the fact that guanyu got points in his first f1 race means so much, so so much cause i remember when he was announced and there were so many angry people! so many people here on tumblr that said he didn’t deserve it, only got it because he was bringing money with him to alfa, only got it because it looked good diversity wise for alfa(!?!?!?)

a lot of people on here were behaving disgustingly towards him because their fave white boy didn’t get the seat. and believe me, i know it’s shit when someone who is talented isn’t able to break through because of whatever issue but that is no excuse to demean another person and act like they’re worthless and undeserving.

so zhou guanyu being in the points in his first race means more than a lot of people can even imagine. i will be rooting for him to do well and better every single race week alongside val who i think is the perfect first teammate to have ❤️
