Lachlan had been having such a great day. He was taking a break from Khione’s in order to get some sun. For a child of the Goddess of snow he loved the sun and sand way more. He often wondered if that upset his mother. She never mentioned it any of the times he heard from her. He was getting ready to leave when he heard a voice he hadn’t heard in a long time. It was Leo. Lachlan wasn’t someone to outwardly dislike someone. But this was the guy who was one of the main reasons his sister left the island. His sister meant a lot to him. He looked to where Leo was looking and blinked. Shit it was a unicorn. “I mean it wouldn’t be the first thing out of place here.” Lachlan looked over at the man. He should be nice. “When did you get back?” He had heard that Leo had gone on vacation. It was a small island everyone knew everything about each other.
His eyes drifted from the winged beast to the young man beside him and all Leo could do was internally scream. He wasn’t sure what was worse: the unicorn, or the fact that he was talking to his ex-girlfriend’s baby brother. The poor kid despised him, and as far as Leo was concerned Lachlan had every reason to. That belief did not, however, make this experience any less uncomfortable or awkward. “Literally just walked off the boat,” he replied, feet shifting and eyes diverted. “My dad got released from the hospital and I had to get him settled back in Washington.” Finally, Leo looked up, this time his gaze firmly fixed on the mythical creature before him. “How long has this thing been here exactly?”
Suki had been busier than she ever would have wanted after the minotaur attack and the doors being open. The population of the isle had done from a simple manageable number to – being open to all manner of creatures. So now, not only did Suki need to know how to take care of dead humans/demi-gods but now other creatures? She was stressed to say the least. She had had well over 20 funerals in under a week and was discovering some of the creatures that came though where a bit more violent than anyone probably bargained for. She needed an outing, some time away from books, death and complications.
So she walked, she wondered the small 15mile island and just let her feet take her. Which is how she ended up near the dock and heard Leo speak. She furrowed her brow and looked to the creature he was obviously staring at and lowered her sunglasses. Suki raised a single eyebrow and shook her head, “Pegasus, no horn and wings. But close.” she said moving closer to him. “Though there are unicorns around here somewhere now.”
Leo couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the explanation. “Ah, a Pegasus. Well that’s just so much better.” He regarded the creature with disdain. Though, it seemed quite curious about him, and quirked it’s head to the side while it gazed at the irritated demigod. “So when did this happen?” Leo asked, turning to the woman at his side. He’d seen her around, but the two had never met properly. “And more importantly how did this happen?” It was probably Zeus. When things went bad, it was usually Zeus.
To someone that wasn’t used to the mystical creatures, they would be surprised when they saw them walking around the island, but to someone like him, that was already used to it, he didn’t get surprise anymore, but the first time that he saw them, he remembered how shocked he was, as he wasn’t used to it before he moved there. He had a normal life, he honestly didn’t even know he was a demigod, didn’t know he was Poseidon’s son, so he didn’t know about that world, but after some time, he stopped being surprised with every little thing.
“Yep, you’re new around?”
Leo shook his head from side to side. “No, I’ve been here for like ten years. I own Elysium.” His eyes turned from the man, to the creature before him. How it had gotten there or why were completely beyond him. When he’d left everything had been normal— well, as close to normal as things could be on Icaria. Now he was back, and it seemed that things had gone awry once again. “I was on vacation, and now I come back to a scene from Harry Potter... What the hell happened?”
The sound of Leo’s voice prompted her gaze to snap upward as she turned round to observe the sight. Anya tilted her head to the side, her eyebrows creasing. “Well, that’s the least horny unicorn I’ve ever seen. You should really consider investing in some glasses,” she suggested, a hint of a smile on her features. Her eyes glazed over him and landed on the suitcase in his grasp. “I don’t think you’ll be able to squeeze it in that suitcase if that’s what you’re planning.”
All Leo could do was sigh and shake his head. Nothing about what she’d said was helpful in any way. Of course, that wasn’t surprising in anyway— this was just how Anya was. “Horn or no horn, why the fuck is there a flying horse in front of me?” Leo asked, already exasperated. "I mean, not that it’s that astonishing. I mean, of course, while I’m gone horses with wings would just magically appear on the island.... What else happened? Is Godzilla here now? Are leprechauns destroying the town?”
