OH SHITT CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT PARTTđ IS IT GONNA BE HEEJAY TURN TO FUCK HER??UGH CANT WAIT
PERHAPS đđđđ
WOW THE FIC YOU JUST POSTED IS SO INTERESTINGG AND CAN I KNOW MORE DETAILS WHAT IS IT ABOUT?? ALSO IM A HUGE FAN OF REVERSE HAREM GENRE AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT PARTT
AHHH im glad you like it :') the idea of this fic is like an office rivalry where ot7 are used to having control of who steps into their office, hating the idea of sharing their space with anyone until they come across y/n and eventually all of them fall victim to their desires failing to take control like they usually do, theres going to be some breaks in their bond, insane jealousy and possessiveness whilst also trying to take control back of their workplace tbh i dont have a completely clear vision yet but with each part hopefully it'll all make sense!!!
i just posted part two, trust ill write some smut in p3, i didnt want to rush through the storyline HAHA
No exit to this daytime thirst It's just instinct, all I want is you no doubt
part two (this isnt proof read, pls ignore any mistakes!)
It felt like they were in there for hours, Jake and Sunghoon having their fill with her, not that she was against that. God knows how much time passed in that bathroom, Y/N looked at them, Sunghoon was putting his suit back on, standing next to the small window that was cracked open slightly, smoking a cigarette. Jake was at the sink, washing his face and fixing his hair, making himself look presentable. And Y/N? Sat on the cold floor, legs still trembling from how good they fucked her. She slowly got up, face full of... guilt? Shame? She couldnât pin the feeling. Y/N pulled her blouse back into place with shaky hands. The silence felt strange. Awkward after everything that just happened. No one knew what to say. For the first time all afternoon, the reality was beginning to settle back in.
The office. The job. The consequences. A week ago, she was worrying about project deadlines. Now she couldnât look at either of them.
Sunghoon cleared his throat, turning to face her, still nursing the cigarette.
SH: âSo-â
Before he could finish, she cut him off, the sound grinding after everything they did.
âThis never happened.â She states, her tone back to the same, 'up-tight' persona she always carried. Sharp. Quick.
Jake let out a bark of laughter, turning to face her too.
JK: âNever happened? Listen, Y/N. We just had a threesome. Thatâs not something you forget.â
He said, seeming to be offended by her attitude.
JK: âWe were in the bathroom for nearly two hours. And now youâre saying it never happened?â
The smile was wiped off his face. He wasnât angry. But almost... bewildered?
Y/N grabbed her blazer, reiterating it was a mistake. The bathroom was quiet. Sunghoon finally looked at her. A mistake? Interesting choice of words.
Y/N looked between them.
âI said what I said. This didnât happen.â
And with that, she left the bathroom, hurried steps back towards the office, like creating distance would somehow fix what she had just done.
She checked her phone, it had been an hour and a half. Every step back to the office felt heavier. It gave her more time to think. And thinking meant remembering. Her stomach twisted.
âGet a grip.â She muttered to herself, wiping the beading sweat on her forehead. It happened. It was a mistake. Its over. Move on. Simple, right? Wrong.
The moment she got into the office, she immediately felt eyes on her. Heeseung looked up from his phone. Jay glanced up from his monitor. Both of them paused, noticing. Observing the way she looked away instantaneously, face burning with shame. Like they could see right through her. Like they knew exactly what she did. Of course they didnât, but with a guilt-ridden mind, nothing made sense to her.
Jayâs eyebrow lifted slightly. Interesting. Very interesting. Heeseungâs gaze drifted towards the hallway. Then at the empty desks. Jakeâs desk. Sunghoonâs desk. Then back at Y/N. A slow grin appeared. Not because he knew. But because he suspected. And Heeseung hated not knowing things. Jay noticed the look.
JY: âWhat?â
Heeseung shrugged.
HS: âNothing.â
Which meant there was definitely something. Across the room, Y/N sat at her desk, opening the nearest spreadsheet. Her screen blurred almost instantly. Not because of the work, but because she could feel them looking. Not Jake. Not Sunghoon. The others. Watching. Trying to solve her like a puzzle. And for the first time since joining Syntrinx, she felt genuinely nervous. Not about deadlines. Not about her performance. Not about keeping her job.
About secrets.
Because if there was one thing she had learned about the seven of them, it was that they noticed everything. And she had just given them something that was worth noticing.
[[ the next morning..]]
Y/N arrived 20 minutes early. Not because she wanted to. But because she needed time to prepare herself mentally to act like nothing happened. The entire train ride had been spent staring out the window, trying â and failing not to think about yesterday. She had come to one definite conclusion. It was a mistake. A one-off mistake. And it would never happen again. Satisfied with her decision, she sat down at her desk and opened her laptop.
Work. It was familiar. Made sense. Didnât leave her questioning her sanity. For almost a half hour, she managed to focus. Then Jake walked in. She immediately regretted coming to work. He looked completely normal. Perfectly styled hair. Perfectly ironed shirt. Coffee in hand. Not a single sign that anything unusual happened yesterday. The audacity.
Jake spotted her almost immediately. Their eyes met. He smiled. Not a big smile. Just enough to grind her gears. Then-
JK: âMorning.â He said, almost lazily.
She stared at him. How dare he?
Y/N: âMorning..â
And just like that, he walked away. No awkwardness. No tension. No mention of yesterday. Nothing. Which somehow irritated her even more.
