"How irksome."
Dimensional magic was no easy thing to do. The simple act of transporting from one place to another required manipulating the tiny rifts of space and time and even the most skilled magoi manipulators can have mishaps when attempting to do so.
A little exercise, that’s what it was.
Just a simple exercise in technique. Nothing more, nothing less.
"… I didn’t know you picked on children now, Sinbad." Ren Kouen smirks teasingly as he steps out of the transport pentagram, his aura as regal and imposing as ever.
Now things were starting to heat up. Looks like Sinbad cracked the right code and got the little heliohapt to go crying and scrambling to his ‘daddy’. Sinbad wore a grin on his face as he replied smugly.
"Well well, look who decided to turn up. I didn’t think you’d take a defensive position over a Heliohapt boy."
When the portal opened, and Kouen stepped out, Sphintus felt himself moving subconsciously closer to the redhead. Though when Sinbad spoke, green eyes narrowed, finding a small anger filling his chest as his people and his country were spoke of as something lesser.
"I told you, I man more than a posession" He muttered, grateful Kouen had actually shown up, knowing how much worse it would have been had his call gone unanswered.

"Care to provide proof?"
"Fine... I'll let you hear from his mouth" The Heliohapt told the King stubbornly, pulling the small Eye of Ruhk that Kouen had given him upon leaving the Empire, using it to call the man in question.
"I...I need you to come to Sindria. There is trouble. Please?"
What about you Sphintus?
"And has he actually told you he cares for you and means it? Kouen is a lot more devious than you can think of. You seem to be too wound up in him to even see the true self he’s hiding."
"O-Of... Of course he means it. I know him a lot better than you do! He isn't hiding anything from me, I am aware of what and who he is.... Doesn't mean he's lying to me"
"You seem to be quite keen on refusing me despite not knowing what I need. He definitely has you wrapped around his finger doesn’t he? I awnt information on him. I want to know what he’s up to. I want you to be my spy~."
"I am not wrapped around anyone's finger, I make my own decisions and I refuse to spy on someone that I care about for your benefit. If you want to deal with him so badly I can call him here, I don't think he'd be too pleased to know you are trying to blackmail me to find out information about him. He cares about me too you know...."

"Your status could be at risk if you don’t agree with me. I’m sure your relationship with him would go down well with the King of Heliohapt, hm?"
"T-They've already exiled us once....I.... What are you even asking me to do!? I don't have influence over him besides... Ugh! I refuse"
"Don’t be ridiculous. With your involvement, you will necessarily be… bait shall we say? You will be my chance to lure in Kouen."
"Bait!? What makes you think I'd agree to something like that!!"
"You really need to be aware of whom you’re dealing with."
"A politician with an agenda it seems, sounds like home. Tell me then, what benefit can you gain from my involvement with Kouen. He doesn't tell me about his plans or anything that could aid you in a war. I have nothing to tell you"
"Oh so the highly intoxicating sex meant nothing at all? I apologise."
"W-What I... No it... I. Sir how do you..."
"I need to speak to you regarding a certain individual with whom I’ve heard you’ve been… gallivanting with as of late. Ren Kouen ring any bells?"
Shit.
"I know of him yes, I am not sure what knowledge on him I might have that would aid you in any way..."
heliohapt-healer started following you
"You must be Sphintus Carmen, right? Come with me, I need to discuss something with you."
"Yes, I am sir.... O-Oh? Of course...What did you need to discuss?"

The Fanalis struggle // Open
"Again…" Morgiana muttered under her breath as she darted forward for another punch at one of the water dummies Yamuraiha had left for her to play with as an alternative to one of Masrur’s more harsher training rocks.
It was a hot day and the Fanalis girl could feel the sweat dripping excessively from her forehead but with the threat of Al Thamen and the Kou Empire lurking around the corner, she had no time for idleness if she wanted to help her two friends as best she could.
Yet nothing she did made the technique her teacher had shown her come out correctly. It was a move that relied heavily on speed which was something Morgiana was weakest in. Her fighting style, much like many of the Fanalis, relied on a weight and strength which together could deal a lot of damaged if it hit you directly. But, of course, because of the lack of speed and magoi any kicks rarely did hit spot on so they stuck to aiming for legs or arms— some way to slow down the opponent before dealing any heavy damage. Due to this, the Fanalis way of fighting was constantly misinterpreted as brutal despite it being a style evolved for hunting animals rather than humans.
Masrur was taught different kinds of fighting unlike Morgiana. He could use a sword (even if he didn’t use it so much now) so speed was something he’d picked up. Morgiana on the other hand had never been taught anything more than what she remember from when she was young and had built it up into her own rough-and-tumble way while still a slave.
Of course that wasn’t going to stop her in anyway. Her hands clenched into tight fists once more as she distanced herself from the dummy again, unaware that someone had began to approach towards her.
It wasn’t often that Sphintus came to Sindria, when he got the rare opportunity to travel he more often than not made his way to see his old roommate and friend. With Aladdin tied up in some business or other, the healer made his way through the grounds of the palace, still in awe of the stark difference in the lush atmosphere of Sindria compared to his own scorching homeland, or the cooler climate of where he’d currently been residing. With soft grass moving under his sandaled feet, Sphintus had lost himself entirely to the presence that Sindria seemed to hold and almost missed that he wasn’t alone in the gardens.
Seeing the flash of red hair, Sphtinus stopped, just allowing himself to watch as the girl moved, clearly training herself with what seemed to be sparing equipment created by water magic. The use of combat and magic together immediately piqued his interest, reminding him of the day he’d watched Aladdin and Titus fight. The combination of the two could be a powerful and almost deadly duo, and if this girl had summoned her own dummies it intrigued him what else she might be capable of.
Though as he studied her movements, he began to realize that her magoi wasn’t nearly strong enough to have created such apparatus, but he didn’t pay it much attention, green eyes instead followed her movements in awe. The time he’d spent in Reim had given him an appreciation for the Fanalis and their strength and this girl was no different. Her moves seemed rougher at the edges than the corps but they still held the same passion and dedication.
When she paused to catch her breath he stepped forward, giving her a smile. “I’m impressed, it’s not every day you get to stumble on such a display” He called, lifting a hand in a wave, approaching where Morgiana stood. “I can only assume, you must be Morgiana?” He asked, recalling the name that Aladdin had spoken of so fondly.