Every day, Scout would find some time to take a run across the beach. The friction of the sand made it easier for her to be able to move on any type of surface, a skill the woman always figured was necessary. If she could run on sand, she could get away from anything on pavement. As she was running, she looked down to realize her bracelet had fallen off in the sand. Retracing her steps to find the piece of jewelry in question. It wasn’t much, just a piece of Noreen that she had kept through all the rough ships the woman leaving her had left behind. She was looking for the shine of metal when she heard someone’s voice. Turning towards her, Scout noticed someone sunbathing with mermaids surrounding her. “I’m sorry but I’m looking for something and I swore this was the last place I saw it.”
Cassandra briefly thought back to earlier that day, to when she’d first laid her beach blanket down and found a shiny gold bracelet laying in the sand. She wondered briefly if it belonged to this woman. Chance are, it did— but she still wouldn’t be giving it back. It was tucked safely away in her bag, and that ws where it would stay. “Oh? What was it?” Cassandra was good at playing dumb, it came with being a liar and a thief. “You want some help looking?”
Rue adored the beach and she loved the sun. She was sure the sun part was probably from being a daughter of Iris. It almost recharged her being out in it. She walk the beach or dance in the waves, depending on the day. That particular day she was taking Blue, her pet wallaby, for a walk along the beach. She stopped so Blue could dig in the sand and her eyes moved as she was spoken to. “Oh, sorry.” Rue smiled charmingly, moving so she wasn’t standing directly in front of the woman anymore.
Cassandra nodded appreciatively as the woman stepped out of the way. “Muchas gracias, chica,” she replied. The conversation would’ve ended at that, however, the creature at the woman’s side caught the brunettes eye. Cassie actually had to do a double take at the sight, simply because she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. “Dude, is that a fucking kangaroo?”
Mac was feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the creatures roaming Icaria and had to pause for a moment to take it all in, when a voice at her feet made her jump. “Oh shit, sorry dude didn’t mean to kill your vibe.” She stepped to the side so the other could get sun, but also couldn’t help but stare in awe at the mermaids next to her. “These ladies your uh… buddies?”
There was a familiarity to the woman, and it took a few moments before the face registered in her mind. “Holy crap!” Cassie scrambled to her feet, her eyes wide and a astonished grin on her lips. “You’re that chick from Paradiso!” In that instant, Cassie was starstruck. She couldn’t remember the girls name, or any of her tracks. But Cassie remembered the face, and she remembered the show. “Dude, your set was sick! I was super impressed. Uh, yeah, these are my girls—” she paused, gesturing to the gaggle of mermaids. “They’re more interesting that most of the people on this island, honestly.”
Chloe was doing her best collecting seashells, but the sea might have taken all of the really good ones. Either that or she was becoming pickier about her shell criteria. Both were strong possibilities at this point. She stood up, and surveyed the beach, wondering if she had missed a good spot. “The sun belongs to everyone, I think. Unless your father is one of those sun gods, in which case I am very, very, very sorry. But. Uh. What are you doing with the sun?”
Cassie gazed up at the young woman, her brow quirking at the words that spilled from her lips. “Honey, I’m tanning.” Palms pushed against gritty sand as the brunette pushed herself up to her feet and turned towards the girl, her cool eyes staring her down. “Are you good, babe? What’d you take?” And more importantly, Cassie wondered if she had any extra.
Cassandra Tucker lay sprawled out on the beach, bikini clad and surrounded by several mermaids smothered in tanning oil. Icaria’s newest arrival was hard at work building up a much needed base tan and getting drunk on rum and pineapple juice. That was, of course, until a cool shadow cast over her body. “Hey—” blue eyes shot up to stare at the offending party. “You’re blocking my sun.”

ABOUT
Cassie Tucker didn’t come from much. She grew up dirt poor in a trailer park, in a run down double wide where she barely had enough room to breath. She had six siblings all together - four older, and two younger. She never met her Daddy, and her Momma was always in and out of jail for drugs and robbery. Needless to say, Cassie’s early years weren’t easy or pleasant. At a young age, she learned that life wasn’t fair and that survival wasn’t easy.
