates can be influenced by engaging with the story (aka by sending the author comments and thoughts and therefore motivating him to finish his 3000 wips, i promise he likes gushing abt the themes and symbolism)

thinking about alpha and how fucked up everything abt it is

this kid is born and immediately rejected by one of their parents, lives in a very hostile environment until it is "rescued" and put into foster care at the laboratory. kid then grows up in a sterile environment without any love but extreme expectations. it constantly mutates and gets torn apart and put back together.

and when it finally snaps and explodes it isn't even granted the relief of death. it lives on and on and on. nothing more but a mass of pulsing meat that groans in misery, forever and ever, while being continously "harvested", slice for slice for slice.

the scariest thing about impossible expectations is the way jessee doesn't let the impossibility stop him. especially when it feels tangible to him. especially when time and time again he gets too lucky and closer and closer to that goal he reaches for.

the scary thing is how he has everything to show for it, and technically he reached the goal of "making a change" over and over and over, but is it ever enough? theres always more that can be changed. more that needs to be changed.

so how can a gluttonous man like him say no when hes offered an unlimited all you can eat?

when god invites him to hold its cold unloving hand, he has no choice but to take it and let it swallow him whole

one of the main themes of heavy force is "what makes you...you?"

arch has no past. he might be in his late 20s, but he does not have a lot of lived experience to base a personality on. so where does it come from? how much of the personality he has is his own, and how much of it is borrowed from expectation, from memories without an owner, from borrowed instinct, taken from the corpse of whatever lived inside that body before it was his turn?

what defines him as him? is it his anger? or his urge to "help"?

who is arch? a man? a vessel? a bundle of atoms, firing electric signals to puppeteer this flesh creature through a universe that doesn't care?

depends on who you ask, i suppose?

but then... which one is the real arch?

something i need to talk about are the parallels between arch and jessee

arch is extremely powerful. he was created that way. it's all hes ever known. raw power. omega. despite that he's pretty fragile, emotionally unstable. he wishes for nothing more than to be Not Himself. to be Not The Chosen One. he never wanted to change anything other than himself, his circumstances. however, that wish obviously has consequences beyond just himself. despite his best efforts, there was nothing that could've prevented him from irreversibly changing the world. nothing could've stopped him from causing the end of the world.

jessee is pretty powerless. ignoring the fact that hes a regular human, he also is a poor one. coming from an exploited community that is forced to bend their backs in spirals for the wealthy colonizers, he never had a chance to rise. a chance to make a real change. no matter how much he gets promoted, no matter how acknowledged he becomes as a scientist....he can't change the world. no matter how hard he tries, he will never be able to change the world, let alone save it.

futura fortuna searches for solutions and, presented with the choice of jessee the scientist and arch the monster (omega), from the very beginning it was clear to him that, in the end, money talks.

and money says it prefers a monster over some green washy jungle boy scientist.

alright so. arch. amnesia.

we know the drill. angry edgy "im too cool for you" guy with anger issues has amnesia and distrusts everyone.

but i raise the question: why does he have amnesia? what was before he was in gay baby jail (crystal cruzifix prison)

does he even really have amnesia?

because, when talking about the world he knows (oh he knows a world different from where he's at? like. as in. remember?) he speaks of it with equal amounts of disgust and awe.

when asked if he knows anyone from his past he denies, but whenever he's reminded of an old friend he will smile fondly. maybe scoff at himself or shake his head, but nevertheless he does it with a warmth in his heart that shows on his face, no matter hiw tough he convinces himself to be.

when asked about what happened, asked how he ended up in that crystal, frozen in time for so many years.... he knows exactly what he did. how he deserved being removed from the world. but as he opens his mouth the words twist all on their own until they have nothing to do with the vision in his mind.

why was he brought back? why is he here, now? the person he remembers himself to be doesn't deserve being alive. he might as well have died.

arch has the chance to make right by what the man in the crystal did wrong.

Sooo since Heavy Force has a lot of themes to do with christianity what does that mean for Arch? Since there is a sort of great flood event he probably carries some sort of value for the future? What is being saved from extinction through him?

very good question.

the funny thing is that arch himself has nothing to do with the story. its a happy little coincidence that the symbols shape (an arch) is pronounced the same as noahs ark.

was he preserved for the future? or was he banished to protect everyone else?

finally going through the updated website (brain been weird) and I love Angel. Definition of "I'm normal don't worry about it" (she is not), and doing things in a loving way at least in her opinion ??? I'm not being very coherent. Also wanting her kid to be more abnormal??????holy wow. lot to unpack there.

angel is such a fun character, she has 49393874 problems but none of them are *hers* bc she has no problems!

also u need to understand that in a world where everyone is special it does seem odd for a guy to be just super not special (or at least he won't show her how special he is bc he knows how she is) (also special is very subjective)
