13. After fiddling with Krita for a generous amount of time, I decided I now understood it well enough to go back to studying fundamentals. That demands I split my time between studying and painting, so for this day I thought I'd go with something simpler. Of course this took longer than a landscape. For whatever reason. That's my study time down the drain.

10. (Yay!) Clouds are HARD

Nothing to see here. Just a water tower with bushes and some very normal clouds.

(Yes I was not in the right mind for painting, and I'm annoyed with the outcome.)

8. New subject, very different palette. The colour play between the clouds and the lower sky is my favourite part.

Sardine Sky turned Post Apocalypse. That escalated quickly after messing around with some filters. And look, people!

3. Tried a palette that was not monochrome. Starting to get a feeling for Krita tools and brushes. Starting to learn how to paint clouds.

2. Second try.

I had used various art software in the past 20 years, but Krita was completely new to me before yesterday's picture. And for the past five years, I had only done pixel art. But I feel I'm slowly getting the hang of this. Very slowly.
