About 

Changes of my perception during quarantine

- My perception was mainly focused on realities, objects themselves; but during quarantine, I have focused on more imagination, more conceptual viewpoints. 

- My inspirations mostly came from the new environment, new space and new experiences so I usually went out to boost my imagination. After quarantine has started I was facing obstacles viewing limited resources of visualization. 

Staying inside= lack of creativity 

-My imagination and visual thinking developed by seeking the new inspiration. 

-> Boost of my creativities focusing on imaginations.

Some memories of my first and only time going out during this quarantine. I never thought I would be so happy to just walk around and take sole fresh air.

Very peaceful~ I can feel your happiness through your photos. The photos are bright and light with earth colors, green, red and browns so give positive emotions. Through your photos, I feel I’m walking next to you. I love your color tone of your all photos.

I love all the interaction between each tree branches. Because of the sky, the branches are look like shawdows. I started at it to see a details of the each branches and the leaves. The harmony between the background, sky and the objects, tree branches is attractive.

The photos are very eye catching. I really like how you show your bored feeling with plain everyday objects and give a sparkles that show the little hope to be fun. I felt the same thesedays. Everything is boring. I need a hint of sparkles:)

The photos are simple and minimized so I could concentrate on the photos directly. Personally, I like close up photos that shows the texture of the objects so these are the satisfied to look at and see the textures.  The unusual camera angles of the objects are also made me interested to look at.

Where do we shine the light on what we see? What do we pay attention to? I find this image seizes me. So I need to go deeper into what it is that grabs me here. The light bulb, clearly visible at left. is demanding that I pay attention to what it illuminates. It casts a circle of light on a corner of a room. A door is visible, but in the time of COVID 19 doors keep us in and also allude to a way  out. It lights up a stool, a place to sit, yet the place is empty. And the mystery of the obvious intention in making this photograph draws me to it. I continue to think on it and the lights used in interrogation of people are brought to mind. As creators we need to interrogate ourselves in many ways. The self-portraiture assignment may come to your minds. I wonder whether you all will read this and re-post it with your comments on this single image, a very potent one to my mind.

I think this is interesting because it is clear the set up is meant for a person to be photographed as a portrait, but without the subject in the picture, you can really appreciate the set that frames the picture.

By seeing& reading the post, the photograph feels alive. The importance of the lights and the angle that highlight are espionage element to consider for the shoot. Personally, door metaphor " freedom also caged" was very strong effect. I changed the view to see this photo.

Yes, I think that reflection is a false reality, a second dimension that could be deformed and show us something else.

The reflection is an another dimension which is allow to be seen through some surfaces. Depending on the surface, the light and the angle of view the reflection is different, each factor creates a different representation of the world... but do there is a « real reflection » that show us best how the world is? Is a flat mirror the best referential? The reflection allow us to ask ourselves about the reality of what we see and the consciousness that we have of our own representation.

ARTISTIC SIMILARITIES: CONCEALMENT

Both photos use the concept of only showing parts of the face to portray a disguise, however Sun puts the focus on her eye while I do the opposite. Sun uses darkness around her to put a literal spotlight on her eye. This forces us to focus solely on it and nothing else. I on the other hand use a plant in the foreground to create a physical blockade between the viewer and my eyes. Both of us are disguised, but in different ways.
