We recorded this in Kilian’s studio in February 2015 before Chris moved away. It was probably the last complete song we ever wrote. This is way cooler than I remembered it sounding.

We would like to extend thanks to all of our friends, new and old, who came out to the Piano Burning on Saturday and gave us such a warm response. Unfortunately, time has taken its toll on us and as we've all grown older, wiser, (slightly) more responsible, busier and hopefully more adult, it's become increasingly difficult to dedicate the 110% we put into every song, record and gig. We have too much respect for ourselves as a band and as friends and you, the people who give a fuck, to half-ass our art. So rather than fade out over the next couple of years as we get increasingly bitter and jaded, we've chosen to end things on our terms.
Thanks to all of our friends, family, fans, the folks at Ear One Productions, Get Young Records, Girls Cartel Records, The Arc Agency, anyone who ever booked us on a show, opened up their homes to us or allowed our music into their ears.
The final Heavy Breath gig will take place on August 19th in the same place we played our first show, the WAMLEG. We hope all our friends will be there to help put the beast to rest.

Regarding Al/Setsuna

By now some of you have heard and/or read posts about events which recently came to light in the CT scene involving Al from Setsuna (a band I used to play in and whose demo I released whilst still in that band, for those who don’t know). I haven’t lived in CT in over a year nor did I keep in contact with Al at all after I left - anyone who knows me personally has heard my opinions and this isn’t the place for that - I don’t know all the details nor do they matter to me.
What matters is that assault of that nature is not the first and sadly won’t be the last of its kind. However, we can protect ourselves and each other. Please, please listen to your friends when they raise concerns about someone who makes them uncomfortable or wary, even if you like that person yourself. If you hear or see anything that raises red flags in your head, bring it up. As uncomfortable as these topics are they must be addressed and must not be hidden and swept under the rug.
As for the victim(s), you have my love and support. It’s all I can give at this point.
If anyone has questions or concerns, please feel free to message me directly. I can’t comment on Setsuna at all because I stopped working with them after I left, but I know that the current members of the band have also expressed their willingness to have discussions.
