@hellboundramsey
Iâm just covering my bases.Â
So you ask me?Â
Burger date?
I found a nice little piece of paper
Yeah⊠Iâve got nothing.
No, that's my line. I bet you have a good memory somewhere of your mother in that head of yours.
I found a nice little piece of paper
Thereâs nothing good.
There's always something good. Some of us just have to think harder.
I found a nice little piece of paper
I know. Itâs just⊠sitting there though.
So wipe that sad look off your face and think of the good stuff that comes with it.
I found a nice little piece of paper
It has my motherâs handwriting on it.
You know, you shouldn't do that to yourself.
You didnât see Ben did you?
Ben? As in Lucas' brother? Why would I have seen him?Â
Enjoy yourself?
I always do.
That was a well needed five days away.
Girls Night In {Tessa + Anna}
"Well sheâs dead." Anna blurted out, the alcohol having more of a voice than sheâd expected. She froze for a moment but then decided that tonight wasnât the night to be anxious. After another long drink from their tall bottle she took a deep breath, "It was a fire. A lot of people died actually," she found herself coolly spewing out her words, "Iâm over it. Not really," she said with a chuckle, although she wasnât quite sure what was so funny.
Hearing the girls next words, Tessa froze, bottle midway to her lips before putting it back down. "I'm so sorry," she muttered, wondering if she should be regretting the idea to bring out alcohol. "Do you want to talk about it? Or-- I don't know. I know what it's like to have a bad past. Sometimes I want to tell people to screw off, and other time's I just want to tell my entire story and have a complete breakdown."Â
Girls Night In {Tessa + Anna}
Anna smiled, laying down perpendicular to Tessa so that her head was by her hand, âNo promises,â she began to paint Tessaâs nails. âOh Iââ Anna furrowed her brows, trying to remember the last time sheâd had a girls night in like this, âProbably back home. With my old friendâŠâ Anna tried to maintain her smile, not wanting to think about what happened to her weeks later, âBut back then my mom hid all of the alcohol from us. This is much better,â she paused to swipe the tequila, taking a big swig before handing it back to Tessa.
Watching Anna, Tessa didn't even realize she had opened the door to something more personal-- life at home. Just hearing her talk about her friend, she could tell it wasn't a welcomed topic. Hell, Tessa wasn't about to talk about her life either, but the alcohol running through her system was making her curious. If that was a good thing or not, she couldn't tell. "Alcohol does make things a hell of a lot better," she said, gently leaning into her own hand. "Have you talked to your friend since? You know-- kept connected and all that jazz?"Â
Annaâs eyes widened at the loss of the bottle in her hands, which turned to uncontrolled laughter. Anna wasnât a lightweight, but sheâd been drinking for the past hour â it all starting with the stress of looking at those 20 unpacked boxes piled high in her closet. Then, her brother had called giving her news that her grandmother had become very sick. So, it was convenient at the time that the liquor was within walking distance of her apartment complex. To top it all off, she was falling behind on rent. To say that it had been a crappy day would be an understatement. âDark,â she teased before snatching the black polish and unscrewing the top, âToes or nails first? If weâre gonna do this weâre gonna go all the way â that means Iâm painting your nails.â
Letting out a laugh, Tessa lied down on her stomach, sticking out her left hand while clutching onto the bottle with her right. "By all means, have at it. I hope you have a steady hand, Anna." While drinking some more, Tessa was doing whatever she could to get as drunk as possible. With everything that had been going on since she'd come back, that's all she'd been wanting to do. Spend a night with no drama, no threats, no deaths, and get drunk. "When's the last time you had a night like this? Because, to be honest, I've been wanting one for too long."Â
Anna giggled, feeling way happier than usual â side effects of the alcohol. âMe too,â she said, grabbing a bottle of tequila from her pantry and setting it next to the tray of nail colors that sheâd laid on her fuzzy carpet in the living area. Anna switched on the stereo before milling over the nail colors. âOoh ââ she exclaimed, eyeing a navy blue, âI want this one. BlueâŠâ she drug out the word giddily, shaking the bottle.
Slowly sitting down on the carpet, Tessa didn't wait to take the bottle out of Anna's hands and bring it to her lips. As a vampire, constantly drinking and not having to worry about any organs shutting down always had its perks, especially in moments like these. Tessa needed some normality in her life, and she would be damned if she didn't get that tonight. "That black one is mine," she muttered, laughing as she took another swig of the bottle in front of her.
I donât like idle time.Â
You could use that time to relax, you know?Â
Oh my god, why does that actually sound like a good idea?
Give me another shot and Iâll run to get the nail polish.
Well, in my eyes, the last time I had girl time was-- a long time ago.Â
Let's do it.
Someone looks a little stressed out.
