Building fixes :3
Finished the cliff face, probably won't get to rebuilding the forest on top of it for quite a while, but this was a good step for me to do anyways ^^
There's quite a beauty in chaos...
Designing some terrain on a copy of my world, I think I like where this is going :D
Your Kowloon project is super cool :0!! Are you doing interiors or just focusing on the exteriors? What got you interested in doing the project in the first place? Wishing you luck on finishing it, it's coming along super well from the looks of it!!
Hi! Yes, I am doing the interiors as well! which is probably the biggest reason why this is taking me so long to construct lol. The way I got into the build I think was when I was watching a playthrough of the game Stray, I must've saw something about how the slums region was inspired by K.W.C. And when I started researching, I instantly got hooked, which sent me down a long rabbit hole of trying to find out everything I can about this incredibly unique and one of a kind city. I was skeptical at first though, due to how much of an undertaking this project would be, but after a while I decided that It would be worth it. A thing I found rather funny was how originally back when I started the project, 5/10/25, I was in the mindset that I was going to be the first person to ever build a full recreation of the city. Only then to find out Sluda Builds happened to make a whole build of the city in August XD So guess I'm not the "first", but I'll still hold the title of the most accurate and detailed depiction of the city >:3c But, enough of getting sidetracked, thanks for the kind words! It always means a lot! If there is anything else you would like to know, I'd be happy to answer! If not, then I hope I answered your questions well :D
(Here's a cross section of the build in case you wanted to see, I did have to use structure blocks for it, though I generally try to avoid using cheats, aside from spectator mode for photography of course.)
Progress on the northwest corner ^^
22% of the city complete 435 rooms interiored :D
West side of the city
Hello! A little update on the city :D Sense I last posted, 12 buildings (70+ rooms) have been crammed into this small area XD Crazy honestly, but the feel of the city is starting to come together for sure. Once I figure out how to properly detail the roofscape, I think we'll be golden from here on out (aside from the temple & Yamen, but that will arise when it comes)
Were roughly done with the west side now :D (I say west knowing damn well its facing the north...)
There's a few interiors and a water station I have yet to build, but the main form of it has come together!
This is the map of the city so far
Anyways, it's going great :D, hope this city won't make my computer explode with just how dense it is. :p
Hello! I'm HelloCity, and I'm building Kowloon Walled City in MC!
Honestly I don't know why I didn't make this account sooner, but at least I did now, hopefully I can document my progress on this mega build a lot better than what I was doing previously! The goals with this build is to be accurate towards the real K.W.C, while still looking good within the game. This means we are following the general rules of the actual city's construction, as well as following the real floor plan details. :)
I know full well that this project will take me a long, long time to finish with my current schedule. But this should be fun to build regardless! And with that, I'll catch you guys later :D