Sunghoon arrived 10 minutes later. Unlike Jake, he didnât greet her. He simply walked past her desk. Their eyes met briefly. But he continued walking. That shouldâve been easier. But it wasnât.
By 9âoclock, everyone had arrived. And suddenly, Y/N remembered her biggest problem. It wasnât Jake or Sunghoon. The others. The office felt different today. Not noticeably. Just enough. Like everyone had information she wished they didnât have. The first weird moment happened before lunch. Jake interrupted her presentation. Normally, sheâd argue back immediately. Today, she hesitated. Just for a second. A tiny pause, barely noticeable. Unfortunately for her, Jay noticed everything. His gaze flickered between them. Interesting.
Then, at lunch Y/N entered the break room. The seven were already there. Wonderful. Immediately, she turned around.
Y/N: âNo.â
âWhat?â Ni-ki called after her.
Y/N: âNo.â
NK: âYou donât even know what weâre saying.â
Y/N: âI donât need to.â
Laughter followed her out. Except one person wasnât laughing. Sunghoon was watching Jake. And Jake? Watching her leave. That was enough for Sunghoon to know he had competiton.
Later that afternoon, Y/N was buried in work when a notification appeared. Jake. She immediately considered throwing her computer out the window. Instead, she opened it.
âStill pretending yesterday didnât happen?â
She stared at the screen. Another reply appeared instantly.
âGood luck with that.â
Her fingers hovered over the keyboard, trembling slightly. Then she closed the chat. She wasnât doing this. Not at work. Not ever. Then another message appeared.
âThatâs rude.â
She refused to look at it.
Ten seconds later.
âYoure reading these.â
..
âI know you are.â
âŚ
âIm getting ignored.â
Finally, she typed back.
âHave you ever considered working?â
He replied immediately.
âEver considered minding your business?â
She hated herself. Because she laughed. A small one. Barely noticeable. Unfortunately, Heeseung noticed. He glanced up from his monitor, eyes narrowed slightly. Because for the first time since she started here, heâd just seen her smile at her computer. And whatever sheâd read? She was trying too hard to hide it. By mid-afternoon, Heeseung had stopped working. Not visibly. But his focus had shifted entirely. From his screen to them. Jake. Sunghoon. And her. There was a pattern forming in his brain. He just didnât have all the pieces yet.
Jay noticed first. Because Jay always noticed when Heeseung got like this.
âYouâre doing it again.â He muttered, without looking up.
Still nothing.
He finally glanced at Heeseung.
âWho is it this time?â
Heeseung leaned back slightly in his chair.
HS: âJake.â
Jay paused. That got his attention.
JY: âWhy?â
HS: âHeâs.. off.â
Jay scoffed lightly.
JY: âJakeâs always off.â
HS: âThis is different.â
That made Jay finally turn properly. Heeseungs expression didnât change. But his eyes did. They were focused. Calculating. Jay followed his gaze across the office. Jake was typing. Too casual. Too relaxed. Like nothing mattered; like he wasnât thinking about anything at all. Which, for jake, was suspicious on its own. Jay narrowed his eyes.
JY: â..Hes been like that all day.â
HS: âI know.â
HS: âAnd Sunghoonâs worse.â
Jay glanced at Sunghoonâs desk. But his posture was off. More still than usual. Less present, mind somewhere else. Jay leaned back.
JY: âAlright. So what exactly are you thinking?â
Heeseung paused.
âSomething happened.â
Jay exhaled through his nose.
JY: âI can deduct that much. Give me a proper answer.â
HS: âItâs the most logical one I have now.â
A beat of silence. Then Jay spoke again. He nodded subtly towards her desk.
JY: âSheâs involved.â
Heeseung didnât confirm it. But he didnât deny it either. And that was enough for Jay. He smirked faintly.
JY: âYou arenât thinking they did something stupid, are you?â
Heeseungs gaze didnât move.
HS: âIm thinking they already did.â
That wiped the smirk clean off Jayâs face. For a second. Then it came back.
JY: âInteresting..â
Later.. Rooftop.
They didnât even need to say where they were going. They both just left. No explanation. No warning. The door shut behind them with a click. Wind hit immediately. Cold. Clear. Better to think, to make sense of things. Jay lit a cigarette, watching the city below. Heeseung leaned on the railing beside him. For a while, they both didnât speak. Then Jay broke the silence.
JY: âSo, whatâs your theory?â
Heeseung didnât look at him.
HS: âJakeâs been messaging someone all day.â
Jay slowly exhaled the smoke.
JY: âThatâs not unusual.â
HS: âIt is when heâs being too careful.â
Jay paused.
JY: âCareful how?â
HS: âHeâs hiding it. From everyone.â
JY: âAnd Sunghoon?â
HS: âHeâs been watching.â
JY: âWatching what?â
Heeseung hesitated for a second.
HS: âJake.â
Jay let out a low breath.
JY: âSo itâs them.â
HS: âIt could be nothing.â Heeseung added immediately.
But they both knew that neither of them believed it. Jay leaned his elbows against the railing.
JY: âSo, what did they do?â
Heeseung didnât answer straight away, because that was the problem. For once, he didnât have a clear answer. Just fragments. Behaviour shifts. Missing contexts. And Y/N, who somehow was the centre of it all without saying a word.
