born to parents who are foreign to him, nero has only ever known roman to be his family.
when nero was small, he was quiet. in that quiet lived a cruelty which only grew as time passed.
roman is not a good person but he was a father to nero. he took nero in, fed him, clothed him. raised him. taught him what he needed to know for their world.
nero grew up entrenched in his father’s business. around the ins and outs; the violence and sacrifice. he caught on quick on what it took to survive.
ever quick, ever cunning, nero studied at gotham academy and graduated a year early, went on to college, and graduated with the highest honors there, too. he studied psychology but has always had a penchant for languages.
though his father always emphasized taking care of home turf in gotham, nero simply thought his father wasn’t thinking big enough
thus, after graduating, and even during his many years of studying, nero used his family’s wealth to aid him in traveling the globe.
through the years, he’s made connections and alliances with many, many other gangs worldwide, expanding the sionis reach even farther than ever before
with his powers and penchant for cruelty, nero has never really had a hard time getting what he wants. the smooth talking aspect of him also doesn’t hurt.
so far, he’s started branches of his mutant gang in at least three cities --- the first, main, and most prominent one of these being in manhattan.
he plays both sides of the issue: making connections with the human gangs and getting them to agree to alliances for the false face society but also rallying mutants and offering a means to survive and have a community
it’s all a contingency plan, though. the branches of the mutant gang he forms are just a backup plan if his human alliances step out of line. he plays them against each other expertly
though he provides mutants with safe spaces, he will gut anyone who calls it a selfless act. everything nero does, everthing nero is --- it’s all an act, a play for something larger, an ulterior motive.
even those closest to him don’t know where his plans will go. all one needs to do it trust him.
and honestly? don’t trust him. he is cruel, he is vicious, cutthroat, backstabbing, and self-interested.
