Are there any 100+ episode anime series you saw episodes of before you ever saw Sailor Moon? If so, which ones?

My first anime (outside of Ghibli movies and Hamtaro as a little kid) was Sgt. Frog, and after I ran out of the dub I switched to fansubs posted in three parts on Youtube lmao. I probably saw over 150 of them, plus four or five movies.

I've also seen most of Naruto Shippuden (as well as the whole og series), Hunter X Hunter (2011 and later most of 1999), about seventy episodes of One Piece (though I wasn't paying much attention lol), a bunch of YuYu Hakusho, and a lot of Cardcaptor Sakura.

Some of those might be less than a hundred episodes, but they're all the most long-running series I've seen a good chunk of. As you can probably tell I tend to get bored and fall out of watching them eventually, but I did enjoy most of them well enough. Naruto and hxh are personal favorites for me

Did you ever watch a channel that no longer exists in america called Discovery Kids? It was a channel dedicated to educational shows, but it was never that popular. A lot of those who did watch the channel and loved it though were upset when the channel shut down in October of 2010, especially parents since it meant that an educational channel for kids had shut down

I did sometimes! It wasn't very often, but I liked the speculative evolution show that was on for a while. I watched other series occasionally too.

My favorite less-remembered kids' channel is probably Nicktoons Network, I liked the animation festival thing they did for a few years. I would often flip through the smaller tv channels because I would get bored of what was playing on Disney/CN/Nickelodeon.

Have you ever watched any magical girl anime? If so, which ones?

The first manga I ever read was Tokyo Mew Mew, so it has a special place in my heart. I've also seen most of original Cardcaptor Sakura, Princess Tutu, the original season of Madoka, Little Witch Academia, a bunch of og Sailor Moon, and a little bit of Alice Academy. Art-wise Sailor Moon and CCS are the ones I liked most.

Pretty much all of these were a very long time ago though, with Sailor Moon being the most recent... way back in 2022 lol 😅
