𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 is a slasher, hybrid group for muns and muses 21+! crafted from wood to flesh, ready to give life to the counselors of camp hollow’s river — famous for the great waterfall and the old massacre. oh, let’s all ignore its murderous past and enjoy the long - awaited reopening! we know this summer is going to be killer.
oh, here comes the admin who talks too much … well, yes! i just needed to make a proper thank you litou essay, because i need to show how thankful i was / am. i dreamed about this space, then i wrote it out, and then a friend jumped in and was like yay, let’s do this! but everybody knows that a rp without amazing writers is just … an unfulfilled wish. everybody — every single oooooone of you, player or not — who showed interest helped me to push things forward. thank you to every greyzy, every anon, every question. thank you for every applicant and, with a bloody hug, thank you to all my dear writers. i apologise for my lack of time & stamina to do all i wanted, and i am most grateful to meet amazing characters and see my camp come to life. you guys made it possible, unique, amazing, fun! and i’m forever thankful. camp hollow doesn’t agree with closed caskets, and i hope to meet you again — here, or at some other haunted ground.
ghostly kisses, my dearests! thank you for a killer time. <3
yes, my dear greyzy, we are still a thing, but just like the thing (1982) we decided to hide for a bit; for now, it is better to take the shape of a closed group. the remaining writers decided to trust fate and we will have our last group thread by the first week of november … which means : the end is near. i do have the burning desire to make this plot happen again in the future, so maybe we will have a hellas 90s edition next year? who knows? thank you for your interest, and i missed you greyzies very, veeeery much! <3
nobody remembers who said it first, but it’s just a fact by now: the camp was cursed. maybe it was just a joke, tossed around after the blackout, the storm, the shadows. maybe it was serious. maybe it was a warning, a fear so great it turned out to be the truth.
but now the rain won’t stop. the woods feel swollen with it, the lake darker by the hour. the colonel keeps saying it's the weather. the counselors keep pretending to believe him.
whatever this is, it’s coming in waves. one strange thing, then another. a pattern, a rhythm, a punishment. for the next few weeks, the camp will hold its breath as the curse rolls through, two days at a time. the counselors will take the first hits. the kids will follow. the woods will watch.
so keep your hands clean, keep your flashlights charged, don’t drink the lake water and don’t open your door after dark.
the lake turns dark :
the first to fall. or float. the lake goes wrong overnight : black as oil, thick as ink, reflecting nothing. it smells faintly metallic, and anything pulled from it (fish, buckets of water, even the oars) comes up coated in a film that won’t wash off. the colonel says it’s algae. everyone else knows better.
first to spot : kayla .
the frogs arrive :
they come at dusk … hundreds, then thousands, piling against cabin doors, squelching underfoot, croaking until the sound becomes a heartbeat. the campers scream, the counselors shovel, but they just keep coming. the frogs vanish as suddenly as they arrived, leaving behind the stench of wet earth and something older.
first to spot : duckie .
the thing in the dark :
somewhere near the firepit, or by the trail, or just outside the cabins … it appears. an animal, maybe, with too many legs, or too few. its eyes catch the light wrong. it watches, it waits, it disappears before anyone can get close. it always comes at the same hour each night.
first to spot : nico .
the whispering children :
the campers grow quieter, huddled together and whispering in tones too low to catch. when pressed, they say nothing — or murmur about the man in red who tells them secrets they’re not supposed to share. should the counselors stop asking questions?
first to notice : cierra .
the fog :
it rolls in slow and steady, swallowing the camp whole. flashlights flicker, beams cut no further than a few feet, and voices echo where they shouldn’t. after ten p.m., there’s no seeing, only hearing — and sometimes you hear things that answer back too quickly.
first to spot : genesis .
the rain of glass :
it starts as drizzle, but when it hits the ground, it cuts. tiny, sharp, glittering shards mixed with water. windows crack from the inside, like something pushing out. no one dares to look up. or down, really. just staying inside for a bit might be the safe way to deal with this.
first to spot : wren .
the silence of the woods :
the birds stop. the bugs stop. the wind stops. it’s like the forest itself is holding its breath. sound doesn’t carry — even screams die halfway between the cabins and the trees. when you try to say something inside the woods, they just steal it from you. why? also, do you really want to question that?
first to notice : jamie .
