56 HOURS TO GO!!!!

Cosplay in Colorado is a gallery show that will take place in Denver, CO this July.  The show is meant to show off Colorado’s beauty, educate our local community about cosplay, and show cosplay photography as fine art.

AND WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP.

We’re funded (woo hoo!) but we have 10 photos on the waitlist!  Photos take about $35 to print, each, and we’d like to get as many photos as we can in the physical show.

We have awesome rewards that are still available, including getting your photo on our backer wall, getting prints from the show (the only time this will be available!), and many more.  We also have sponsorship tiers!

All our rewards are accessible by anyone with a internet connection and a mailing address!  So get ‘em before they’re gone! I’m not very good at much, but I really like to try. I pained BMO bag free hand last year (big bag on right) and tonight I came across a tiny credit card holder thingy that I decided to also free hand paint like BMO… I’m not gonna outline the little one cause painting felt sucks.

Dunno, I think it’s cute. Face part isn’t dry yet so I’ll add it tomorrow. :D I want to try to find the same little card holder in a gray so I can make CMO and hang it off BMO and have it be cannon in size

To test out my brothers Dj Pon3 headphones I decided to throw together a super quick DjPon3 cosplay. Gonna dye the hat to her hair colors and add a little horn so he dosent have to use a wig. I thought it would be a cute idea. The music notes are meant to be worn down so get the full effect. I didn't want a billion things going on on his head. The notes glow in the dark along with a patch on the side.

Here’s a peek at my original design Dj Celestia outfit for Anime Boston this year. I still have a tiny bit of work to do but nothing too big. The last pic with the mirror is so you can see my tiny wings that I will be sewing into the tank top, so those straps won’t be there.

Also gonna pop all the buttons off seeing as it won’t close around my chest (lol) also the necklace part will cover that so no worries. Got a tiny bit of green to add to the wig, but yeah, almost 100% done on this.

Workin on my original design on my brothers Dj Pon3 headphones for Anime Boston this year. Used some game cube disks on the sides, craft foam for the music notes. Hand painted the gradient on the sound waves on the top. Gonna clear coat this tomorrow then attach the music notes. OH the music notes glow in the dark too. I might add a few more details later too…

Very early preview of Dj Celestia (my little pony) TONNNNNSSS of work still needs to be done, so please don't judge too harshly.... Still need to do a ton of work to the wig. I went with brighter colors then she normally has. Need to color the yellow green. Also cut in some bangs and curl them. The headphones are not even close to being finished... This is just one side of them. I made the sun a bit choppy and rough looking. I still need to paint the ear part. I'm going to make a tiny crown and horn for the top. I'm going to attach it to the headphones and not the wig. The suns glow in the dark. Not super bright but under black light they glow and even in darkness. (Last pic is bad but you get the idea) and parts of the actual headphones

Attack on Titan Hanji Zoe wig test. To be honest I can't remember where I ordered the wig... It's off eBay I think. Got a longer base and then a pony tail part. I had to straighten the base and curl the pony tail part. All I have to do is fluff the bangs a tad and then make it a tad more un-brushed (is that a word?) I didn't do a makeup test this run. She tends to have a natural look so I'm not too worried with one. Just need to darken up my eyebrows a tiny bit... Also I didn't put in my brown contacts... If I can find the square lenses I'll attempt the goggles, if not, I'll get frameless glasses.

Workin on some props and my cat; Momiji wanted to help by squishing himself into my lap so that I had to lean back and stop working… Thus getting me to pet him. 15 minutes later he’s sound asleep and I’m not getting anything done… /sigh

Forest Spirit Deer WIP.

just playing around with some ideas. I like to style wigs while I am in them so i can see if it works well.

layering some ivy in my wig. I will have a moss crown with large antlers so please forgive the flatness of the front of the wig, that will be covered up. 

also trying out a new way to put makeup on. i have sensitive skin and no matter how mild the makeup is i tend to break out so im trying some new ways. it came out very light so im gonna darken it up a tad another time.

Have you gone to King Richard's Faire? Have you gone to it in cosplay? A few of my friends go a few times a year, and mostly they are in StarGate: Atlantis cosplay. Which have gotten noticed and praised by some of the cast, including the King.