She was only nine when social services finally came in and took Cassie and her siblings away. The kids were all split up among different fosters homes across the state, and to do this day, Cassie doesn’t know where they all ended up.
She never stayed in the same place for long. She was a discipline problem, and once she turned thirteen, no one could ever keep track of her. Cassie would inexplicably disappear from places, even from looked rooms. There was never any rhyme or reason to it. It was like she’d just vanish into thin air.
She was only a kid when she got involved in crime. She started small with shoplifting, petty theft, and pick pocketing. Eventually she made some friends and stepped up her game. They taught Cassie how to be a grifter, how to con anyone out of anything. Sure, she got a caught a few times for her cons and ended up in juvie once or twice, but that didn’t bother Cassie one bit. It wasn’t like they could keep hold of her for long.
At eighteen, she aged out of the system and the first thing she did was steal an amex black card and hop on a plain to Vegas. Armed with nothing but her looks, her talents, and a fake drivers license, Cassie made a killing. She went from casino to casino, stealing winnings and manipulating men into giving her whatever she wanted.
One night, she met casino owner, Maxwell Armstrong. He tried to lure her in with his charms and good looks, but Cassie didn’t fall for it. When she looked at him, she only saw dollar signs. Very big dollar signs. Cassie intended to rob him blind, but she changed her mind when she got into his club and started to get to know him. She actually liked the weird little sex dungeon, and more importantly, she liked Max. Instead of fleecing him, Cassie asked for a job.
She worked at the club as an exotic dancer for several years, and during that time she walked the mostly straight and narrow. Sure, she’d steal a wallet if someone was practically begging for it, but apart from that Cassie had given up on the criminal lifestyle. She was making good money dancing, and for the most part she was doing just fine on her own.
When he walked into her life, everything changed. He was handsome and interesting, rich, and best of all he wasn’t all bullshit like other guys. He was genuine, and Cassie loved that about him. Everyone told her to stay away from him - that he was cartel, that he was dangerous. But Cassie wasn’t known to make good choices, and so after she fell for him hard and fast, she ran off with him.
Time passed by in a blur from there. Cassie and her lover lived a life of luxury and excess. They existed atop beautiful yachts or inside towering mansions, accompanied by bodyguards and money and cocaine. However, there was a darker side to their relationship, one that Cassie liked to pretend didn’t exist. Every now and then he’d come to her and tell her that he needed her, and Cassie would do whatever he asked. Sometimes he’d need her to steal something for him, sometimes he’d need her to take someone out without causing any kind of fuss. Cassie always did what she was told, and no matter how fucked up it was, she never questioned it. After all, she was in love.
A better person would’ve left years ago, but Cassie has never been very good. The truth is, she only left recently, and it wasn’t for any great or noble reason. One night she snuck into surprise her lover, and she found him fucking some Portuguese girl in their bed. Needless to say, Cassie was pissed. So, she went into his safe and grabbed all of his most valuable possessions, and then she booked it as fast as she could.
That was about six months ago and Cassie has been hopping from place to place every since then. She's been travelling all across Europe, squatting in luxury vacation homes and living off of what she can steal. She can never fully relax, though. Her former lover is looking for her, and he’s getting closer and closer.
She’d never heard of Icaria until one day an idiot wearing winged shoes visited her. It was really no surprise when he told her that he was her Dad. Max had already spilled the beans that she was some kind of demigod, and the question was only who had spawned her. What was a surprise, however, is that he offered her a place to escape to. An island, where no one would be able to find her. Cassie, always eager to take the easy way out, was quick to jump at the offer. That was one week ago, and Cassie is now living on the island, happily avoiding her problems.

Things in Icaria were messy to say the least. Pegasi were running through the streets, and riotous satyrs had run amok at Elyisum. Most of the residents seemed to have already grown accustomed to such chaos, but Leo had been away for some time. The insanity that had taken hold of the island was all new to him, and he was dealing with it was best he could. It was all an incredibly stressful situation, but he was telling himself it would all be alright. He just had to manage.
The first thing he did when he arrived was check in with his little sister, who thankfully seemed well enough and completely unfazed by the creatures. Next, he’d visited the bar, which was in complete disarray. Once that was done, Leo arrived at the final thing on his mental to-do list: visiting Lyra. Undoubtedly, it was the most nerve wracking thing he had to do, and that was exactly why he’d saved it for last.