HS: âWhatever it is, started recently.â
JY: âAnd your certain you arenât imagining it?â still in disbelief at this sudden change in Jake and Sunghoon's behaviour to their once sworn mortal enemy.
HS: âIf it was just one of them, sure. But its all three.â
Jay looked deep in thought. Because none of them were acting the way they usually did. Not enough for anyone else to notice. But enough for them.
JY: âNow what?â
HS: âNothing.â
JY: âNothing?â
HS: âI want to see how it plays out.â
Because they both knew, eventually someone will slip. And when one of the three did? Theyâd finally figure out what exactly happened between them. Over the week, Jay and Heeseung kept close tabs on the three. They noticed everything down to the way Jake was less cocky around her. The way Sunghoon smiled at her back when he thought no one was looking. The way Y/N kept drifting back to their side of the office under the guise of "work-related problems."
Monday morning arrived quicker than expected. But it didnât feel normal today. Of course, since the incident, it hasnât been normal. But that was between Y/N, Jake and Sunghoon. But this? It was different. It was like the room had changed temperature. Like she was being watched. She sat down at her desk early again. Same routine, same setup. Same attempt at pretending nothing was different. But it didnât work as well today, because Jake arrived later than usual. And when he did, he didnât look at her immediately. That was new. And she hated how much she noticed.
Across the office, Jay noticed something else entirely. Jake wasnât avoiding her. He was timing her. Every movement, reaction, like he was waiting for something. That alone was enough to make Jay sit up straighter. He leaned slightly towards Heeseung.
JY: âFuck, something definitely happened.â he laughed in disbelief and excitement at this new discovery.
Heeseung didnât look up.
HS: âI know.â
Jay knew that was different from something just 'happening'. Jake was officially invested in her. Mid morning, Jay wanted to test it. Not directly, that would be too obvious. Instead, he walked past Jakeâs desk, dropping a simple line without stopping.
JY: âDistracted today?â
Jake didnât even look up.
JK: âIm working.â
Jay slowed slighty.
JY: âThat wasnât the question.â
Jake paused, then glanced at him. Calm. Way too calm.
JK: âIm fine.â
Jay nodded once. But he didnât leave immediately. Because Jake answered perfectly; too perfectly. And Jay knew well enough not to trust perfection, especially not from someone like Jake.
Y/Nâs phone buzzed across the room. She didnât reach for it straight away this time, that was already a mistake. Because Jake noticed last time. And Sunghoon noticed Jake noticing. And Heeseung noticed both of them noticing her hesitation. There was too many layers, too many reactions, and none of them were matching.
Y/N finally checked her phone under her desk. One message.
JK: âDonât ignore me today.â
Her throat tightened slightly, locking the screen immediately. But she was too late, because when she looked up? Sunghoon was already watching her. Not smiling, not teasing, just watching. Like he stopped pretending it was normal.
By lunchtime, Jay had seen enough. He didnât wait this time, speaking to Heeseung directly.
JY: âSomeones going to break.â
Heeseung looked at him.
HS: âThatâs the point.â
Jay frowned.
JY: âWhat is?â
Heeseung eyes scanned over the office. Jake. Sunghoon. Y/N. Jake, looking like he was trying too hard to hide something. Sunghoon, looked less stoic and more.. irritated. And Y/N? Sheâs looked flustered all day.
HS: "My bets are on Sunghoon."
Back in the office..
The email came through after lunch. Short. Official. Unavoidable. She read it time and time again.
âProject restructuring. Temporary reassignment effective immediately.â
This wasnât normal. Not for Syntrinx. Especially not mid-project. The email was sent to Jake and Sunghoon too. But Jake wasnât looking at the email. He was looking at her. Her reaction. The way she paused, holding her breath too carefully. He leaned back in his chair, watching. Sunghoon was quick to notice too. Not her face, but the way she straightened, then went still.
She stood up before she could overthink it, striding straight towards the meeting room. Heeseung was already in there, Jay sat beside him. Neither of them looked surprised to see her.
âThis isnât right.â She said immediately.
Jay tilted his head slightly, trying not to look amused.
âMorning to you too.â
She ignored that.
âI wasnât informed about a change.â
Heeseung slid a folder towards her.
âYou were.â
She didnât touch the folder.
âI didnât agree to it.â
âYou donât need to.â Jay replied, the look on his face showing⌠satisfaction at this drama.
That made her pause for a second.
Heeseung finally looked at her properly.
âYour workload hasnât changed. Youâve been reassigned coordination.â
He paused.
âBetween us.â
The room was silent. She exhaled slowly.
âSo Iâm not working with them anymore.â
Not a question. And she hated that she said it out loud. Jay exchanged a brief glance with Heeseung, then shrugged slightly.
JY: âDepends how you define âwithâ.â
It was unnecessary. But intentional, like he was purposely trying to hint that he knew something.
Heeseung cut in before it could land too hard.
HS: âYouâll be coming to us for updates. Not there.â
He paused.
HS;â Less.. interference.â
She looked at the folder. Then back up. And just like that, she agreed. Like she was already decided when she walked in. It was like a slap to her face, of just how much this whole predicament had made her lose track of her goal; keeping her damn job.
Jake watched as she returned to her desk. He noticed how she didnât look back this time, not once. Sunghoon noticed too. For the first time since the incident, Jake and Sunghoon werenât the centre of her movement.
