it never stops me, because this blog is my brain's safe space, but it does make me think a bit before hitting post

Because tell me why I wake up at 9am my time and i feel like i'm dying but when i try to go to sleep i physically can't

stop putting the posts talking about major world issues on my damn feed because they do nothing but further convince me this world is a shithole and i should save myself the pain and put a knife through my heart

like i know we're 2 years from tipping point and trump is undermining our democracy and people like me are murdered every day and im going to be next

and i'm not saying people shouldn't post about this stuff. it's very important to be talking about this stuff so that those who can do stuff about it can do stuff about it. but man

and before you say "stop burying your head in the sand" and "this mentality is why these problems get worse" don't. i already know enough about how fucked our society is. and whenever there is something i can do about it, i do it. i attend the protest. i sign the petition. but usually there's nothing i can do about it, because i am a minor with zero political influence and zero money. i have enough anxiety attacks already. let me have my escapes from reality.