As he approached the door to her classroom, his heart started to pound in his chest. He hadn’t seen her in weeks— not since the night of the auction, where he’d won an evening out with her. Leo had no idea how she’d react to seeing him, or even how she was doing in general. They’d had their little heart to heart and seemingly had patched things up before, but Leo still worried that the situation might be different now. Maybe she’d changed her mind, or maybe she’d think he’d crossed a line. He wasn’t sure how she felt about him and it made him anxious.
He peered in through the open door, hazel eyes flitting about until they landed on the figure of the woman. Gazing at her, he cleared his throat, trying to draw her attention.
“Hey. You got a minute?”
Leo had been away for some time, and while he was gone he’d actually missed Icaria. Considering how much he complained about the island, it was surprising that even a small part of him had longed for his return. Escaping his home, even for a brief time, had been something he’d looked forward to for a long time. However, once he’d left, he’d found himself reminiscing on the place and it’s various inhabitant. He’d actually been excited for this day - the day when his boat docked, and he was able to step foot on the divine paradise once again.
Bright eyed and optimistic of what was to come, the young demigod stepped off ferry and began to venture into the town square, his suitcase in hand. He lovingly gazed at the clear blue waters that surrounded him, the cobblestone streets that paved his way, and the lush green hills that rolled on endlessly before him. His lips curled into a rare smile at the sight of such beauty.. That was until he laid eyes on something that he had never seen before, and Leo found himself stopping dead in his tracks as he gazed up at what had crossed his path.
he’s never been one to dote over woman , to him there we’re plenty to see and touch so why stick with one person . yet ophelia and himself were —— well there wasn’t an exact name for what him and ophelia were . in public they despised each other but in the comfort of his bedroom , things were quite different . opening the door to his house he sees the femme and let a smirk taint his features ❛ I’m hoping there is not clothes under that trench coat . or are you here just to be a tease ? ❜

Ophelia regarded Hayden coolly, her brown eyes narrowed and a disgusted look upon her face. By all standards, he was a cretin. A disgusting pig of a man, who wasn’t worth the breath the gods had given him. The only reason she even wasted her time in his presence was because what was in his pants was impressive and he was generous with his tongue. Those were two things that Ophelia wasn’t quick to pass up, no matter how much she wanted to punch him. Though, that wasn’t why she was there today. “No, you walking pustule, it’s Armani.” For good measure, Ophelia unwrapped the coat, revealing a coral fit and flare number that was far from seductive. “I’m here for the money you owe for the auction so keep it in your pants.”
“Oh? And what were you doing while the town was under siege by the big bad beastie, hmm?” Ivy asked curiously, looking Nate up and down to confirm he hand’t gotten any war wounds on him. Ivy chuckled at his next response, playfully placing her hand on her heart, “ Awwee, I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve said to literally anyone ever,” she teased, mocking awe. “Chaotic pixie from the depths of hell actually isn’t too far off, considering who mommy dearest is,” she spoke with a shrug. “So how is my favorite little horny brute? That stick up your ass nice and tight today?”
“Oh, just a quiet night in,” he told her, lying through his teeth just for the sake of it. That night had been anything but quiet. It had involved an evening at Phyrne, and he could recall memories of cocaine, grey goose, and a woman who’s name had been lost on him. It had all been quite sordid and exciting, and thankfully, far out of the reach of the Minotaur. “I'm glad you approve, my demonic little Tinker Bell- and I’m doing well. It’s been a slow day. Mostly grading papers and answering stupid questions.” Nathaniel folded up the newspaper that he held, his full attention on the woman before him. “How are you? Did you steal any souls on that trip of yours? Devour any babies?’
Weston raised a single eyebrow his head tilting just slightly “It was quite nasty” he said “Killed quite a few people” he said not letting his anger show. “As for riding it. I doubt they did it willingly”
With this one, Nathaniel wasn’t sure if he’d struck a nerve or not. But truthfully, he didn’t care either way. “Ah, a missed opportunity then. Shame about all of those people, though. I’ve heard the body count was... catastrophic, I suppose.” He paused, his flickering up to eat the other man’s. “Were you there?”