Since that day, Y/N didnât go to Jakeâs side of the office. Didnât linger near Sunghoonâs desk. Instead, she went straight to the meeting room. She wasnât avoiding them anymore; she just wasnât looking for them. That was new. And every time she left the meeting room, something shifted. Jay and Heeseung noticed it immediately, especially after observing the situation for a while. They werenât intentionally trying to drive a wedge between the three, but they both noticed something now. The lack of interruptions, the absence of her usual resistance. Â Maybe theyâd never know what exactly happened, but the pattern was obvious enough to sit between them without needing an explanation. Whatever happened, they dynamic changed.
[[ 2 weeks later.. ]]
The office was loud before she arrived. Jake was mid-conversation at his desk, not working, talking. Sunghoon stood nearby, just watching her come in like he always did. She saw them. And kept walking without hesitation, without glancing back. Jakes sentence cut off halfway through a laugh, Sunghoonâs eyes narrowing slightly. This was starting to irritate both of them, because she wasnât avoiding anymore. She was pretending they didnât exist.
Their eyes followed her as she walked straight to the meeting room instead of her desk. Jay was already there, not surprised. He slid a document towards her,
âYouâre late.â
She frowned. âIâm not.â
Heeseung didnât look up from his laptop.
âEven after ignoring the rest of the room, you still showed up late.â He said flatly.
She paused, his sentence making her stomach turn.
After her briefing, she returned to her desk. Jake had just about had enough, not liking this sudden shift in her attention. He leaned slightly on her desk.
JK: âBusy again?â
Y/N didnât even bother looking up, replying flatly.
âMm.â
Sunghoon watched from a distance, deep in thought. He was confused. Just two weeks ago, she was nervous around them, avoiding the two and failing with every glance she took, her cheeks always a faint shade of pink. And now.. nothing. It didnât make sense to him.
Jake eventually returned to his seat, but it didnât take long for him to approach her again. He caught her just outside the meeting room corridor, stepping into her path with the same ease he always has, his tone slightly sharper this time.
âYouâre avoiding me.â
She didnât stop walking.
YN: âIâm working.â
JK: âThatâs not an answer.â
She finally looked at him.
âIâm busy,â she repeated.
Jake stepped closer, lowering his voice.
âYou werenât busy that day in the bathroom.â
That landed differently than he had expected, his tone snarky. He was definitely expecting a reaction from her this time. But her expression didnât change, only small shift in her posture.
From the end of the corridor, Heeseung was watching. He wasnât reacting, just observing. Jay stood beside him, hands in his pockets.
âHeâs pushing it,â Jay muttered.
âHe always does,â Heeseung replied.
âThatâs not the point.â
Heeseungâs eyes didnât leave Jake.
âThe point is whether she reacts.â
Down the corridor, Jake reached out, not quite grabbing her, just closing the space. He was too familiar. Too confident. And that was where she finally reacted. Y/N stepped back immediately.
âDonât,â she said.
Jake froze for half a second like he hadnât expected her to resist that quickly. Sunghoon appeared behind him a moment later, having seen the entire interaction. And for the first time, neither of them looked in control of the situation. Not of her. And she turned away before either of them could open their mouth.
Back in the meeting room later that day, Jay shut the door behind her. He didnât sit immediately. Instead, he leaned against the table, watching her carefully. âLovers quarrel?â he said, almost laughing. Like he wanted her to know that him and Heeseung heard everything. Her eyes narrowed slightly.
âExcuse me?â
Heeseung finally looked at her properly.
âIs he wrong?â he said.
Silence settled.
Outside the room, Jake stood still for a moment after watching her walk away again. Sunghoon exhaled slowly beside him. âSheâs not playing along anymore,â he said, shoving his hands in his pocket. Jake didnât answer immediately.
âEver since she started spending time with Heeseung and Jay, sheâs been weird. Cold. I don't fucking like it.â
All Sunghoon could do was hum in agreement. They both knew that neither of them could do anything about it.

part one
Syntrinx was one of the largest companies in Seoul, renowned for its amazing technology, and a very prestigious company. Landing a job there was like winning the lottery; youâd be set for life.
[[Monday, 08:00am, 2025]]
The 7 of them huddled around the coffee machine, whispering amongst themselves.
HS: âWe need to get rid of him. I donât care how but get rid of him.â his fists clenched tightly around the cup
Sunoo: âAny ideas?â he asks, nursing the steaming coffee
Jake, hesitant, but clearly with ideas, finally speaks.
Jake: âWhat if we just.. stop? Donât give him any work, stop briefing him on tasks. Ice him out.â
The other 6 pause, looking at him with varying expressions      Â
Jay: âWhat, like get him fired by forcing him to be incompetent? I like it.â
he says, a smirk that doesnât reach his eyes creeping up on his face
By the time the new year rolled around, the 20th new hire had also been fired due to incompetence. The 7 of them took advantage of how strict the higher-ups were, using it to their advantage. Theres one thing they hate more than a new person. Sharing their space. So naturally, any newcomers were gone within the month.
[[ 2026, the beginning of the first quarter. ]]
Jungwon and Ni-ki get to the office, holding an envelope.
Ni-ki: âGood news guys. We officially have another new hire. Sheâs pretty too.â
Both him and Jungwon look disgustingly excited, clearly having opened the resume beforehand.
Sunghoon approaches them with long strides, taking the envelope from Ni-ki. He opens it, scanning the documents inside.
