I've known since he was 2yrs old, when he would pretend to play the drums to Don Henley (he knows how to play basic drums) that he has such an awesome old soul. Apart from his liking to classical and classic rock music, he's also into classic literature such as Hamilton. Before Sito and I watched Bohemian Rhapsody, I never knew this one knows their songs too. Until we played "Dont stop me now" in the car on our way to visit Zari, he started singing along, word per word. Surprised that I was, I asked him how he knew Queen, and he told me, "Mom, who doesn't know Queen?!" To myself, I'm like, well I'm assuming nobody his age?? He's only 12 years old! But I'm so happy and proud, he has a heart for true music and true artists. Here's a video of him playing Freddie Mercury's personal favorite, "Somebody to love." Mama :'(

I want you to rest already. You've lived such a full life. You are a woman who gratefully sacrificed a lot to be a wife to Papa, mother to Dad and Titas, and most especially Lola to myself, my siblings and my cousins. I will never forget your daily routine as we get ready for school. Warm water for bathing, yummy breakfast everyday, the oil you put on our body as you pray when we get sick, making sure we eat good food and my forever favorite sweet spaghetti with hotdogs and lots of cheese.

Ma, you are more than a Lola to me. You are my Mom, my doctor, my teacher and now, my guardian angel. You have always been Ma. Thank you for your unconditional love.. A love that I wouldn't trade for anything in this world. You are an amazing woman!

When it's my turn to be a grandmom, I want to be like you. I love you Mama, rest well. Say hello to Papa for me. Dear and Darling are together again..

Le Dernier

Had a final interview with the AVP today and it was the most nerve-racking 15minutes of my life as a 33yr old grown woman! LOL

I have been working with people of different nationalities, in diverse industries so it’s not even about him being French or his position in the company. From the HR, the panel, to ADs, he is the 6th person to interview me so I wasn’t really nervous until he asked me, “So why do you think you’re a strong candidate? Why do you think they endorsed you to me?” This was his question after he told me that they will have to train me with a lot of things as I only have an extensive customer service background out of all the criterias.

I told myself, “This guy is just shaking me.” So I still stuck with my work experiences & some personal things that hoaned me to be ready & up for challenges. The interview was fast, it took me so much longer to wait for a parking slot. Mr. AVP’s last words to me before leaving his office were, “Good luck!”

30minutes after I left the building, my phone rang, it’s their HR. “Good news Heizel! He wants you!” So I guess the next time I’ll come back will be for JO. God is really really good, all the time!

Crestfallen

It's heartbreaking to realize and witness some parents who neglect their children. I know I'm not the ultimate mother, I have my shortcomings too, but I know too well that I take my son at the top of my priorities. His needs come first more than anything. Whatever I do for myself is just a remainder of everything I love doing for him. And it's sad that not all parents have the heart to take care of their kids as best they can. If only I can take over that responsibility to every child, but I have one and it's not easy. I gave up so many wants in life, many opportunities, but I had to let go of those because I choose to make my son happy. And I love that I did. I want him to grow up to be a good man. Just like any other profession, when I witness a parent not passionate about their role to their children, I take offense because I do my best to make sure that my duty as a mother is provided with all of my affection and dedication. Just like when a doctor, or a pilot, or a lawyer, encounters somebody in the same line of work, deliberately not abiding by their ethics would feel. Children nowadays are very smart, and parents need to guide and nurture that intelligence. They need that love and protection that only their parents can give, which I hope and pray that every parent does.

I am beyond proud and happy of what you have achieved at your age & of how big you look at your future. Whenever we talk about the things you like, from the smallest things you learned in a day, the video games you play, when you share to me what you & your friends talk about, the new tricks from the many sports you play, to telling me whatever is bothering you. My Scion

When you're a proud mother, you no longer have time to post things focused solely on yourself. Your feed will be filled with pictures & posts about your child or children. I won't be sorry if ever I flood talking about Qino because only hands on mothers can & will understand the outpouring love we have for our kids. I just want to share what Qino's class adviser has to say about him which was sent to me via email. "Dear Mommy Heizel, I wanted you to know that Qino did better at school this term. Thank you for hanging in there and continuing to work with us. Qino is blessed to have you in his corner. In class, he becomes more participative and has shown more confidence. His attitude towards school is excellent. He is cooperative and well-mannered. He has been consistently progressing both in academics and behavior. Congratulations to you and Qino! :) Sincerely, Ms.Jaemie" Having to read this brought me to tears because I know in my heart that my son went through so much, and yet he remained wonderful & responsible. Having separated parents & having to transfer from one school to another, with different academic traditions, it was a huge adjustment for him. He had to leave his old friends & classmates & created anxiety for currently being in a big school. But he excelled in an awe-inspiring way! Not even adults can always handle the same troubles. I have an amazing son! Even if he gets to be so makulit & so demanding sometimes, I know he makes me the super happiest! Salamat anak, mahal na mahal ka ni Mama!❤️

I haven’t been feeling well and technically still sick, was advised to rest a week but worked from home & was still judged for missing out on an event.. I have no regrets because I’m still able to watch John Legend with @elsitolito this evening! Nothing has changed from when I watched his tour back in 2008. His voice just got better & better! I wanna thank my good friend @leandromunoz for hooking me up for tickets from across the miles & to sir Ricky Lo for getting us awesome seats! Despite & in spite, blessings just keep pouring!