the red dawn :
the sun rises blood-red and doesn’t fade to gold. the mist glows with it, thick and copper-tinted, and for one long morning, the world looks scorched. when the light finally clears, the camp feels … different. but who will be brave enough to investigate why?
first to spot : thalia .
the crimson moon :
it rises heavy and slow, dripping color across the lake until even the water looks bruised. the sky stays cloudless, but the light burns wrong … too bright to ignore, too dark to trust. shadows stretch thin and long, bending where they shouldn’t. for one long night, the whole camp glows like an open wound: red, aching, bright. the moon is red and you don’t need a flashlight.
first to spot : georgia-lee .
the sleep that won’t stay :
no one can rest. eyes burn, minds drift, but sleep won’t hold. those who doze off wake up within minutes. the real world is so quiet, all the weird things that happened those couple of days are now gone … so what is this? anxiety? or just an omen for tomorrow?
first to notice : lucas .
hello, dearests! this is the beginning of their end, can you believe it? choose a partner, drop a starter or just do a solo para to make your muse go through all of that. everybody will experience the curses, but those who notice it first are the unlucky ones because, for some reason, it just feels … worse for the top #1. check our discord to read more details and thank you! <333333
two days after the campers rolled in, the sky finally broke. it had been brooding all morning : heavy clouds, wet leaves, the kind of quiet that makes you check over your shoulder. until the storm cracked open in the middle of the afternoon. one sharp bang, louder than anything the colonel’s rifle could dream of, and then … silence. and darkness.
every bulb in hollow’s river fizzled out. the cabins, the mess hall, the infirmary … all of it swallowed in shadow. the storm didn’t stop, not really. rain kept needling the rooftops, and the woods hummed with things too far away to see. the generator? fried. the phones? dead. the camp? blind.
so here’s the deal : for the next two, maybe three days, there’s no electricity. no lights, no radios, no distractions. just flashlights if your batteries hold, matches if your nerves do. the counselors are on patrol, walking the grounds at night, making sure the kids stay tucked in their bunks and the woods stay where they belong.
the storm is outside and the night is everywhere.
patrol roster : blackout edition !
no lights means no safety. no safety means patrol. the colonel says pairs : two sets of eyes, two sets of footsteps, two chances to make it back to the cabin.
you didn’t pick your partner. maybe that’s mercy. maybe it’s punishment. either way, here’s who you’re stuck with in the dark:
a bottled message × a sore talisman
a living statue × a pretty portrait
a tragic headline × a double-edged sword
a rage bait × a parched grave
a terrified lamb × a lost stare
a fogged mirror × a misplaced crown
a genius’ hideout × a wounded animal
a misfitting shoe × a boil over
patrol starts at sundown. you’ll circle the cabins, you’ll listen for footsteps that don’t belong, you’ll make sure every kid stays put. or at least, you’ll try. don’t fall behind. don’t wander off. and if your flashlight flickers out, well … hope your partner likes holding hands.
players, check our discord for extra info about this plot drop!
⯨ ⸺ 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤, 𝐜𝐡. 𝟕𝟏𝟐. 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟒𝟑𝟎𝟑𝟏 , the omen .
a long bus ride and a bunk assignment, all over again ... don’t you worry, counselor, i’m talking about the kids’ duties. which can be … yours, sure, but well, let’s focus on the good for now. you are responsible for saying : welcome to camp hollow, everybody ! and please, make sure to smile while doing so. we know the staff survived training (barely), and now it’s the kids’ turn to sweat, smile, & maybe bleed a little.
⸺ what’s on the menu?
the red moon luau : tiki torches, dollar-store leis, and a punch bowl that looks a little too … red. music’s playing, shadows are swaying, and if you swear you saw someone slip into the treeline? no you didn’t. grab a dance partner, grab a (NON ALCOHOLIC) drink, and hope the fire only crackles.
hike & hive : the red moon didn’t kill ya? great! you have a camp tour the next day. and oh, it comes with a special guest : an angry swarm of bees (or are they wasps?). maybe they’re normal. maybe they’re not. either way, running, swatting, and screaming are encouraged. bonus points if you don’t trip over a rock.
thoughts? prayers? i bet you gonna need those. look alive! and enjoy it. the colonel will drop some news soon, so get your ears ready. and your blankets. the red moon always brings the cold, maybe the rain … anyways, summer miracles, am i right? thank you for your time, counselor.
our chapter two is here, players! kids will arrive, luau is happening, and a little tragedy is coming as well. need help to write away? come with me, i got candy & prompts:
red moon luau :
1. someone swears the ukulele player is playing backwards. how would you even tell?