Name: Y/N
Age: 20
A small photo attached of her face in the corner. Y/N was in fact pretty. And a foreigner? Even better. No allies, new city, new company.
Sunghoon lets out a sharp laugh, like he found treasure.
Sunghoon: âTwenty-one.â
The others immediately understood, another target.
They pass around the resume, all sharing the same look. Excitement.
Jay: âSheâs starting tomorrow?â
Heeseung: âMm. She is.â
They all laugh together, the sound grating to outsiders.
[[Meanwhile, somewhere in Seoul..]]
The apartment was far from luxury. A boarding house, the size of Y/Nâs bathroom back home. Regardless, she was grateful to have the opportunity to move here finally.
The hum of the refrigerator and the occasional traffic drifted in through the window.
Y/N sat on the floor, laptop glowing in front of her. On her bed, a freshly ironed outfit for her first day tomorrow, a notebook with meticulous plans, and finally, the copy of her employment contract. She re-read the contract time and time again, squealing in excitement.
âSyntrinxâ. Y/N repeated, making the name sound natural rolling off her tongue. A smile spread across her face. She couldnât believe it. Getting a job in a new country hadnât been easy for her. Being a foreigner meant every interview felt twice as hard. Some companies rejected her before she could even begin to present herself. Others praised her qualifications yet chose someone else.
Her inbox was filled with emails of rejection, all sounding the same.
 âUnfortunately..â
âWe wish you the best..â
âWe have decided..â
She stopped counting a long time ago. Until she came across Syntrinx. They were different. She could tell they cared about results. Experience. Qualifications. Things she could do.
A pleased grin spread across her face, she leaned back, staring at the ceiling. Tommorow, she was officially starting to show for her hard work. A real career. A future. No more pot noodles and dreading the monthly bill for the boarding house. Freedom.
Her phone buzzed, lighting up the room. Her mother.
âTake it easy on your first day.â
Y/N laughed to herself, knowing she was going to do everything but take it easy. She was going to arrive 30 minutes early. Nothing would ruin this opportunity. Not impossible workloads, not difficult coworkers, not long hours, nothing. She hadnât moved halfway across the world, faced dozens of rejections, just to âtake it easyâ.
Whatever Syntrinx threw at her, sheâd make sure to handle it. Tomorrow would officially be here first day. And she was going to make sure it wasnât her last.
[[ Tuesday, 07:30am.]]
Y/N arrived at the company 30 minutes before her shift as promised. The building was intimidatingly large, the logo printed massively on the side. She walks in, security posted on the side, the insides lavish. She confidently strode to the front desk.
The receptionist smiled.
âYouâre early.â
Y/N smiled back.
âI know.â
After pleasantries were exchanged, she was escorted up to her department. It was the 16th  floor. The elevator let out a pleasant hum, the doors sliding open. However, the moment the doors open, seven pairs of eyes landed on her. The silence was deafening.
Y/N resisted the urge to make a face. The air was strange. Uncomfortable. Like she interrupted something. The group of guys started openly. Not subtle glances. Actually staring. Like they were picking her apart with their eyes with no shame. Sheâd dealt with it before. As a foreigner, she tended to attract attention. But still, a little professionalism wouldnât hurt.
The woman next to her finally spoke up, clearing her throat.
âEveryone, this is Y/N. Sheâll be joining your team starting today.â
Silence. The 7 simply just.. looked.
The woman started looking mildly irritated at their reaction. Or rather, lack of.
âWell?â
Jungwon was first to speak, plastering a bright smile on his face.
âRight.â he laughed âSorry.â
He didnât look sorry at all.
Y/Nâs eyes scanned the room.
One of them, Sunghoon was openly studying her like a puzzle. Another looked amused. One, disappointed, and one far too excited.
This was weird. Very weird.
âNice to meet you all.â
Y/N bowed politely. The seven exchanged quick glances.
Heeseung leaned back in his chair. âNice to meet you too.â
His smile didnât reach his eyes.
Y/N already knew to be careful around him. He screamed trouble.
The manager clapped her hands.
âPerfect. Heeseung? Youâll be training her.â
The smile dropped off his face so fast, the manager already walking away before he could object.
The office fell into that same silence again. Y/N took her own initiative and approached him.
She stood in front of him, staring. He stared right back. Y/N already had enough of this weird energy, finally speaking.
âWell?â
HS: âWell, what?â
Y/N: âArenât you training me?â
The rest of them immediately looked away, trying not laugh. And failing.        Â
Heeseung was caught off guard. He was used to the new hires cowering. Too afraid to speak.
Y/N glanced at the clock on the wall.
âWell? Are you planning on training me through telepathy?â
Jake nearly choked on his coffee. The group looked genuinely surprised. Probably the most emotive theyâd looked since Y/N walked in.
Heeseung stood slowly, his chair rolling back into his desk.
A sickly smile grew on his face.
âYouâre going to be interesting.â
Y/N picked up her bag. âI get that a lot.â
The 7 of them shared a look, identical. This wasnât going to be an easy cookie to crack.
The rest of the morning was a disaster. Or atleast, thatâs what the 7 intended.
Heeseung dumped a stack of documents onto her desk.
âRead these.â
She glanced at the pile. There had to be hundreds of pages.
âAll of them?â She asked, slightly baffled by this idiotic request.
