The Tomato Someone’s car windshield cradled this small, somewhat heart-shaped tomato. I admired the beauty of the delicate stripes & mused at why someone had put this on someone else’s car. Was it a joke? A sign of affection? Then I found the tomato like this: carelessly tossed aside, helpless, picked at probably by some scavenger animal. It just reminded me how there’s beauty in everything & how easily humans can toss things aside without any thought.
