How to approach cosplayers for a pic?
Depends if ur asking about at a convention or for a photoshoot?AT A CONVENTION - be kind and casual, a simple "hi do u mind if i take your picture your cosplay looks great!" Is all it can take.- dont take pics without consent or candid shots like when someones eating 🤷♀️- dont be creepy about how they look. Compliment there cosplay in a non gross way - if u dont know what it is they are cosplaying, be honest as they will know what poses suit the character and you might learn a new show/movie that u should check out!PHOTOSHOOT- contact their social media account (insta or facebook would be your best bet) and introduce yourself, the photography you do or want to do, mention you would like to work with them sometime. Point out maybe 2 or 3 of their cosplays you admire for whatever particularly reason they resonate with you. If you have one send a link to your own social media page to your photography (again, insta or fb are the best two choices here)