âYes.â He responded, voice clipped.
âPreferably before lunch.â He added, tone almost mocking.
She stared at him. Her jaw was clenched and a small smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth.
An hour later, he returned.
âFinished?â
âNo.â
âToo hard?â
âNo.â
He frowned slightly, glancing at the others. Y/N kept typing.
The next assignment was even worse. 3 separate projects. A software she had never used before. Instructions that were just filler words and completely useless. Whenever she asked Heeseung for guidance, he gave the shortest answers humanly possible.
âWhere can I find client files?â
âServer.â
âWhich folder?â
âClient folder.â
She muttered under her breath, âVery helpful.â
A sarcastic remark.
He heard. He didnât say anything, just smirked to himself.
By lunchtime, her head was aching. By 3, she wanted to destroy the monitor. By 5, she miraculously completed everything heâd given her. When Heeseung returned to her desk, he expected frustration. Tears. Or even a complaint. His eyes narrowed.
âFinished?â
She looked up.
âMost.â
âMost?â
âIm just double checking some things.â
He stared for a second, baffled. He noticed the notebook. Pages filled with handwriting. Explanations, Questions, solutions. She had practically made her own training manual.
Annoying. So fucking annoying.
âAnything else?â She asked.
âNo.â
âGood.â She kept working.
She just dismissed him?
Heeseung never wanted to throw a stapler at someone more.
[[ Midday, Lunch break. ]]
The rooftop has become unofficially theirs years ago. No managers. No interns. No interruptions.
A cigarette glowed in Sunghoonâs slender fingers. Jake leaned against the railing. Jungwon sat on a ventilation unit. The rest scattered around the rooftop. For a while, they were quiet.
Then-
HS: âSheâs so fucking annoying.â
Heeseungâs sudden declaration was met with laughter.
Ni-ki: âYouâve known her six hours.â
HS: âIve known her long enough.â
Sunoo: âHow did she do with the stack of documents?â
HS: âFinished it.â
Jay: âThe software?â
HS: âFinished it.â
Jungwon: âThe client database?â
âFinished it.â
The laughter stopped. Jake frowned. âAre you serious?â
Heeseung nodded, frustration all over his face.
âShe made notes.â
They collectively groaned.
âGreat. Shes one of the those.â Ni-ki said, dragging a hand down his face.
âOne of what?â Jake asked.
âCompetent ones.â
No one liked competent ones. They stayed longer. Created problems. Fought back.
Sunghoon exhaled smoke into the air. âSo, whats the plan?â
The group fell silent. 20 people. 20 successful removals. The process was usually simple. Exclude, ignore, and make them work like dogs, make management think theyâre incapable. They eventually left. But something was different this time. Y/N was never intimidated. Not a single time.
Jungwon sighed, irritation obvious. âI donât think sheâll quit easily.â
Heeseung agreed, a slow smile spreading across his face.
âItâll be more interesting.â
They exchanged knowing glances. And far below them, Y/N was slaving away at her desk, unaware of the discussion taking place above her. Twenty-one. Their newest target. And for the first time in a long time, a challenge.
Two weeks. Two entire weeks.
Twenty previous hires had never lasted this long.
Yet somehow, Y/N was still here.
Still arriving early. Still leaving late. Still smiling.
The printer jammed? She fixed it.
A client complained? She handled it.
Someone âaccidentlyâ forgot to include her in an important email chain?
She found the information herself. It was infuriating.
Heeseung slammed a folder onto the conference room table.
âI canât do this anymore.â Nobody disagreed. Around the room sat six equally irritated men. Sunoo was exhausted. Jay was rubbing his temples. Jake had developed the habit of glaring at Y/N from across the office whenever she solved a problem. The worst part? Management loved her. Yesterday alone, she received praise from three different department heads.
âDo you know what she did this morning?â Jungwon asked.
Nobody answered.
âShe thanked me.â
The room feel silent.
Jungwon looked genuinely offended.
âI ignored her for two weeks.â
âAnd?â Ni-ki asked.
âAnd she thanked me for helping her.â
âYou didnât help her.â
âI know.â
Sunghoon let out a long sigh.
âEverything we do backfires.â
Because it was true. The isolation didnât work. The impossible workloads didnât work. The lack of support didnât work. The constant inconveniences didnât work. If anything, she seemed more determined every day. Heeseung dropped into his chair.
âSheâs stubborn.â
âNo.â Jay corrected.
âSheâs fucking crazy.â
âSame thing.â
âNo, thereâs a difference.â
Another silence settled over the room. For the first time in years, they had no plan. No obvious weakness. No easy to push someone out. Then Sunoo spoke.
âWhat if weâre approaching this wrong?â
The room turned towards him.
âWhat do you mean?â Jake asked.
Sunoo leaned back.
âWeâve been treating her like every other hire.â
âBecause she is.â
âNo.â
His expression darkened slightly.
âNo she isnât.â
The room slowly quieted. Because deep down, they all knew he was right. Every previous employee had cracked under pressure. Y/N hadnât. Every previous employee had eventually left. Y/N looked like sheâd chain herself to her desk before quitting.
âSo what?â Heeseung asked.
Sunoo hesitated.
Then-
âWe stop treating her like an employee.â
The room went still. No one laughed. No one made a joke. Because they immediately understood what he meant. A dangerous grin slowly appeared on Jayâs face.