2. your drink tastes wrong. sweet, bitter, metallic — what is inside it?
3. the fire cracks, and for a second, it calls your name. you’re sure of it.
4. a shadow joins your dance circle. you count the campers again ... someone’s extra.
5. you wander away to toss your cup, but the woods seem closer than they should be.
6. a counselor takes your photo. when you check it, someone else is standing behind you.
hike & hive :
7. you feel the first sting — but when you slap your arm, there’s no bug, only a human-like bite mark.
8. the buzzing follows you even after the swarm scatters. maybe it’s just in your head.
9. you trip over a root and land in something sticky.
10. a camper panics, and suddenly you’re in charge of keeping them safe.
11. the insects seem to target only you. what did you do to deserve this?
12. a kid screams — but it’s not from a sting. something else grabbed them.

nadya soknon as 𝐚 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞-𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 , written by chelley !
“ might be nice to leave the rumors back home. ” care to share your story, nadya? i never met anyone as mysterious as you. do i have to fight a big dragon to get to your heart? i might. look, this camp doesn’t need more mysteries, but you look like a final boss to us, so just try to help us keep everybody ALIVE and well. also, i’d love to be part of your morning runs. need a stalker?
welcome, beasties! you got 24h to join our discord ( link in our pinned, but lmk if it's not working ) and 48h to send us your muse's blog. thank you so much for your time, patience, interest and love! there's a little timeline on our discord so you can be in touch with everything and anything we got going on. thank you again! <3
GATHER ROUND, HORROR FREAKS ! how’s your luck? how’s your spooky season spirit? well, we are cooking a meaty meal for you over here, and some skeletons are left for you to suck on. i mean, some bones. don’t get feisty! you still got a couple of hours before our submit closes. today’s acceptance day, and you feel wanna be part of the feast … just join us in the kitchen. apps are open. recipes are up. the cooker aka hannibal lecter? probably watching you already.
TONIGHT, THE FOREST WENT QUIET … and everyone knows what that means. when the frogs stop croaking and the air smells like someone’s been burning cedar, you don’t run. you listen. the walkie crackled earlier, just once, and all it said was ... 🗣️ : “DON'T COME HERE, IT'S TOO DANGEROUS.”
sounds like an invitation to us. so, counselors, we’ll see you by the bonfire, right where the story always gets good. the one where the radio static turns into a voice, and the voice says your name. where you pick up the flashlight even though you know you shouldn’t. where someone — maybe you — doesn’t make it back to camp before lights out.
ACCEPTANCES DROP TOMORROW — TUESDAY, SEPT 16 @ 8PM EST. apps are still open for five skeletons that are just dying to be picked up : a double-edged sword , a sore talisman , a crooked hairbrush , a wounded animal & an impossible riddle .
hellasummers is a character-driven summer camp slasher rp with a plot that’s silly, spooky, and just dangerous enough to keep you checking over your shoulder. come play before the fire goes out.
well, grab your popcorn and your least-stained camp shirt, because your acceptance date is officially set in stone — and blood — for tuesday, september 16th @ 8PM ( est ). but wait! this is the part where the final girl trips and the killer tilts his head … we are STILL accepting apps until then. which means you have one week-ish to sneak into camp, grab a skeleton ( we've got 5 just standing around the lake ), and make yourself a protagonist before the screams start again.
they say if you listen closely, just past the frogs and the cicadas, you can hear it. the woods breathe different on nights like this. we just got our third app in, which marks an end for all this waiting … but endings at camp hollow’s river never mean quiet. they mean something else wakes up. we will decide and announce our next acceptance date tonight. until then, the counselors are keeping vigil, plotting the next scream, waiting for a fourth knock at the cabin door. five skeletons wait for their vessel : a double-edged sword, a sore talisman, a crooked hairbrush, a wounded animal & an impossible riddle. step closer, and maybe the whispers will call your name.
the ouija planchette just skidded and the masked killer just gave us a thumbs-up. plus ... we got our third app. that means … the acceptance date is crawling out of the grave very, very soon. but don’t panic scream yet! the camp gates are still open, the skeletons still standing in the shadows, waiting for someone to step into their shoes. we’re still accepting apps, which means you can join this bloody summer before the first batch of counselors get locked in with the screams. come for the marshmallows, stay for the massacre.
