“I know she’s your wife and all —” He begins as he wipes a bit of guacamole from the corner of her mouth with a napkin. “— but can you tell her I’m not a threat and you and I are history because you’re madly in love with her?” As much as he loved the bickering between him and Arizona, just like a family would, there were times he feared he would be a strain into their relationship. Sure, he was Sofia’s father, but the three of them were on this together. He proceeds to eat his taco as Sofia slept peacefully in her crib.
“I’ve told her three thousand times. I married her. Like you said she’s my wife-- you’re just... best friend slash baby daddy. Important but very, very, very, very.. VERY different relationships.” He is the best father she could ask for her child, in this situation. People may think certain things about Mark Sloan but Callie knows him better than they do. They are in this together. Arizona, Mark, and Callie raising a child together. If she can convince her wife that Sophia will be the only one she make with Mark, at least in that way.