âThatâs a terrible idea.â
âIt is.â
âAnd weâre all thinking it.â
Jungwon groaned loudly.
âThis is going to end badly.â
âProbably.â
âFor who?â
No one answered. Across the office, completely unaware of the discussion taking place behind closed doors, Y/N sat at her desk. Focused. Determined. Typing away at her computer. Completely oblivious to the fact that after two weeks of failure, the seven had finally decided to change tactics. And for the first time sheâd arrived at Syntrinx, that might actually be a problem.
The change started on Monday. At first, Y/N thought she was imagining it. A chair placed just slightly too close to hers. A hand lingering on her desk while she worked. Someone leaning over her shoulder despite there being plenty of room. Small things. Annoying things. Things that couldnât be reported. By Wednesday, she knew it wasnât an accident. Y/N was carrying a stack of folders through the office when someone brushed past her. A sharp sting snapped against her shoulder. Her entire body froze. Her bra strap beneath her blouse had been pulled and snapped. The sound echoed in her ears, folder nearly slipping from her hands. Slowly, she turned around. Ni-ki looked sway suspiciously fast. Jake suddenly found his monitor fascinating. Sunoo was staring into his coffee. Cowards. Fucking cowards. Â Y/N narrowed her eyes.
âWhich one of you did that?â
Silence. Not a single response. A few shoulders shook. Laughing. They were laughing? Her jaw clenched.
âAre you children?â
That wiped the smiles off several faces. Without another word, she walked away. The folder hit her desk harder than intended. Across the office, the seven exchanged glances.
âSheâs angry.â One of them said, in a mocking tone.
âNo way.â Another replied sarcastically.
âReally?â A snicker followed.
For some reason, their irritation had evolved into something else. Not friendship. Definitely not friendship. But they seemed obsessed with getting a reaction out of her. Unfortunately for them, Y/Nâs preferred reaction was pretending they didnât exist. And that was driving them insane.
Friday arrived. Y/N was trying to finish a report when a shadow appeared beside her desk. She didnât look up. âWhat?â She said. The shadow lingered. âWhat?â She said again. Still typing, she finally looked up. Heeseung. Of course. âWhat do you want?â Heeseung leaned casually against the wall. âSomeoneâs awfully hostile.â A scoff escaped her lips. The other 6 stopped pretending not to listen. Heeseung blinked. She returned to her report. Conversation over. She dismissed him. Again. For a second, he looked genuinely offended. Then pushed himself upright.
âYoure impossible.â
âNo.â
She didnât even look at him.
âIm busy.â
Heeseung stood there for another second. Waiting, Expecting something. A reaction. AN argument. Anything. Instead, she simply continued working. He eventually left. The moment he disappeared; she heard muffled laughter from the far side of the office. Idiots, every last one of them. She worked too hard to get this job to let a group of overgrown children drive her out.
Another week later..
It didnât feel like work anymore. Not entirely. At first it was the same routine. Assignments designed to overwhelm her. Instructions that didnât make sense. Silent coordination between the 7 that made her work harder than it needed. All because they wanted that same reaction again. But she didnât react the way they wanted. She adapted. Every single time. And it was becoming a problem.
Jay was the first to change tactics. He stopped blocking her. Started correcting her. In meetings, he would casually interrupt. âThatâs not how the system works.â She would glance at him. Check her notes, then respond calmly. âThen the system documentation is outdated.â And she would right. Every time.
They regrouped countless times, all resorting to different methods. Nothing seemed to get through to her. Except that one incident. They had all seem to think about it, but no one dared do it again after her explosive reaction. Then, the divide started. They went off on their own, all determined to break the new hire. But the lines started blurring. They didnât know if it was about getting rid of her or getting her attention.
Friday, 08;42pm
Y/N was working overtime as usual. Sunghoon and Jake were unfortunately assigned a last-minute urgent task, meaning they had to stay back. The two of them sat together at Jakeâs desk, working on the project. Neither of them said it, but they both noticed how the other kept glancing in the direction of her. An hour later, they still had a long way to go. Sunghoon went out to the closest convenience store to grab some needed energy, leaving Jake alone with Y/N.
He openly started at Y/Nâs back as she worked. He thought she wouldnât notice. Until her voice filled the silence.
âWhy are you staring?â
He was caught off guard but quickly regained composure.
âIâm not staring.â He stated, all matter-of-factly.
She turned around, looking right at him. Her cheeks, slightly pink from the humid office. For a second, his mind went blank. He never saw her in this light before. Until he realised who he was looking at. Jake leaned back slightly, trying to recover his usual careless expression.
âIf I was, itâs because youâre loud.â That caught her off guard.
âLoud?..â
âYeah.â He said, gesturing vaguely at her desk. Youâre typing too loud.â
Her expression shifted slightly.
âYou talk a lot for someone whoâs supposed to be working.â She said. He tilted his head. âI am working.â
âOn what?â He glanced at her screen. Then back at her.
âLooking at productivity patterns.â
âThat sounds made up.â
âIts not.â
âIt is.â
A faint smirk tugged at his lips before he caught himself. She saw it immediately.
âWhy are you really still here?â She asked. He didnât answer straight away. Sunghoon had gone out. He couldâve gone with him. He couldâve focused. He shouldâve focused. Instead, he found himself watching the way she worked without hesitation.
âAm I not allowed to look at you? Does it make you uncomfortable?â he said, his tone shifting to one that was supposed to make her uncomfortable.
She looked at him, eyes narrowed slightly. It turned from a back and forth to the same old Jake. She scoffed, turning back to her desk. But the quiet didnât last long. He was at her desk in just a second, stopping in front of her. She looked up at him, confused but also.. a different feeling brewing in her.
The office was dark, his chiselled features looking even more sharp in this lighting. And for the first time while she was working there, she had never wished for Sunghoon to come back more. Not because she was scared or uncomfortable, but because she wasnât.
Unconsciously, she swallowed hard. He still had the same smirk plastered on his face. Cocky. Confident. Knowing. Like he could see right through her. He bent down to eye level, looking right at her lips.
âI asked you a question. Am I not allowed to look at you?â he said, amusement written all over his face. The answers usually come quickly to her. She was sharp. Always had the last word. But this time? She was at a loss for words. Suddenly, the office was suffocating. Her thighs squeezed together so tightly, sweat beading on her body. Why was she feeling this way? It didnât go unnoticed to him either, the amusement getting even bigger. His fingers brushed a stray hair behind her ear, patting her cheek condescendingly.
âDonât worry. I wonât tell anyone about our secret.â
She was speechless. Before she could even speak, if she could even speak, Sunghoon walked in on cue, and Jake straightened up. They exchanged a glance, like he immediately knew what happened whilst he was gone. She turned off her monitor, packing her bag and practically bolting from there. She needed fresh air.
The night air hit her like a smack. What the hell was she doing? Why did she not say anything? Her feet were moving, her brain running a hundred miles a minute. She paused, looking back at the office from the ground. Her heart dropped. Sunghoon, standing there, looking right at her. She could see him clearly, a perverted smirk on his face. A knowing one. The same way Jake had looked at her in the office, like theyâd just discovered the greatest weapon to use on her. She looked at him for a moment, then turned and kept walking.
The next day, she arrived at the office. The 7 of them were there before her this time. She walked in, and to her horror, they were smiling at her. The same way Jake did. The same way Sunghoon did. She looked away, going straight to her desk. During the day, she went to the bathroom. A long walk down the hall. She turned the corner, just to walk right into a chest. She stumbled back, looking up. Jake. And he wasnât alone. Sunghoon stood behind him, leaning against the wall. They both looked at her with those same eyes as yesterday. It was driving her insane. She side stepped, wanting to just go about her day. He stepped in her way again.
âMove.â She says, trying to make her voice steady.
He laughs.
âWhy? Avoiding us?â
She looked up at him, eyes darting between the two.
âWhat do you want?â
They exchanged a glance.
âAdmit it.â Sunghoon says, looking at her.
âAdmit what?â She says, knowing exactly what he means.
âYou like it. The way we look at you.â Jake says, his excitement barely concealed.
She looked back at him, swallowing hard. Unconsciously, making sure the hallway was empty.
âI donât know what youâre talking about.â She deflected, but they noticed the way she couldnât make eye contact again. Sunghoon came closer, tilting her chin up.
âDonât be embarrassed. We want it too.â He spoke.
She paused, looking at him. All logic went out the window. Whether or not she admitted it, they were all good looking. She was stressed. They were practically offering themselves up to her. The empty bathroom was right there. Her priorities were all out of order; the thorough version of herself who would never let it escalate to this was buried under something else. A want. A need.
Before she knew it, they were leading her into the bathroom. Â And she wasnât resisting. The door shut, sealing her fate. Their hands explored with impatience, her blazer already on the floor. Jakes lips had already latched onto her neck, kissing her and leaving hickeys. Sunghoonâs fingers worked expertly against her blouse, unbuttoning them. They moved so in sync, stripping her clothes down. Her hands fell to her side, palming one of them. She didnât know where they began and where she ended. Her eyes opened, pulling at their shirts. They understood, taking off their clothes too. Jake unhooked her bra, both watching greedily as they exposed her. He kissed down from her collarbone, making his way to her chest, soft whimpers leaving her mouth. Sunghoon had kneeled on the floor, slowly pulling down her panties. He pocketed the panties whilst she was distracted, practically groaning at how wet she was. His hands ran up and down her thighs, her legs twitching. His fingers ran through her folds, watching her face intently. The way she whined for more was intoxicating. They both noticed. And they wanted more. His mouth moved closer, sucking on her clit, while Jakes mouth continued his assault on her chest, his arm wrapped around her waist, keeping her steady. His fingers inched closer, inserting one as he sucked expertly. She moaned, pleading for more. His finger moved, curling when he reached her sweet spot. Then he added another finger, speeding up. The sweat beaded on her forehead, her eyes rolling back. Her legs were shaking, her voice sounding like she was on the verge of tears. Jake kissed her, silencing her moans. Sunghoon was relentless, his speed never faltering. She was close, crying out. Her hands gripped Jakeâs shoulders so hard, digging her nails in as she came on Sunghoonâs tongue. He didnât let up, fingering her through her orgasm, not even giving her a second to think. He finally pulled his fingers out, sucking them clean. Jake slowly pushed her to her knees as they both, in sync, pulled down their boxers. She looks at the two cocks, intimidated. They both were clearly blessed in that department. Sunghoon guided her hand to his cock, and she started pumping him in her fist. Meanwhile, Jake slapped his cock against her lips, demanding she open up without speaking. And of course, she obeyed.
